In just a few years, this jacket started delaminating. Now every time I wear it, little white flakes get everywhere. So guess what? I never wear it.
A hundred bucks, poorly spent...

It was like wearing a garbage bag, the sleeves were too long, and the body was too big.

The jacket is comfortable and would make a good windbreaker. However, It is NOT waterproof - does not even work for a few minutes in rain Very disappointing. Do not buy if you want to stay dry.

was really disappointed in this jacket. bought it just about three years ago and didn't have a chance to wear it in the rain for a few months after that; the first time i did wear it in a heavy rain i got soaked through. had a year or so of it doing fine in a drizzle, but soon the white interior lining started flaking off. at first i would just notice a little bit on whatever i'd been wearing as i took the jacket off, but the last few times i wore this jacket i would be covered in white flakes, along with whatever surface i put it down on. at this point it's unwearable in addition to never actually functioning at the performance level i expected from a marmot product. there's nothing to do with it at this point but send it to a landfill only three years into its life as a garment. would not recommend this rain jacket.

I bought this for iceland and I knew it would t hold up long against a waterfall but even with light mist/rain, the water still soaked through. Wouldn't recommend

Water proof lining flakes off. My shoulders get soaked in a light rain.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I am so disappointed! I wore this jacket in the rain for the first time this morning and I was immediately wet through to the skin though the rain wasn't even hard, just a steady light fall! I live in southwest Florida with distinct dry and wet seasons and a rain jacket that actually repels rain is a necessity during the latter. This jacket is worthless and not at all cheap. What's worse is that I chose this one from the slew of others I tried because of the company name, the fit, and the claims. If I hadn't removed the tag, I would send it back, but I guess I'm not only out the price, but I have to find a rain jacket that actually works as promised.

Not happy with fabric. My husband has had his for quite a while and since we were going to travel, I thought I would get one also. However the quality of the jacket was not at all like his. It was returned without any problem.

This is a very light jacket with some nice features such as the pit-zips, velcro cuffs, hood and front zipper flap. The jacket fits well and is very packable. A chest pocket would have been nice. The main issue is that the jacket is not waterproof (even when treated with DWR - save you money and don't waste applying your DWR on this jacket) and not breathable. After some exposure to rain, the jacket starts to get soaked and water penetrates the material. After longer periods of rain, the jacket is soaked both outside and inside, not just damp. The jacket is best used as a light windbreaker, not "PreCip".

The first time I wore this coat in the rain, the seams leaked, and got worse with heavier rain. Very disappointed as I had other choices and had selected Marmot based on brand reputation, I was wrong.

All I do is sweat in this thing, the 2 times I've worn it I have taken it off to get less wet in the rain.
