Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

I wore 990s for years, but this version’s rock-hard sole trashed my foot and I ended up with inflammation that took months and a steroid injection to finally go away. I had to get rid of them and move on to another brand.

Very disappointed that the New Balance sneakers did not fit as they used to. They were "short" in the fit. Probably could reorder in the next 1/2 size but have no plans on doing so. Sorry to see that this product is no longer made in the USA and that is why I'm rating the sneaker poorly.

Perfect! I wish I could wear these with every outfit. Wait a minute! I can!!

They took a couple of walks to break in, but perform very well.

This shoe does have a nice wide toe box, moderate cushioning and arch support. A good walking shoe for my old feet!

These shoes are truly Awesome & live up to the expectations of New Balance excellence with my personal arch supports as I normally wear a size 9.5 but was fitted for a 10 which I therefore purchased with the addition of arch supports. Great addition to my collection!!:)

Great support and comfort

Ordered wrong shoe - wanted mens 8.5, received womens 8.5. Likely my error, as didn’t notice width difference.

This shoe was very comfortable and fit well. I have narrow, thin feet. These shoes were good with socks. I would buy this brand again.

Overall, an excellent shoe. It was just a little confining in the toe box.

I usually order 6.5 but ordered 6 thinking they would fit as that is the size I wear on regular shoes.

These are the best shoes I own. So comfortable and versatile.

This is probably pair # 10 or 12 for me of the New Balance 990. I wear orthotics, so in a dressy shoe without orthotics, I wear an 8 but in these I wear an 8.5 with my orthotic insert. I can't say enough about how great thee are. I only wish the women's shoes had more variety with the colors. Grey, dark grey, and navy, over and over. C'mon New Balance, give us ladies some choices. Meanwhile, I will still wear these forever. Podiatrist recommended them to me the first time - that was about 7 years ago, and now these are my only athletic and walking shoes. Absolutely the best.
