I recently had Achilles repair surgery so shoes are a huge deal for me right now while I fully recover. These shoes apart from stylish, at least by my perspective, are very comfortable! Heel to drop is perfect and they are cushiony while not feeling like marshmallows. Over all 10 out of 10

I tried several styles and I am biased toward this pair from both a design and fit perspective. I did have to go up a half-size after trying the first size I ordered, which was my usual shoe size of 7.5. The size 8 fits perfectly.

This is my first pair New Balances and I could not believe how comfortable they were! And they look so much better on foot. Super stylish and comfortable. They will not be my last pair.

Ordered these because of how viral they went for fall fashion. I love them and they will definitely be a staple in my wardrobe.. ***SIZING** I saw a lot of people say to size down by half a size, I am a very true size 6, and i ordered a 5 1/2, I ended up returning them for a size 6 which is perfect. I would say get your normal size. ;)

I've been wearing 990s for over 20 years. They're always comfy and give my feet great support. I do a lot of running and long walks, so I need shoes that are up to the challenge!

These are hands down the most comfortable sneakers that I've ever worn! Forcing myself to not wear them daily! I ordered women's 8 in standard & they fit perfectly! No need to upsize!

Wish there was more color selection; I would buy more

I have been eying this shoe and finally decided to go for it. The quality is great, is very comfortable. I'm on my feet all day and with this shoes my feet don't get as tired. It is worth it plus I always like to support USA made products.

Have plantar fasciitis and found these sneakers several years ago. I have a Boxer puppy with lots of energy and we hike trails and go on daily neighborhood walks. Wish they would come with 2nd set of insoles so I could get more time wearing them.

I used it to go shopping , to walk to my job. It is so comfortable . I love it . I recommend to buy it . I like new balance , I have like four of them . New balance is the best one . I am so happy.

Great product

I have lots of foot problems and these sneakers work well for my feet. Only problem is that because of how I walk, they don't last as long as I would like. I probably need some type of insert for cushioning.

My daughter wanted a pair but they were sold out everywhere in Philly. Was able to score a pair on the website

New Balance 990v5. Made in the USA (Thank You, New Balance! Please make more of your shoes in the USA!) Expensive, but with an additional insole, these sure help my metatarsalgia. I've had 6 or 8 pairs of these over the years and my feet still insist on them!

What more is there to say? I've had some issues-- two pairs developed holes in the fabric on the side of the shoe; no idea why. One recent pair seems to have lost its cushioning, but I wore these almost everyday all day since the start of the pandemic and have walked many miles. Just boiught new 990s, same size, same color etc. I'm not a fan of the politics of New Balance's leadership, but reviews of the company say the benefits are great and so is employee retention. I'm also glad that they are manufacturing good shoes and good jobs in the US. And, for stability, support, and comfort-- 990s have been great for me.

Bought these for my granddaughter and she loved them

I had ordered shoes online - and that was a mistake. I guessed at size - another mistake. Fortunately the New Balance folks at the Olive location helped me return shoes for a refund , measured my feet and sent me home with the right size shoe. So kind and professional!

So happy to have my footwear made in USA and feel great! More women's styles and colors please!
