Ugh, was so disappointed I had to return these. Run small and are very narrow. I loved the color and look of the shoe, so was super bummed they didn't work out.

This wide version fits like every other regular width brand. What a shame.

The shoe itself is great - the issue is with the laces - never stay tied - I wear these shoes for an eight hour work shift and have to re- tie them at least twice an hour. Should not have to buy new shoes and immediately replace the laces.

Fit was true to size for length. Runs narrow though. Some heel slippage (I have narrow heels), but lacing through all holes helped. Pretty good traction on dirt trails.

I bought these to replace an old version of the same shoe. They have made the toe box much lower so although the size was correct, I could feel my toenails on my big toe hitting the top of the shoe. Very uncomfortable. Compared them to my old pair to figure out what the difference was since they were the same length. Had to return them.

Reviews seem to say Asics run smaller than expected, so I ordered 1/2 size up and they were too big. But I'm not reordering, because the width was disappointing. I ordered Wides and my toes were still squished together.

I bought the ASICS Gel Venture 7 as a back up to my ASICS Gel Kahana trail runners that I have loved for years, but are wearing out. I wish ASICS would bring back the Kahana trail running shoe. The Gel Venture 7 insole feels mushy, as if it's made from cheap foam; it does feel as solid or stable as the Kahana insole, which also is Gel. Out of the box, these Gel Venture 7's support was about the same as the Kahanas that I've owned for over 7 years. The outer sole does feel stable. Although I did keep these shoes, I have to say these are suitable for shopping and running errands or light activities. But for walking or running, there must be a better shoe out there that would provide a better insole, better support and cushion without feeling like a cheap foam.

Too narrow for my orthotics not enough support too squishy...

Way too wide. I have narrow feet, so not a big surprise, but these are also not very supportive. I need more stability for my flat, narrow feet. Too bad ASICS stopped making narrows. I’ll try the GT 2000s for now, as they feel more stable and less wide.

Didn't like these. Very narrow and tight with very little arch support. I typically where 8.5 and sometimes a 9 and always medium width. These were the smallest tightest 9M I've ever put on. Have to return.

I own a half dozen pairs of Asics Gel Venture5,6, and 7. I love this shoe style, fit, the interesting color combinations (especially the multi color/variegated shoe laces). The insole is easy to remove for the insertion of my OTC insole. These shoes never wear out. I purchased this shoe in the blue/pink combo which is absolutely gorgeous. I immediately noticed there is less structured stability in the heel, and around the laces. My foot seemed to get lost so I compared the Asics design from the Gel 6 to this Gel 7 and noticed there is a difference, as well as the material components seem to be inferior i.e. flimsy.

These did not work for me. I found them to be incredibly uncomfortable and too stiff for running on my elliptical machine. They are made like a trail runner, so if that’s what you need, these are right up your alley.

I have had many pairs of Asics in the past and never been disappointed UNTIL this pair. These were stiff, even the back upper heel was so stiff and the footbed surprisingly not that comfortable. Compared to all of my past years of Asics gels, these seemed cheaply made. Sorry to say this, but if this had been my first pair of Asics, I would never have bought from this company again. I am returning them.

Gel Venture 7 is much narrower than the Gen Venture 6 (even in the wide width). I've owned many pairs of Gel Venture 5s and 6s and am disappointed in this newest version. While a little lighter and much better looking than the 6, the 7 seems cheaply made. I've never had to do so many lacing adjustments to still end up with blisters and heel slipping (this was never a problem with the 6). Definite return.

I was disappointed in this shoe. I've heard good things about ASICS but it just felt like a cheap shoe I'd get from WalMart. The cushioning wasn't great, and the width was so narrow I couldn't get orthotics in the shoe at all. Just not my shoe, I know others like ASICs a lot.

This is my third pair of asics gel venture 7. I am very disappointed. My last pair is three years old and is made better than this new pair. Immediately on putting them on it was apparent that the laces were poor quality. My old pair had nice thick laces. This pair the laces are thin and I do not believe they will last. That being said they were comfortable until I got to the gym. Once getting on the treadmill and eliptical it was very evident there was no shock support. My old pair had more gel cushion than the brand new ones. This is very dissappointing as asics has been my go to sneakers for many years.

Third pair of these sneakers which each held up well, but this pair the sole is separating from the shoe already after 4 months of wear! Also not as much support as previous pairs.

wore through at the inside heel in 3 months. otherwise, good fit and support.

I liked the Gel Venture 6 a LOT, but this new version of it is awful. Really ugly for one thing, and there is so much "leather" decoration on it that it creates weird pressure points over the toe joint/bunion area, so it's painful for my wide feet. I will never understand all the decorative doodads on athletic shoes, and these have it to an extreme. They seem to have less toe room than the 6, too. Just not as comfortable as the 6, so they got sent back. I wish these shoe companies would remember that there are a lot of us "duckfooted" people who want and need performance shoes, and design them accordingly.

ASICS sizing is off; 8 too large 7 1/2 too small and much more narrow...

I have had three pairs of ASICS GEL-Venture. The quality has deteriorated and now I have to find another brand. I use Superfeet inserts but because the Venture 7 insoles were glued in, I cannot use a quality insert. The all-around comfort and quality that I usually enjoyed in ASICS is gone. These felt cheap.

Bottom of shoe felt very thin. I have worn Asics for about 30 years and I go through several pairs a year. This pair felt nothing like the others, not much padding between foot and ground. They look pretty and I wanted them to work, I kept trying them on but they are not like the rest. I will try Asics again, this is not their norm.
