Upon receiving the shoes, the shoebox indicated 6E!!1 ISince my true sizeis 3X, I almost returned them. Then I tried them on---a perfect fit! I'm still confused about the 6E...
These shoes replaced a similar model. If I have any aissue, it is the shoe weight.
I suggest, when anyone places an order, try before returning.
The toe box and width is perfect!

I originally kept stalking the website for the Grey 993 US with no luck. Opted to try this one and I have no regrets. The cushioning is awesome and you can't go wrong with the grey color way. Extra light tan laces are a bonus too. Extremely comfortable - go for it!

I thought that my 933 were a great shoe and have 5 pairs of them. I decided to try out the 990 and will never regret it. These are a very comfortable shoe and fits my feet perfectly. Now I will be ordering these from now on.

Thank you Zappos for letting me try on 2 other brands of shoes before I made my decision on what to buy. I have had these New Balance 990v5's before. I wanted to see if the others could be better and found out they were not for me. They did not have the support that I need. I wear size 14 and I'm 6 ' 2" and weigh 215 and those shoes with all the foam are not for a person my size. My new 990v5's fit perfectly and feel great.

My Feet are very wide, and it's a miracle NB fills my needs, where the shoe industry history, really seemed to want to torture us down there, so whose needs got met that robot way? Mine, or the Vain-marketplace?

Im stage 4 brain cancer patient with diabetes/lyme . My feet are injured from the lyme & I need to walk to fight the diabetes & extend my life. The entire NB team worked with me on my 990v5 sneakers & not only did the NB team got me dialed in but I saw so much human compassion Thank you NB!
