I use the product primarily for walking and everyday use. Very comfortable and adjust well.

I have worn many different athletic shoes. These 990v5's are the best I have ever worn. I am now on my third pair and I will probably wear them the rest of my life.

I walk over 4 MPH wearing these shoes. As I write this I have walked 1,213 miles (5/22/2021) so far this year. I could not do it without these shoes. They are designed for Running but I walk fast.

I keep buying these because the AA width is so comfortable. The heel is narrow but the toe box has plenty of room. There aren't any other shoes that come close. I've been buying the 990s for the past few versions. Version 5 is the best yet, with a wider toe box than before.

These are quite comfortable but the seem to run a little big. Size-down and you have a new dream pair of NBs!

My foot is size 13 with a B front width and an A or AA heel. And I wear orthotics. 990v5 and it's predecessors fit. I can find no other casual shoe that fits. And I've tried. This would be about my 24th pair, approximately 1/yr. Three concerns. My old uppers are just fine, and the soles are not seriously warn given my aged condition, but the softness of the underfoot construction turns hard after about a year's wearing. That's the only reason I have to buy new ones annually. Also, I'm old, retired, fixed income and try as I might I can't find a break in the price anywhere. I believe this shoe is made on the SL-1 last and you used to provide the last in the description, allowing us to try different models made on the same last. I'd like some variety.

I am a 59 year-old daily runner. Last summer, I ran 10 miles a day for three months, every day. I have been a serious runner since my early 20s. I've tried (seemingly) every running shoe during those early years. Once I found the New Balance 990 series (I lose track where they are now, 995?), I had settled on my running shoe for life. I don't know how long I've been running in New Balance, decades and decades. The difference in price of premium running shoes is nothing compared to the benefit of regular running in the 990 series New Balance. No, they're not paying me for this testimonial... although they should! I can't recommend a product more highly.

I was skeptical, even after a sneakerhead buddy of mine recco'd the 990. A buck eighty for NBs seemed pretty steep, even for American Made, but given the recco and the reviews (and having had a friend that worked for the company many years ago) I decided to buy and very glad I did! Super comfortable, and very, very well made. I was kinda on the fence with the style, but the blue color way is spot on. No idea on the long term durability yet, but given the materials I don't anticipate any issues. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as a daily wear option.

I have loved this series of shoe for several years. When I deviate and try something else I am always sorry.

990s are extremely comfortable and no need to break them in. Love the color way!

I have never bought shoes that were more comfortable right out of the box - no break-in is needed at all. Put them on and walk for miles with no issue. Easy to clean
