I bought this as a gift for my husband. He loves them and now wants to buy another pair so he could have one just for casual wear and one for running.

this is my 6th pair of speedcross this year and i love they way they wrap around your feet whilst running .. i would recommend them to anyone but suppose a lot look at the price but for me it's about the comfort

Typical Salomon, high quality shoes!

If there is one thing I've learned over the years, don't scrimp on shoes! I have really high arches and so I've searched far and wide for a shoes that will provide great arch support. I've tried all of the name brands, spent hundreds of dollars on the "top-of-the-line" all to still have to wear my orthotics. Enter Solomon. A buddy of mine recommended I should try them so I hit the local store and bought my first pair. That was five years ago and I'm now on my fourth pair of Speed Cross. They work great as a golf shoe, a running shoe or casual out on the town. Looks especially great with no-show socks and shorts! I no longer have to wear my orthotics. I did notice a slight build quality difference between my first and second pair. My first pair had zero issues other than the soles wore out. My second pair had a lace eyelet tear through and the pocket to hide the laces on the tongue seemed not to keep the laces laces tucked as well as my first pair. This my second pair was nearly to the end of their life with very little tread left when these issue occurred so they were pretty tired. Build quality between my two new pair seem identical no differences that I can tell.

Absolutely love them. They are a trail show but I have run some roads with them. A little surprised by how slick they are on asphalt.

I have two pairs of Speed Cross 5's, plus a pair of Wild Cross. All are great fitting, easy on/easy off and extremely versatile for trail running and everyday use. They are my go to shoes. Highly recommended.

Bought my first pair of these for an off-trail backpack trip in the eastern Sierras last summer. They were great, and I continued to use them for hiking, walking, and casual wear throughout the year. Did another eastern Sierra hike this summer, and bought a new pair, and again they were perfect for the demands of talus, scree, granite slabs, snow patches, and stream crossings. No blisters or hot spots on my feet, even having only broken them in minimally. And so comfortable that after hiking 12 miles out on our last day, I just kept them on for the 6 hour drive home to San Diego.

I personally own at least 12 pair of Salomon's, from tactical boots to trail running and Slides! Salomon are truly the most comfortable and best made shoes on the market. I was a special operations Marine Raider and I lived in my Salomon XA Forces for 17 years. Nothing else I can say they're amazing shoes!!

Tested in trails beds of grand Teton and lassen volcanic national park. Holds good grip on the toughest trails that has all sizes of rocks from 4 feet wide to golf size rocks/pebbles. Gives you a good traction when running on loose steep gravel trails. Ran up to lassen peak it was an amazing experience with these shoes

I've owned the speed cross over and over for several years. Having hiked with it on extreme and tame terrain it's proved capable and comfortable, light but rugged. Super well designed for the real trail expert.

I love the support and style of the Speedcross 5. These sneakers are great for any task I need to conquer. From working in a warehouse under adverse weather conditions to hitting the trail. Would highly recommend for those needing supportive and functional footwear.

They fit great feel even better. Nice and light as well.

This shoe is ready for race day right out of the box. It's light and comfortable. Amazing traction. It's my third pair and I recommend highly whether you just casually hiking or race. I love them!!

I've never been disappointed with shoes by Salomon. They're durable, comfortable, and fit like a dream. I'm mainly a walker, and the Speedcross 5 fit the bill. Highly recommended, especially for narrower feet.

I have sensitive ankles and have been using these as a daily shoe (not running). Super comfortable, lace system is cool. I do wish it was a little easier to tuck in the excess wire, its definitely a challenge. Fit is a little larger, *might* want to go down a half size from typical.
