Debated 2-wheel vs 4-wheel model, stuck with 2-wheel, but after dragging behind me on plane, believe 4-wheel is better option to push in front & have more control. 2-wheel has a bit more space, but no bottom handle to facilitate lifting to overhead bin. Travelpro has been my "go to" for years. The rubber on wheels of my previous Rollaboard wore out & it was too old to replace, so donated to Family Violence shelter & purchased new one. 2023 model weighs less than previous model; expect it to last for years!

We purchased medium check in and carry on in September. Day of trip Sept 28 th, I packed carry on and tried zipping expansion zipper and it jammed on inside fabric. Unable to free zipper. How do I go about fixing the problem?

I have not traveled with this yet, but looking at it, it is fine. I do think the 10 year old one I had was a bit sturdier, but this is lighter. I loved my old one, but the rubber came off the wheels and Tavelpro had no replacements. Other than the wheels it was in great condition. I hope this one does as well.

I have not used it yet but plan on a 4-day trip next month which I will be using it for. My wife has an older model that has worked well.

Nice looking luggage. The color blue is beautiful. I won't know until I use it for a trip to Ireland in late September about the ease of packing and durability.

Does the job- the exterior material doesn't seem durable, we'll see. I like the plain interior. Don't like the curved handle on pull bar- doesn't seem ergonomic, takes up extra space.

My wife has a travel pro carry-on for 12 years. It is in great shape and holds a lot. I ordered the biggest bag that can be carried on, but it was smaller than my wife's so I sent it back. The bag sent to me seem to be of good quality, but I need every inch of space I can get due to having very large feet. Travelpro was great about facilitating a return. Classy just a bit small for me. I'll definitely get Travelpro for my next checked bag when I need it

I gave my 22 inch carry on only 4 stars because I have not traveled with it yet. I had a Richard of Beverly Hills carry on for 23 years and, it held up for over 20 over seas trips. I always went on 21 day vacations with it. The zipper broke and I had to cut it open and that's why I have a Travel Pro now. The suitcase looks like it will fit just as much as my old suitcase. Excited to use it this year for a month in Europe.

I've already done this twice and sent it in. I have not yet used my suitcase. I'll know more then.

This is the second Maxlite 5 22 carry on expandable rollaboard that I purchased.
Both had the zippers put in backwards on the lining, both had no zipper pull.
Is this the way it is supposed to be?
I think it makes it difficult to use the zipper. Having that compartment is one of the features I liked about the item, but it is a defect to have the zipper put in backwards and it doesn't have a pull to grip while using it.
I want to purchase the Maxlite 5 soft tote, but I'm unsure if I want to keep the 22" carry on with the faulty zipper.
It would be nice to have a matching set.

The functionality of the bag is great. I just wish it was a little more stylish - I know its hard to make suitcase fabric stylish and its hard to make something solid, functional, stylish AND affordable, but I do have some suitcase envy when I look around the airport. But it's a solid bag that fit well into an overhead and I would recommend it to others.

Nicely constructed. I went for maximum volume and sacrificed the spinner wheels. It fit in overhead bins on one side of airplane but not the other. Used for 2 weeks in Italy. Wish it had better color choices.

Seems like it's well mad, durable, and a good size. I'll have my first try with it in about a month!

Superior quality, durable, light and perfect for carry-on. Design is decent, but wish it had 4 wheels versus two for easier options for transporting, other pulling behind while walking.

Love this suitcase and it will hold at least 4-5 days of clothing. What I don't love is the smell. I have left it outside in the sun for days and used baking soda. There is still an awful chemical smell weeks after I bought it. I honestly don't want my clothes to smell like this on my upcoming trip.
Travelpro, why does your product have this smell? Is it safe? How do I get it out?

Great bag, but the top interior portion would be so much more useful 2 inches deeper......as one of your earlier bags used to be.

Light weight. Would prefer zip out portion encompassed the entire side of case. Handle grip could be a bit larger to feel comfortable in hand. Rolls nicely. Hope it is durable.

Love the lightness. I do wish it was a bit bigger and that it came with an attachable hook in the front. Overall, very pleased.

For the low weight (which had much to do with my decision), this luggage seems well built and sturdy. I like the grayish green color as well. I would make a few recommendations to make this piece better although it may raise the price a bit as well.
1. The smallest front pocket is very difficult to access especially once the bag is packed. I can barely get my hand in it and you definitely can't look in to see what's there. It's borderline useless as a pocket to use frequently.
2. I'm waiting for a luggage company to make a carry-on that is designed for how they are used by 90% of the people. And that is, design them so a bag that is resting on the top is better balanced. Many don't have those straps that go around the bars and the handle on the top of the bag causes anything that is put on top to fall forward unless you are pulling the carry on. A recessed handle or slightly sloping top might do the trick.
3. It would be nice to see just a touch more protection for the underside of the bag near the wheels. There's one rubber or plastic strip/bar and two would probably to the trick.
4. Also, I would scrap the interior lid panel mesh material. Mine has already torn after one trip and I have no idea what caused it. I don't need to see what's behind the panel and to be honest a couple smaller zippered pouches would likely be more practical for the items one would use this area for.
Would I buy it again? Yes, most likely. It's a bit pricey and plain-styled but I think it is a good, low-weight and roomy option for a carry on these days.

Just what i was looking for. Like the pockets. a smaller outside pocket for keys, earplugs, etc would make it even better.

Good size and weight; for a week long trip, a little tight on space. Quality is good.

So far so good. Light and expandable.
Too short to say anything on the robustness. The color is great. I wish the larger models would exist in the same color purple and pink.

I purchased three matching pieces from this set. Overall, I appreciate the consistently reliable TravelPro quality of materials and construction. However, my favorite color is pink, and I thought this set (Dusty Rose) would get me there with a shade of pink resistant to dirt. Well, the color is frankly a total disappointment - I can't call it "pink" or even "rose" (dusty or otherwise) when I look at it, in *any* lighting context. It's maybe grey or washed out lavender, LOL??
