My feet never hurt when I wear these and I'm on my feet a lot!

LOVE these shoes. I bought these to go hiking in Switzerland because I needed something with better traction than running shoes. I wear Brooks Ghost everyday all day so my feet are not typically fans of a new type of shoe. These are comfortable out of the box. They have the same drop at the Ghost. Hiked all over Zermatt on trails that were wet, dusty, gravel, boulder, mud, etc. I did not slip or loose my footing a single time! Highly recommend. Bought my husband the same pair in men's. He loved them as well. I tried multiple pairs of brands and Salomon styles. This was the one Salomon style that did not come up too high on my ankle and rub it.

I LOVE these shoes for hiking. They have excellent traction, they're easy to get in and out of, and they have awesome colors. I have 3 pairs (though two are pretty worn out from years of mountain hiking). I'm going to be bummed if they stop making them!

I adore these shoes! Most comfortable, supportive, versatile and durable shoes I've owned. I run on mixed terrain trails 3x per week, use them for hiking, and sometimes just casually.

I own three pairs of these now and hope you never stop making them. I trail run/hike on rough terrain that includes uneven rock, mud, hills, and stream crossings 4-7 days a week. Out of the box these shoes fit my feet. The toe box is wide enough that the ball of my foot isn't cramped, and the heel fits both in width and depth. Previous hiking sneakers I owned the heels were too deep, so the heel came up too high and the shoes rubbed and wore through on the inside. They provide plenty of support but you can feel the trail beneath your feet, and the soles are grippy even on wet rock and roots. I am excited to buy the Gore Tex version, as I currently have to trade off between two pairs as these get soaked on most of my outings and need a day to dry. Thank you for a great shoe!

I purchased the speed cross 5 about a month ago. Let me tell you, these shoes are the most comfortable runners I've ever had. They feel like a cradle for your feet! The impact absorption is epic, I can run miles more than I used to without knee / ankle pain! I'm in the process of replacing all my shoes with Salomon's!

I have worn the Speedcross model for over 18 years. They have helped me summit Kilimanjaro, Mt. Whitney and Base Camp of Mt. Everest. I love this shoe, but lately I have disappointed in the color options for women. Seems men get the better options of vibrant colors, while women get drab colors. I hope Salomon take note of this and develop some bright fun colors for women, as I need some new speedcross shoes.

This is my second pair of Salomon shoes. The are the most comfortable multi-purpose shoes that exist. When one pair expires I'll always get another one. The previous pair lasted for two years of near constant use. I can definitely recommend them.

I cannot rave about this show enough. I have run in mud, snow, through woods, on rocks, accords creeks, over fallen trees, you name it. My feet have NEVER gotten wet! I did take some getting used to the pull string laces. Also, this pair of shoes does sit up higher and have teeth on the bottom of the shoe similar to rubber cleats. The directional rubber cleats really allow you to climb and grip going down. However, step precisely and carefully on trials with rocks and roots. I had to get used to the higher heel, so I rolled my ankle a few times. That was more related to the periods of not running and then running on new shoes. Now I have NO problem! Now I'm looking at a pair of road running shoes.

After wearing out a previous version of Speedcross 5s, I had to see if the new version was just as good. I've put over 200 trail miles on this version so far this winter, and yes, they are just as amazing if not better. Lower profile tongue, feels more reinforced, beautiful profile that supports my high arch very well, grippy soles that eat up mud, rocks, slush, snow and ice. I love the lace tightening system (don't overtighten!) and that the liners are removable - I will remove these when drying the shoes. I love these shoes, Salomon never change them please! Also I freaking LOVE this color.

These are my first pair of trail shoes bought last month, on recommendation. I wasn't disappointed. I'm usually a size 6 in a shoe, so went up 1/2 a size. The fit is good. My first trail run was through mixed terrain, woodland, muddy fields etc. The trainers performed well and didn't slip in the mud. The fit is supportive in that I didn't twist my ankle on rocky terrain. They were pretty muddy after their first use, but I cleaned them on getting home and they came up as good as new.
