Great shoe that accommodates wide foot and orthotic use. Especially like wide, deep toe box. Price keeps going up but guess that's what you have to pay for happy feet!

These 990s are light and offer good cushioning for walking. I have not found a shoe anywhere that offers arch support. I keep looking but would buy this shoe again.

These shoes I've been informed are for lifestyle, not treadmill running. In my most recent experience, the rubber crumbles off when running on a treadmill. Otherwise lovely shoes

This shoe is very comfortable, has a great fit, is sufficiently flexible for walking, adapts to folks with sensitive/problematic feet! Excellent. However, after having bought several pairs of this shoe, the shoe's soft top causes me to get a hole in the top of the shoe in about six months, which limits its use, while the rest of the shoe is in great shape and could be used for longer time. Other than the unwanted hole, which occurs faster than any other shoe I have ever worn,, the shoe is great.

Out of all the new balance sneakers I've bought over the years, this is the most expensive pair that I have purchased but has the cheapest laces.
Overall they are a good fit as usual and I am happy with the sneakers.

I love these kicks very comfortable for walking and running long distances. I put my special orthotic insoles feel like I'm walking on air especially in the streets of NYC. Highly recommend if your an active runner or walk around a lot in the city.

This is a fabulous shoe. I usually get 3-4 months of excellent wear and that's a lot because I wear them for everything. However, NB doesn't have the all black shoe I wanted. Glad to have the gray though.

New Balance is the only sports shoe I can wear comfortably because I have a very wide foot.

This may be a running show, but I use this as my daily driver. Casual, but stylish. Goes with most daily wear. My only gripe is the lack of a loop on the tongue to prevent the tongue from constantly moving to the side. How does this not have one?? Pricey shoe, but I would consider a new pair with a discount.

I usually buy NB 928's which are very similar to these, but are imported and cost about $40.00 less. I have not worn these NB 990's long enough to give an accurate review. I need to replace the insoles, as these offer no support. If you have good normal feet, the insoles may be fine for you. For an American made product costing close to $200.00 they should supply a decent pair of laces, instead they give you a cheap pair of white laces that are too long for the shoes. The NB 928's come with a very nice pair of color coded correct length laces. I'll update this review when I can give an accurate review on comfort and wear of the NB 990's.

I am age 76. I have very narrow feet. An N width does not always work. This is an X-N. I still added another insert to get enough arch support for my old feet. This is a nice shoe. After lacing it all the way up and tying it, I can slip it off and back on with a shoe horn. I like that.
