These shoes are very comfortable, and supporting! I would recommend these to anyone that wants a comfortable shoe that has support. Made in the USA! Thank you New Balance for making these.

This is my second pair of 990s. First I had V4 and I just purchased V5. Both versions provide the stability and heel support that I need.

First starting wearing 990's over 10 years ago, on recommendation of a podiatrist. He wrote it down for me and I went straight to the local NB store. I am a senior woman with a wide foot due to bunionettes and walk 2-4 miles a day. I wear 2 E comfortably in this style. I tried other NB styles but none have the consistent fit as these. Besides being wide enough, they are very comfortable in the arch. I have put Super Feet in them at times when more support is needed. I do wish they would make them in a tan or khaki color. PLEASE! My local store closed permanently during the pandemic. I am very pleased with delivery and free return service ordering online from NB.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. I have bad, large feet, and comfortable shoes are hard to find for women. They are perfect for me, and I walk every day for exercise.

I try to take a walk every morning. These sneakers are comfy. Plenty of room for my long toes.

Been planning to get New Balance walking shoes and finally did it!! These shoes fit as expected and give me great arch support, which I need! Very happy with my purchase.

Very sturdy and comfy. it's more "cushioned" than my hiking shoes. I wear it walking around the city or do light hiking in the park. might get a little warm in the summer but would be perfect for other seasons and if you are looking for cushion and protection. True to size: for reference I got size 6 and have room for thicker socks, and I wear 6.5 in nike running shoes, 6 in training or other regular shoes.

These shoes are my all time favorite for comfort! I wish the website said the width of the shoes like the tag inside the tongue. I was confused by the tag saying "D" but my options to select were listed as Narrow, Normal, Wide, Extra Wide. Can you maybe add the letter to the icon to help reduce confusion for people who buy the same shoes over and over? Such as "Normal - D"

I have several pairs of these in men's and bought one for my partner for her first time and she LOVES them. Such a huge upgrade for all outdoor athletic activities.

I use these shoes for my walking exercise program. They provide stability for me and don't have the "mushy" feel of many running/walking shoes.

I accidently ordered the wrong size and had to do a return. NB made doing a return super easy. I appreciate everythig about this product and the folks who are the salesforce.

These shoes do need to be broken in. You put them on and walk on.

I needed a well made, supportive, comfortable, light, and long lasting court shoe for pickleball. Can't speak to the long lasting quality yet since they're brand new, but they seem to be very well made. And after playing at least a dozen games of pickleball in them I can verify the other great qualities of this shoe: I didn't have to break them in - just put them on and went straight to the courts, I haven't gotten any sore spots from them, they're light as air, my foot doesn't slam into the toe on sudden stops, they're good looking , and they're made in the USA ! So now that I've recovered from the sticker shock I'm really pleased and look forward to wearing them for many years of play.

I have an entrie wardrobe of NB990s in a rainbow of colors. This particular purchase was to replace my every day walking shoes. I do a two mile walk in my neighborhood every day and rely on my comfortable, suportive, and balance enhancing NB990s to carry me through months of good up and down hill effort. They are the best!

I wear a 5 1/2 2E - very hard to find this size. Construction is good, it is wide enough and very well made. Glad this is one of the few shoes still made in the USA.

This is a good shoe, like all New Balance shoes. It fits well and is comfortable. I went running in it right out of the box. Runs true to size. My only issue is the price. I don't mind paying this price, but it does not seem better than other New Balance shoes that are priced lower. I like to rotate a variety of shoes, so I intend to keep this one in my rotation.

This is my third pair of 990v5 shoes and I continue to love them. While they are costly, they are the most comfortable for my feet and they fit well with my orthotic insoles.
