feel more like a trail running shoe rather than a hike shoe which I think have a little firmer sole and support. The shoe is comfortable for light trail hikes but lacks stability on rocky trails

Looks good! Feels very light. Not very supportive on the heel for lateral stability. I know its low top but still could use some heel stability.

Shoes seems well made for an off road walking shoe. I've been buying Danners for 30+ years. and quality has really dwindled, but is not the price. This model has hardly any arch support. I removed the insole and tried using aftermarket arch support, but then the shoes are too tight to wear. They sit in the closet now. I'm losing confidence in the brand. Last Danner work boots had compressed cardboard under the removable insole. It's hit or miss with Danner anymore. I have had good success with the Radical still. But the lower priced work boots are cheap and disposable.

First time buyer for this shoe. I find them very comfortable right out of the box!

I have a very wide foot, triple E, and these double EE only needed a little stretching to make room for my bunions. All in all, a great shoe. Just did a bunch of hikes on the Rockies last week and they were great for grip and traction.

Bought for husband on line, was to tight around ankle. Tool back to store and traded for a different shoe.

Cannot praise these shoes enough. Super comfortable almost right out of the box. Not tons of ankle support, and they're not super stiff, but as hiking shoes they are top notch.

Even though I ordered the EE they still seem pretty narrow.

I've owned 5 or so pair of these shoes and wear them daily at work. Comfy for 12 + hours of wear time

Great looking and feeling shoe

This is my second pair and I am sure I will buy another. The first day I wore these I took my old ones to work with me in case they needed to brake in a little bit. That night when I took my shoes off I was surprised that I did not need to change, they were perfect out of the box. I have recommended these shoes to all my co workers.

Great shoe, can be one shoe for travel for casual outings, walk around and hiking. Comes in wide format that is a must for me.

Too small for my feet.

Very comfortable fit but would like more room below inner footbed for supplementary arch support. Lacing excellent; stays tied.

Because of tennis I needed a daily comfortable shoe away from tennis for around the yard and house. Aching ankles, hips and knees were a real problem. A trail running shoe I thought might be the cure. I was thinking of softness, stability and durability. I was right. This is my 2nd pair and will buy again. Be alert...the grippy traction is real.

Well made and comfortable right out of the box. Im about to take them with me hiking in Maine. I was so impressed with them that I ordered a pair of Danner work shoes, which are as comfortable and well made as the Trail shoes.
