please don't drop on quality on these shoes! fits so perfectly!

I've used this shoe (or a prior version) ever since I got into running. Since it is the only one that comes in a 2A width I'll keep using it as well. It's almost worth the price.

I've had about a dozen pairs of these over the years and I love them!

Aside from the Tongue details the new 990's have a flag on it I've always liked the tongue details on the models before v4 but overall very happy

Purchased these to replace 508's hoping for similar performance. I am pleasantly pleased. Fit and comfort are good. Less of an old man look.

In March my go to work shoes unfortunately got torn up as I was working, so as soon as my shift ended I walked over to the New Balance outlet store to find some shoes without holes. I asked whats a good shoe for walking about 6-8 miles everyday for long periods of time and was recommended this. But after 7-8 months of wearing them at work everyday they're really not built for strenuous jobs. Two months ago my plantar fasciitis came back after a year and a half of no problems. I'm trying out different insoles to see if they will help as I'd hate to toss these expensive shoes after not even a year of wearing them. I think if you don't work 50+ hours a week running around then these might work for you!

These sneakers are extremely comfortable and the fit is just right for my wide feet. I am definitely gonna get a second pair!

The shorter tongue is more comfortable for everyday use.

AS one with narrow feet, New Balance offers a much better fit with their sizing. This shoe fits great, good support and nice cushioning. Clearly in a class by itself.

I bought these to replace a worn-out pair of the same kind. They fit perfectly.

Very comfortable sneakers and can be used for everyday wear

I have bilateral plantar fasciitis. I've tried many different shoes and they're ok. I always come back to this particular designer because I have no pain! They last a long time too! I'm up and down on my feet 10 plus hours a day. No fatigue at the end of the day! I can highly recommend these shoes. NB 990 for life!!

Very comfortable- just expensive shoes but worth it

The shoes are comfortable and fit well. This is my third pair.

I have been wearing the 990 series shoe for decades. It has good support, however could use a better cushioned insert. Recently purchased the 990v5 and it parallels the prior 990 series. Now if New Balance would only bring back the "military green" color or a similar tan/brown color.

My husband started complaining about his feet hurting everyday. We were told that New Balance makes some good shoes after some research we ordered the 990v5. Wow he loves them so glad also made in the USA

I bought my first pair of the 990 series in July and was amazed at how my feet and legs do not hurt anymore at the end of the day. I usually only get six months out of a pair of trainers but I think these are going to last longer. The first pair still isn't showing any sign of wear on the soles. This is my second pair so I can rotate them.

I don't like the v5 prefer the v4. Too much room in front now and don't like the plastic ankle strap which makes the shoe hotter.

Has always been the BEST tennis shoe for support and cushion. Well made and one of the few with widths. Used to be my run training shoe. Now have one pair for every day, one for pickleball and tennis, one for yard work. Now my wife loves her first pair. We are both in our 70's.

Call it fit or comfort, US-990-v5 got it. I wear a size 13 shoe in a narrow width, and A or B width shoes are very hard to find, especially sport shoes. NB makes these shoes in "narrow" and sized up to 13. Perfect fit and I have been buying at least one pair a year the last 10 years, and maybe longer ago than that. Simply put, nothing's better than NB for sport shoes.

Absolutely everything is great about this shoe. Definitely an outstanding shoe.
