This bag is awesome! Added to our other one for travel purposes, this bag will be a favorite for years to come. We know, because we own one of Timbuk2's early bags from 15 years ago. It's been used everyday, been washed in the machine, and still looks perfect! Do not hesitate to make a purchase for quality and excellent customer service!

Perfect work bag that can carry my laptop and lunch but also be a cute over the shoulder purse when carrying a lighter load. Love the stylish gold hardware to make me feel like it's a cute backpack. Usually one has to choose between style or quality but I feel like I get both in this bag.

I use this bag for all my work things and it keeps everything organized and the adjustable straps make it super convenient! It's very beautiful and I love the army green color! The only comment is that the zippers were very stiff at first but have gotten better after a week of use.

It is stylish and sleek. Not bulky at all. I LOVE the color. It holds everything I need. However, I do wish it had a water bottle holder.

Great sleek bag that has just enough sleeves and compartments to bring all of the essentials to work. Would have been nice to have a water bottle sleeve on the outside of bag to make it easier to access but the bag is perfectly functional for the rainy pnw weather!

This is the second backpack I have bought from Timbuk2 and I really like everything about it. I tend to carry quite a bit of stuff and this backpack makes it easy to have it all in one place. With easy access pockets and the option of it being a tote or backpack; it is most versatile and very easy to clean. I highly recommend Timbuk 2 for any of their goods!

I traveled with this tote over the weekend. It was perfect. Fit under the airline seat with ease (and it was packed). Backpack functions well. I would def recommend this product.

This bag is terrific...it is light, but holds so much. Perfect for a work trip - holds a laptop, files, wallet and so much more. Can easily be a tote or a backpack.

This is the bag I've always needed but could not find. I'm in a line of work that requires me to carry a lot of large and long documents (up to 11x17), and this bag not only fits them but secures them with a zipper at the top. Because the material is light (as opposed to leather), and because it can be worn as a backpack, it doesn't stress one shoulder over the other. I've only had it for a few weeks, but I would imagine (hope) this material, esp. the handles, are more durable than leather and the dainty handles that tend to come with designer handbags and totes. I also travel for work often, and this is a bag I would not worry about all the rough treatment it would get from that. The olive color is dark - a nice alternative for someone who doesn't want all black all the time or wears more brown than black. Last but not least, I appreciate the classiness of the tote design as opposed to the masculinity of a briefcase, technicality of a computer bag or the outdoorsy-ness of a backpack. The only minus is that it does not have a lot of room front-to-back, so you can't stuff it with shoes, bulky clothes, etc. It is definitely limited to work/school usage, and not a weekender, but that's OK for my purposes.

I have gone through many different backpacks (name brand and offbrand) and had not found a good everyday bag until this one. It goes with everything, has a lot of room without being chunky, converts into a tote, and has very functional design elements (long neon key clip!). I love how practical and high-quality it is, for such a great price.

I am not a backpack person but they are convenient for traveling and going around so I have been looking for the perfect backpack for me for a long time and finally found it!! This backpack is very flexible, spacious and versatile! Love it love it!

This is an awesome work bag, it looks great, it is the perfect size, holds a clipboard, laptop and it is long enough for me to put rolls of drawings in without flopping over. The backpack straps are close together at the top so they are comfortable and don't fall off my shoulders which is an issue I have with other backpacks. There are a couple of small improvements which would make this the absolutely perfect bag (but as-is, it comes very close to being perfect) - one would be an interior sleeve for a water bottle since there isn't an exterior pocket for this, and it would be great to have a way of putting a bottle inside without it tipping over. Also, the interior zip pocket and the non zip pockets are very teeny, not sure what would fit into the pockets, maybe some business cards. It would be great if these interior pockets were just a few inches bigger. Overall an absolutely awesome bag!!

I commute on public transportation from the suburbs to downtown every day in a fairly large midwestern city. We have bad weather here from October to March or April. This bag has made it so much easier- compartments but not to many. Hard rain, Downpour, no worries, my electronics stay dry, it's either waterproof or very close I love every color, I got green.

I'm very picky and specific when it comes to purchasing things. I favor quality over quantity, style and functionality over trends and fast fashion. I wanted and needed a bag that is simple, high quality, stylish and functional that is made ethically and sustainably. Tall order right? For some random reason I thought of Timbuk2. Even though I've known about the company for a while, I never thought to make a purchase until this bag and let me tell you, it exceeded ALL of my expectations! I got the jet black with gold hardware bc it's classy and more polished. I'm totally fine with the interior and the compartments inside; I don't need much more than what it has. I also hope they don't add a pocket for a water bottle outside bc that would cheapen the look of the bag and make it look less streamlined and dowdy. I've been using it for a week now and I find it to be comfortable on my shoulders and back. The key is to adjust the straps so the pack sits on top of your hips and not below. And then you can wrap the strap and make a knot (see attached photo) so that it's not dangling. This bag is great for every day use as well as a day pack for travels. It's lightweight and packable so you can easily pack it in your carryon. I love how it's a tote and backpack in one! Talk about versatility. Please don't stop making this bag - ever!

As a tote to go to and from my job a nurse in the hospital- fits scrubs, lunch, iPad and more. Never disappointed

I had been looking for a convertible backpack/tote for months and finally settled on this one. It is smaller than I was originally looking for (depth-wise), but it is roomy and keeps me from overpacking it. The only thing I would change is that I wish it had a sturdy, flat bottom so it would stand up. That said, I am really happy with my purchase!

We got new laptops at work but no bag to protect it. I found this bag and fell in love with the style and ability to keep the new laptop safe. It holds the essentials from my purse, the laptop and my lunch each day. Keeps things dry in the rain, small things stay organized and it is comfortable worn as a backpack or carried as a shoulder bag. Works well biking too!

I searched for the perfect backpack for months, purchased several and couldn't find one that had style and function. This one is it! It looks great, has plenty of room for everything I need and the perfect number of pockets.

I'm retired Gma, well sort of ... I have 11 grandchildren and we are always on the go, so it's a great bag to grab and pack necessities for the day. I bought this backpack because of the ability to switch from backpack to shoulder bag and also it matched my previously purchase of a small toiletries bag I bought from Timbuk2 earlier this year. I can't recommend this bag or any products from this company enough, they are beautiful and the quality is amazing!! I've purchased 4 products so far and won't ever buy any type of packing products from anyone else ever again!
