The shoe was very difficult to lace up! Also very heavy. I am returning the order.

These were awesome. Struggling to find shoes that fit, went back to New Balance. Was worried they might look like Dad Shoes but they look great.

These are always nice shoes and fit well. They are especially good as I have a large bunion, which is being removed. I anticipate the toe box to be very comfortable after I heal. Thing I hate are the toooo long laces New Balance used.

These are the best shoes I have ever worn. The model number of the shoes have changed through the years, but they still have remained very comfortable with great support. I have tried other shoes, some even made by New Balance, but nothing compares.

American made ones are best in that whatever size it says it is-That's what you get!

Well, I literally have lost count as to how many 990's I have bought, since NB came out with them. I have really funky feet, with a bunion, and these are the ONLY shoes I can wear painless outside of the box.

This is my husband’s go-to sneaker. We’ve been buying it for probably 20 years. Great product, durable despite hard wear. We don’t live in the U.S., so good to have a sure fit on this shoe.

I have purchased these shows repeatedly over the years. They never disappoint and last a long time.

These are amongst the most all day comfortable shoes I have worn. I would describe the fit as roomier; they do fit about a half size large, so recommend sizing down. I have wide and high insteep feet, the wides fit well. Would highly recommend.

Best athletic shoes I've owned in years. Worth every penny.

Great comfortable shoes

When I first ordered these shoes I had read online that the shoes ran small compared to Nikes, so I ordered a size smaller. When I received the shoes they were a little tight so I felt I had to return them. I wanted to exchange them for a slightly larger size and I was unsure how to go about this. I had always heard great things about Zappos customer service, but had never experienced it. The service I received exceeded my expectations as I was connected with someone over the phone almost immediately, they were extremely knowledgeable in Zappos products and policies for exchange, and they had a very positive attitude throughout the interaction. I greatly appreciated how easy they made the process and I feel great wearing these shoes knowing that I can rely on Zappos in the future for another pair of shoes or any customer service need.

Normally I get 9.5. This time I got 9 for a perfect fit.

This model was about 1/2 size too large length.

It's a great product, but it's very expensive.

I have been wearing 993s pretty much since they came out. 993s are hard to come by now, however, especially in colors other than grey. So I decided to try the 990v5. In my opinion the only advantage of the 990v5 over the 993 is that they weigh less. For my foot they feel a little tighter. Also my 990v5s squeak with every step. I also don't like two things about the tongue. First, the little slot in the attachment on the tongue through which I have usually put the laces, to help keep the tongue centered, does not line up with the position of the laces. So the function of that slot has effectively been removed due to the choice of where to position it. Second, there is a stiff American flag logo right where the laces tie. I've never had a shoe with a stiff piece like that where the laces tie, and I don't like it on these shoes. New Balance - please step up production of the 993s.

This is my 3rd pair - I have a very wide toe box and these fit perfectly!

Finally shoes that didn't have to be returned! He is walking comfortably!!! Yeah!

SQUEAK, SQUEAK, SQUEAK… First, I love New Balance. I’ve worn many models of 990’s but the soles in these 990v5 are defective. They squeak. AND NO, It’s not the insoles. There’s no fix like using talc. It’s a loud horrendous sound just flexing the sole of the shoe. VERY DISAPPOINTED
