I walk 7 miles per day, 5 days per week. These shoes give me all the support I need and are very comfortable. My only concern are the laces. Very thin and flimsy. Don't expect them to last long, so I'm going to purchase laces that are more sturdy. Anxious to see how long the soles last. They always wear out before the rest of the shoe, but these soles appear to be very durable and should provide the stability and traction required on rough terrain.

Very comfortable shoes overall, the reason I mentioned above that they felt narrower than marked is because when I tie the laces I have about three fingers distance between the eyes, apparently two fingers distance is normal. Despite that the shoes actually feel very comfortable and I would definitely recommend them.

Great for hiking and rough terrain here in Utah. I wear them more for hiking than running. ACISCS were recommended for me after foot operation 6 years ago by my podiatrist and I have stayed with GEL-VENTURE.

I very much like the Gell Venture series...BUT!!! The shoelaces are cheap flat laces that are hard to pull through to tighten. They should be round or oval and substantial in quality like the shoe itself. Why do you cheapen a good pair of ASICS with these laces???

I like the Venture 7 shoes but not near as much as my Ventures 6 shoes. I had 4 different pairs of the 6's with no problems. The 7's are comfortable but do not seem as wide as the 6 even though both are 4E Wide.

Shoes performing well. Hope the toe box does not separate like last pair of Gel Venture 7's. I still own a paid of Asics 1000 series (over 7 years) and toe box is fine.

It may sound a minor point, but I've had these shoes before and hesitated to get them again because the previous pair had annoyingly thin shoe laces. On an average three mile hike they needed retying six to eight times. I took a chance with these and I'm happy to report that the laces are somewhat thicker and more substantial, and they stay tied longer. Why they went to cheap, thin shoe laces at all is a mystery.

With thicker socks on, the fit was snug. But with lighter socks on, the fit was fine. Plus, one of my feet is bigger than the other. Overall, a good fit. I did order the size I usually order also.
