This shoe felt a tad short. But it took a bit of walking with custom orthotics to really make them awesome walking shoes! I had hubby stretch the tip of the toes out a bit which is all it took to allow cushioned socks for winter warmth. I sprayed with water repellant and can do fine in the wet Oregon walks.

Size and fit seem true to size. They are comfortable but don't feel very sturdy. Have only worn them for a few walks so don't know how long they will last. I put in a new insole to help support the arches.

This is a good looking shoe.....nice colors. I use them primarily for Pickleball and the ASICS brand seems to work best as far as preventing foot problems. The Gel Venture 7 seemed a bit roomier in the toe box than others I’ve tried......too soon to tell if that’ll be a problem or not. The only issue I have had is that the big toe area wears through before the rest of the shoe on several of the ASICS I’ve tried. Hoping this one wears better.

Firm lateral support that I need for high arches. Most athletic shoes have abandonded support in favor of the barefoot running feel which I can't deal with. My only complaint, the laces are flimsy like dress shoes than the beefier laces found in athletic shoes or trail shoes. I'm replacing the laces to enjoy the supportive fit of the shoe. Replaces my Gel Venture 6 which lasted 2 years of daily use.

Seems comfortable enough and fairly supportive, but Toebox was not wide enough or tall enough, insole is not removable to allow my preferred inserts/arch support. I plan to order one size up to see if that helps.

I ordered the same size I get in all Asics shoes - lately have been the Gel-Venture trail series, and I feel like they were longer and narrower than the Gel-Venture 6 - which I don't like as much. And as reviewed across the board, it seems, there's less room for the top of the foot - which is also a bad direction for Asics. Not to the point of discomfort, but not ideal. And what I really don't like is these new super-thin laces, which are so hard to pull tight, it makes me icky every time I tie my shoes (my "nails on the chalkboard" is tight cotton fibers ripping). I think I'm going to replace the laces with the Gel-Venture 6 laces, if they fit in the holes. Overall, a fine shoe, which I would recommend, but I would urge Asics to stick to what you were doing well (this 7 version is not an improvement on the 6, it's a downgrade).

Not quite as much arch support as I'd like but comfortable over all. The sole is a bit stiff and hard, but I'm changing from a very soft and not very long-lasting sole. They click as I walk due to this but don't feel stiff as far as bend and movement. I appreciate that the laces aren't annoyingly over long.

I wanted to try Asics since they get good reviews. I ordered to pair to try a full size larger than my foot and in wide (my feet don't measure as wide either) to avoid aggravating a neuroma that I finally have under control. They were way to narrow and I had to return them. It's too bad because I loved the color and style. My search continues. I wish Zappos had a message board of some sort so I could ask other folks about wide shoes. I've tried so many.

Great shoe. I usually wear a 8 1/2 to 9. So went for the 9 wide and am very pleased. Not too big. Plenty of width, which I like. And with my plantar fasciitis, good support and cushioning. Got the grey. Did not want a loud color, but this is a bit too quiet. My bad. Would buy this style of shoe again.

I loved the feel of these shoes. Immediately after putting them on I could tell that they didn't hurt my feet. I ordered the Venture 7 because I've worn out my Venture 6 pair. I ordered my regular size of 8 1/2 Medium. In my Venture 6, I took out the inner sole and cut it to fit right up against my 3/4 custom orthotice. When I tried to put the cut insole from my Venture 6 and my orthotic in my Venture 7 shoes, they overlapped. The shoes were smaller than my Venture 6's. So I sent them back and ordered a size 9 but my heels rode up and down as I walked. I called in and talked to a very nice lady who was not much help...returning these.

I have a difficult time finding sneakers that my feet don't hurt in. I was very pleasantly surprised at the comfort these offer. I have a narrow heal and wide upper foot area. These fit perfect. These shoes fit great! I bought them specifically for trail running and they are tough yet comfortable with good support. The style is a bit funky (maroon version) but I picked it because I felt like it might actually hold up better and look nicer longer with all the exposure to dirt & mud etc. Very happy with this purchase!
