So disappointed!! I really wanted these but for some reason the eyelets dug into the top of my foot and they felt very tight across the top of the foot. I originally ordered a 6-1/2 and just thought I needed to go up a size. They have an excellent arch support so I'm so sad I had to return these.

Great looking shoes but the toe box in both sizes 7 and 7.5 are too small. Unfortunately I'm sending back

I tried the Taos Plim Soul, Star and Star Burst and ended up getting the Teva Freewheel. I am a true 7.5 and all 4 pairs were sized .5 too small. The Taos had a stiffer insole but because of the height, I barely had room for my toes in the toebox and could feel it rub through socks.

I was very disappointed in this purchase for the following reasons: The heel is wider than on the Taos Star design and thus slips a little; It was obvious the shoes had been returned before and then sent on for my purchase(shoe strings we placed differently, the shoe box was torn up in places); for some reason the foot bed in the right shoe doesn't fit my foot as it should so I've had to use a foot bed from a previous pair; the tongue on the left shoe is longer than on the right and consequently digs a bit into my skin. Unfortunately I had to wear the shoes before I realized all of the fit issues so I didn't feel I could return them. I won't buy this design again as it is too much of an investment to be so disappointed.

My normal shoe is 7.5-8. I have narrow heel and wide toebox. I ordered the Taos Moc Star, Star, and Starburst – size 8 in the first and 8.5 in the others. Q&As indicated that all the Taos sneakers are similar shape/sizing, but it was too hard to see design differences online so I got one of each. The shape of the foot that Taos uses is straighter and narrower than my own, especially in the toebox. The size 8 was too short; my big toe bumped the end. The larger size was long enough, but too narrow for the big toe side of my foot, pinched the sides, and also did not have enough volume in toebox for my big toe. The Starburst canvas seemed stiffer than the other two. All three have gone back. I ended up getting a Keen sneaker.

This box contained 2 different sizes. One is 9.5 as indicated but the other one is 8.5. Never had this happened before now.

This is is best brand for narrow casual shoes. Excellent quality, great selection, comfort and style. I have 10 pairs of Taos shoes!

These are my third pair of Taos Star Bursts. I haven't found any other shoe that compares when it comes to arch support. I have ordered 8s in the past but decided to try a half size larger this time. After a year or so of wearing my second pair I noticed they felt a little tight across the toe area and when I was online to purchase these I noticed that Zappos recommends to order a half size larger. I'm glad I did, I like the way these new Star Bursts feel better than my old ones... I just can't figure out why it took me so long to notice they were tight. Maybe my foot grew? Also! Because these are canvas, they are great to throw in the washing machine for a freshen up.

I need some good city walking shoes that don't look orthotic, and these fit the bill. I have worn them several times and no break in time needed and my feet feel good at the end of the day.

This is my 3rd pair of these. They are so comfortable to wear when teaching all day. They look great with pants or a midi skirt. Highly recommend!

After trying numerous similar shoes, I found it discourging that none were comfortable until I tried Taos. Wow, the foot pad and arch support is what I had been looking for. Excellent shoe. I did find I needed a 1/2 size larger, and that was what was recommended.

These are super comfortable and cute for daily wear. They don't need any breaking in. My only complaint is that the footbed isn't very soft. It has excellent support and holds my foot in place but for more than daily wear (maybe long walks) I would consider something that is cushier.

I really like these shoes. I wore them on my trip to the Netherlands and everyone around complained that their feet really hurt. Not mine! Lol little time to break in. Good arch support. I own 3 pairs and all feel great

Sizing seemed right -- I typically just size up for flat shoes. I usually wear 6-6.5, and get 7 in athletic shoes. 7 in these worked great for me. They are very comfortable. They have arch support. They are not heavy. They look very nice with pants and dresses. I got them in white canvas, and it was a huge mistake. They do get dirty. I threw them in the wash and then dried outside under the sun, and while they stood up to that perfectly, the white canvas turned a bit yellow in places, just like it usually happens... So, if they were not white, they would be perfect for me! I'm not discouraging anyone from getting the white ones, but just know you'll have to be very careful with them - walking all day in a dusty city won't be good for the shoes.

This is my second pair. Unfortunately I had worn the first pair several times before I realized they were really too small and hurt my toes. I had ordered my usual size - 8.5. But I ordered again in size. 9. Much much better. I need Taos closed toe shoes a half size bigger than my regular size. I need Taos sandals smaller than my regular. Anyway, a great shoe once you get the right size. Stylish, supportive, comfortable.

These sneakers look a little "small" when you put them on. If you're very slim, they will look great, proportional. I find that as a tall, more "solidly built" woman, they make me look a bit like a Dr. Seuss character with an oversized body and teeny tiny feet. They are quite comfy though.

I have loved Taos from the first pair of Star! Now Star Burst has stepped up and they are just as comfortable. I can wear them 9 hours without my feet hurting. They are stiff at first but break in quickly. Well worth the price!!

I am so grateful to find these shoes! I have plantar faciitis with medium-high arches and struggle to find shoes with the right level of arch support for me. These shoes are it! I (perhaps unwisely) wore these untested shoes to work at the tail end of a plantar fasciitis flare, and I was able to wear them all day, including a 90 minute stint on my feet, with no pain. The toe box is also wider without being super wide and making my feel look huge. (Vain, I know, but I already can't wear shoes like others wear so at least I don't want my shoes to look clown-like.) I really needed some cute shoes I could wear that didn't just look like athletic shoes, and these have fit the bill. Feet are all super different, so what works for me certainly won't work for everyone, but for me these have been the first shoes outside running shoes that have been consistently comfortable for me in YEARS. Plus the price is totally reasonable. I'm going back to buy all the colors!

These shoes are just what I wanted. Love the style. I did go up 1/2 size and am glad I did. I haven’t done a long distance walk yet but the shoes are comfortable so far. Will purchase other colors.
