Stability is best with these shoes. Always feel sure-footed when walking, for long distance and hiking.

The shoe fits perfectly. I purchased this for my mother. It was interesting though that the second New Balance shoe did not fit comfortably in the width, even though it was a DD width. I appreciate you crediting my account so quickly upon the return of the second pair. She is 95 years of age and it would have meant a one-hour trip to Indianapolis to search for a shoe with a comfortable fit. Kudos to you and your staff. We have never had negative issues with your site!!!

I have had this shoes before. They have good support And I like them.

Stabilizes foot and provides a very secure fit. Very comfortable and good arch support.

I use my own custom orthotic in this shoe which fits perfectly and gives me much better arch support. I have narrow feet and I walk some steep hills and this is the only shoe that fits me well and meets the terrain requirements. I've been wearing every version of the 990 since its inception.

The perfect shoe! I have so many foot problems: Insertional Achilles Tendonitis/Bursitis, Haglund's bump, Peroneal Tendonitis, Plantar Fasciitis. I've tried every athletic shoe and this is the best. I can now stand and walk without pain. I wear them all day and even bought a pair just to wear inside at home. They feel like slippers, so padded and comfortable inside, and with the support I need, especially around my ankles. I take out the insole and put in a Powerstep Pinnace Memory Foam insole with extra arch support. These are so stylish and trendy too! They go with everything! I started with the Grey/Castlerock, then added the Navy, then the Black. The Navy are beautiful and look great with jeans and khaki/tan colors. So glad these come in neutral colors that go with any outfit. Since I put a custom insole in, I ordered a 1/2 size up and Wide width. They're a little more expensive but they are high quality that lasts and provides excellent support. I consider this investment "foot health insurance".
