Not being a big fan of 990's sneakers, but until today. Suede quality on "Blacks w/silver" is outstanding. Wide option is NB advantage. Overall rating - 7 / 5.

I have been wearing new balance for years with orthotics. I purchased a pair of the 990v5 and what a difference, i have been in them for almost two weeks with out the orthotics and feeling a great difference in my feet. Im going to go one more week just to be sure my feet continue to feel happy and i will be back for another pair. and some spare insoles if they have them.

I've been wearing these shoes for years. Just wish they came in some different colors. Tired of the "grumpy grey", "boring blue" and "blah black". Come on New Balance let's have some new colors, you come out with new versions in the same old colors all the time why not a new version in some new colors for a change. Love the American made and have been willing to pay for it. Shoes from 5-10 years ago shouldn't match the new version in the same tired colors.

If you want a super comfortable yet strongly supportive and well made sneaker, this is it.

How does NB keep missing the opportunity to sell more shoes??? The 990 is one of the very best running shoes on the market but the color selection probably reduces potential sales by half. NB: Take a lesson from all the 993/992 collaborations and offer the 990 in the 993 dtlr and 992 fy7 color schemes, you would sell sooo many more shoes!

I have worn 990's for many years, but always been sad that in my size (Size 14 narrow) they only came in gray. So I was delighted to find that now I could get a pair in blue! I have hard to fit feet, but New Balance 990's have always fit the bill, with good comfort and excellent support.

New Balance,NB, makes the most comfortable sneakers available. I've bought many trendy and new styles on a whim and yes they are cool for a moment but in the end NB is just as, if not more trendy, and treat my feet the best. I have several pairs of NB that are 10+ years old and still holding up. Other brands fall apart after only a few years. Quality counts!

Great product...third pair of this model I have bought. Will probably buy again in the future. Wears well...and holds up well.

I have had the older Pair. This new ones have a better style and are alot more comfortable.

The NB 99* sneakers, which I've used for 15 years, are like custom shoes for me. I think they co$t but WORTH it!

These are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They are sturdy but comfortable, and I'll be hard pressed to find another shoe that I'll use for daily wear. Sizing was true to size for me, slightly larger than the popular 574 but not by much.

Comfortable sneakers look good and feel good to have them you will love them

Good to find running shoes that are still made in America.

My husband loves them! His feet feel so much better. The bad foot doesn't turn like it did when he wears regular sneakers.

I need shoes with a wide and accommodating toe box. The 990v5 does the job. I can comfortably wear the 4E size. I wish I could say the same about all NB shoes that claim to be 4E; I've tried and returned many, but the 990 series has always fit. They're pricey, but they are comfortable, well made shoes that usually last a reasonable amount of time.

I've been wearing their high end shoe for over 10 years. Wear it every day. I'm 6'9" tall and weigh 210 pounds. There are many other shoes with name brands that advertise comfort, support and proper fit. I've tried them all but none like the New Balance shoes made in USA. Having been very active all my life, am certain these shoes offer the best opportunity to provide satisfaction. Currently wearing the 990v5 for over a year and literally every day. The support holds as well as the wear of the shoe remains excellent. Honestly do not believe there i a better shoe made for someone particularly my size and weight

There are a lot of brands that promote support and comfort and through the years I've tried many of them but the now 990v5 is better than ever but the shoe made in the USA is second to none. I'm 6'9" and weigh 210 and the support and comfort of their high end shoe is worth every penny. Its easy to get sucked in by Nike or addidas etc. but it's a waste of time and money. I've now been wearing these shoes for over 10 years and literally every day and am in my 70's. It has made a world of difference in my back etc which has taken a pounding over the years. Honestly for someone my size the shoe is the perfect match.

Very comfortable so far. Very nice looking. Wish they would wait about six months before they want a review, it would be much more accurate.
