Love these boots! The standard Hunter boots are too narrow in the calves, so these are perfect. I'm usually a 9.5 in most shoes, but sized down to a 9 and there is plenty of room for thick socks / possibly an insole.

Bought these for my adult daughter. She loves them. Calf is wide but probably could be wider. Ankle is a little big but you get used to it real quick.

Love these boots!! I have large calves and was so nervous about these fitting comfortably, and they do! The ankles are definitely roomy, but definitely not a deal breaker.

I’m an 8.5 and the 9 wide felt a little large but bought the socks which I’ll wear slit and will be perfect on days I want to tuck in jeans. Original calf was to tight.

Was gift and daughter in law loves them. The wide calf runs a little big without the fleece socks but she’ll always wear some socks so they work.

Love these boots. I have a pair of the Huntress wide calf boots that I have enjoyed. I needed a black pair and came across these. The shaft is taller than the Huntress, which I like. I have a 15 inch calf and these fit perfectly!

These are good rainboots, I just wish they did not feel so cluncky. I feel like it would end up misaligning my gait if I walked a long ways with them. But they are very sturdy and keep my feet dry so am satisfied with them.

The wide calf was perfect unfortunately the ankle was also made extremely wide so there is no support when walking. Feels very straining on your feet when walking

I have a Wide foot - like DD width in some brands. These fit - I wear a size 6. I do worry that someone with a narrow/average width foot would not like these.

I bought these because my calves are 15.5" wide... these are still wide enough to wear with skinny jeans. I normally wear a 39 and bought a size 8 and they were still pretty roomy in the foot area... I will just wear them with thick socks and they'll be fine.

Feels big

These are a nice change from my regular tall hunter that usually require a second person to help me remove them. These I can get off super easily as they don’t cause suction. That being said, because they are wide calf and I’m probably not considered a wide calf I feel like they make more noise in the shaft area when I walk around. I feel like the noise would prevent me from wearing them all day compared to my regular ones that are quiet. The perk of the wide shaft though means that I can be wearing bootcut jeans and still slip these boots on. I have to wear skinny jeans or leggings with my other ones.

While I loved these boots, and it took me 3 to 4 pairs to find a good fit .. in the end, I decided that I really didn't NEED them. Just as an FYI .. I am a true 7 1/2 to 8, and I needed to size down to a 7 (perfect). And, for an average calf (I am 150 lbs ... definitely go with the wide width. I loved these boots!!!

Finally got a pair, these are pretty comfortable and "VERY" tall.. I was shocked how tall. Easy putting on and talking off, which was surprising bc they are so tall. Not sure if keeping, wearing around the house. They do fit a wide calf comfortably Give them a try, not bad.

I definitely can’t put boot style inside these boots but straight leg work fine. They are a little bunchie when I do but they look fine. What justifies these rain boots for me is that I got them half price. If I paid top dollar I would have sent them back.

I am 5’2” and 130 lbs with wide, athletic runner calves. I ordered my normal size 8 because I have a wide, flat foot. These are definitely big, but not so much that I wanted to exchange them. I love that the wide calf version allows me to have that more classic-looking silhouette with the boot sticking out wider then the calf. They do not rub behind my knees, BUT, with the size being a big large, there is a bit of a light “slapping” sound from the shaft hitting the back of my leg when I walk.

I originally bought the shorter wide leg Hunters in black but they looked “off” on me so I ordered these instead in Wave Blue. MUCH happier with these. The taller boot looks better on me since I’m only 5’2”. My calves are 15.5” and these fit well. The ankle area is larger than the shorter version and the originals but I got used to it.

I take 9 1/2 but based on reviews I ordered the 9 and was perfect. Fit with the thick Hunter socks as well. The whole leg is wider so doesn't have the slim fit the other Hunter boots have but at least I can wear Jean's and thick socks with them.

IRonically I found these twin tall and too wide, even though I have thick calves.

Exactly what I wanted but unfortunately these were way to big. I typically wear a size 8.5. I ordered a size down after reading the previous reviews.

Cute Hunter boot that I would love but the fit is off. I have no problem taking them on and off, the calf width is perfect however the ankle area is too wide. When walking, the ankle area makes an obnoxious sound due to being too big and it also creases. Wish I could keep them but unfortunately they have to be returned!

Unfortuniately these Wide Calf boots were to floppy in the leg. I originally order the Regular Hunter boots but they were a little tight in the calf. I will order the adjustable next.....cross your fingers.

Love these hunter boots but for people with bigger flags even though it says wide leg they still don’t have much give compared to the normal width ones.

Unfortunately these boots are not what they claim to be, as also indicated by other reviewers. I have muscular calves so they are a little wider than normal. The original tall Hunter boots are a little snug so I thought the wide version would fit the bill. They’re more wide along the ankle and top of foot versus the calves making it look awkward and uncomfortable. Back to the warehouse for these rain boots.
