Purchased these for my Nephew. They came in time, in great condition and he loves them!

When I went to the Manhattan Fifth Avenue location, my shoe choice was unavailable but fortunately the sales person who worked with me put an order for me. I was very grateful.

Bought them because they fit, they're still made in USA

My only issue was that I should have ordered the narrow width, for my narrow foot. But a basic odor eater insole under the factory insole fixed it perfectly. No comparison in terms of quality for similar price point shoes in other brands. Classic show you can't go wrong with, and supporting American jobs.

I am a 25-year New balance customer, the 990 V5 is good ! But I prefer the 990 V4 ( it seems to have more cushioning!).

The sneaker is comfortable, true to size with great support. Whether you're a sneaker head or an athlete these fit the bill!

Daily walk/run 8-10 miles, primarily on paved surfaces. Comfort and serious durability!

Nice feel, comfortable, nice room in the toe box, nice support in the arch and foot. Little more bounce then V4 grey oringals, but V4 wins in looks.

I was hoping for a shoe more like the 928 v3, except in black. I could find that so I tried these but they are a little narrower in the toe. Length is fine. Due to health reasons that doesn't work for me.

Very happy with my purchase. The shoes were recommended by my trainer. The quality is good and they are very supportive.

I have a wide foot and NB is one of the few brands that carry some wide models that are comfortable and look good. I have 3 pairs and use them every day.

Fits well however the tongue keeps slipping down into the shoe as the day goes on. The tongue usually has a built in "loop" for the shoe lace to go through but this shoe does not so the tongue slides down when wearing.

I do casual walking. Wear to church and shopping and sightseeing.

New balance is the only company that makes a athletic shoe in ew width. The 990v5 is an excellent tennis shoe , great support, good arch support and most importantly it's wide for Fred Flintstone feet. Please don't change NB there's a lot of fat feet out there that need your support :)

Lve These sneakers. They are the only sneakers I can wear that give great support and I can walk for miles in and don't hurt my feet. Great job New Balance!

I use this shoe to get me to work and to take me home. When I'm at work I'm doing about maybe 8 to 10000 steps a -day. Then I wear comfy workboots, like I always have for 20- plus years. When I have the 990v5 on I didn't really feel that overwhelming sense of arch support that I really crave. So I try to tie the shoes on again a little firmer a little more correctly. I feel well wrapped in the shoe, it is very light, but that is isn't the draw for me. I am after a comfortable and supportive shoe. Sometimes my arch would ache. That's scary. After retying my shoes, it felt better. I usually wear a 608 and reef sandals at home w/ arch support. The 990v5 sneakers don't hurt now. They just feel lighter than what I am used to wearing. I will place an order for a 624 shoe in a day or 2. This 990v5 is not a bad shoe. I need to get used to it, I think. I'll keep trying.

I used to feel sore and achy especially after workouts, but since I have worn these shoes thats gotten much better.

I've been wearing the 990's for over 20 years and the version 5 is the best. They have a lot of structure and several widths to choose from.
