Having owned many NB shoes, I have been totally surprised and disappointed that the bottoms of my feet are getting bruised from walking in these shoes. I have added another insole which helps, but I should not have this kind of a problem with this higher quality shoe.

The blue pairs aren't as supportive as the black. The black has more support in the front and more toe box width. The blue pairs are wider in the heel.

Purchased same size as normal, this pair feels smaller and narrower.

Over a month ago, there is a hole in the mesh on top of the shoe above the big toe

Not enough room in the toe area. I tried wearing them for days, but my toes ached badly. I had to return them.

The top mesh is delicate for this type of shoe. My toe has worn through the top mesh.

I have been a runner/walker for decades. Wore new balance 20 to 30 years ago, liked them, don’t know why I even changed, but I did. I am not naïve, I understand some shoes fit some people better than others. I like to rotate my shoes and have two different brands that I walk/run in to avoid stress injuries. I bought a pair of these and within two or three days my foot hurt terribly. Thought it was a coincidence. I literally had to come out of walking and running for multiple weeks. Went back to just a cheap pair of cushioned Nikes to start walking again. Thought I was just being stupid. Put back on the new balances when I was well healed up, and just walked 2 miles and my foot started hurting again. That is OK, not every shoe is perfect for everybody. My problem is, I Have a hard time thinking that 2600 people thought these shoes were perfect and they are 5 star rated. I’ve never wrote a review before of all my shoes from Zappos (would guess 30-50 running, casual, dress shoes), But I can’t say I understand why I am the only one who’s foot did not work with this shoe. In turn, how do you use a rating system to help decide what shoes would fit you best?

I am really disappointed in this shoe for the price I paid. It does not have a place for the shoe string in the tongue thus allowing the tongue to slip down making the shoe very uncomfortable. The shoe strings that come with the shoe are the cheap white ones not the sport heavy duty laces. I ordered the extra wide width and that still feels narrow. Over all I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this shoe. Especially with the $189 price tag!!!

Shoe was "too dominant" strong macho look.....looking for some thing more 'blending".

Mostly good in terms of fit and comfort. But - even after 2 weeks of consistent wearing... they have a very loud squeak when I walk in them. It's really bad. Might have to return them just because of that. For $200 shoes they shouldn't be squeaking. This is my second pair and the first ones never squeaked. It's the weirdest thing and beyond frustrating and loud. They squeak in the house (hardwood floors mostly but also some rugs) and outside on all surfaces.

Nice shoe but narrower than the New Balance 993 model. Had to be returned.

The tongue was sewn in slightly crooked and the shoe laces are inferior quality, they won’t stay tied..I have to double knot them

After reading other reviews about how comfortable these shoes are... I thought I would give them a try. After walking around, in the shoes, for 5 minutes... I knew these shoes are not for me. For the price point, the shoes are not nearly as comfortable as other shoes I've owned at half the price. They felt very stiff and the quality of the materials really did not seem to match the price point. Sending them back today...

This shoe is very well made. But it is the heaviest running shoe I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned work shoes that were lighter weight. I really should have returned them.
