Great little jacket and exactly what I needed for my backpacking trip. Very light, folds up compactly into its own pocket, and gave just the right amount of protection for chilly evenings. I usually wear an XL, but because I was layering, I got the XXL, and it's perfect.

Nice fabric, very packable, with room to layer under it, while this is a minimalist design it is a great piece for everyday rain, spring backpacking, and, with the right midlayer, winter hiking and nordic skiing. Was happy to see the recycled component of the fabric too.

I had this jacket 15 years ago, lost it, and always missed it, without realizing hey, Marmot still makes it! Finally got another one and it's as good as I remembered. Granted, I've used it more as a windbreaker than a rain jacket so far, so can't comment how it holds up in a heavy downpour. Still, great jacket, good price.

Great Jacket style with comfort , and proven reliability.

Just what My son needed for Michigan weather. Thin, water and wind proof. And not noisy.

This jacket kept me dry during winter and its light to carry around. It's also breathable for those who like to run/sprint.

This is a simple shell, for flexible use with other layers for warmth as needed. It does reliably shed rain. I replaced it with the same model after it began to show wear from a few years of use. I've used it in all seasons.

I got the jacket and rain pants for Christmas. I have already used them a few times and they worked great.

Love the color, blue. But tends to run a tad small, size up

Another great jacket, perfect for years of adventuring. After a few years, my first Precip started to show its age and was ready to be replaced. After researching current rain jackets, I purchased another PreCip. Great fit and cut, keeps out the rain on any adventure. This is also a classy functional jacket to wear for normal every day life to stay dry or act as a good wind barrier.

Fits great. Looks great. Tested it out for the first time in a downpour and it performed really well.

Better then expected

This jacket was a Christmas gift and the recipient loved it. It looked great, fit perfect and she was very happy.

Second time to buy one of these jackets very pleased again with this one. Keeps you dry, easy to pack away, good length.

This jacket is everything you would want in a lightweight rain jacket. Perfect weight, perfect length, all the features perfect. Really no compliants. At first, it seemed like it could use some armit vents, but it has them. I can't say anything about durability yet, but I have lived in the Pacific Northwest and I work on the Olympic Peninsula where it rains A LOT, know rain gear, and this is a solid coat.

PreCip is a nice light rain jacket, apparently very well made. However, the fit is cut a wee bit too slim, the arms are a bit too tapered. Fit should be slightly more generous.

Marmot PreCip Eco Jacket is a great jacket. Very flattering and comfortable.

The color and cut are perfect! I get compliments whenever I wear it. The other brands are dull, dull, dull. Truly great styling at a good price!! Thanks Marmot!!

I doubt you can find a better quality jacket at this price-point with this many functions. When the zipper failed after several years, they replaced it. They stand by their products. I wouldn't buy it to go to Mount Everest, but it's a great day hiking jacket!

Both my wife and I have PreCip jackets. We wanted them for portability since they can be packed into its own pocket plus we wanted the great wet weather protection we knew it would provide. We figured we could layer for warmth and the shell could be shed when the rain was gone. Works perfectly that way. If you are wearing short sleeves and wear this it can get clammy but that's the nature of the material and minimal breathability.

I bought my first Marmot Precip Jacket last year. I didn't have a chance to wear it until spring this year. I had it in my bag when I was about to leave from work when the clouds opened and began to drop buckets of water from the Sky. I pulled out my rain jacket and entered sideways onslaught of water. Well my head and torso were bone dry. Everything below the jacket not so much. The rain jacket impressed me so much that I decided I deserved a different color for my birthday. You won't be sorry with the addition of this jacket to your EDC.

This is bar none the best rain jacket that I have ever owned! I have worn this jacket in the rain all day and remain completely dry. Light enough to wear over layers in order to stay warm and then shed inner layers when the day heats up.

My wife and I both have one of these. You cant find a better rain jacket on the market.!
