Love these boots! I have a hard time finding boots that fit my legs without looking chunky and these are wonderful! These look sliming and I can’t wait to wear them this fall!

I have wanted a pair of Hunter boots for a long time. I am a Birkenstock girl and find any type of closed shoe uncomfortable. These feel great! Ordered the wide calf after reading other reviews since I was looking for a roomier boot. They are wide in the ankle area but the calf does not feel wide at all. Ordered my true size (8) and they are not constricting at all. Love them! Cannot wait for the rain!

I paid attention to the reviews and they are correct. The boots run a little big. My normal size is 6.5, and the 6 was perfect. I was wearing thin Smartwool socks and felt if I wanted to I could swap them out for 1 pair of fleece socks and the boots would still fit. If you're a half size, go down not up. I have wide feet and the boots easily accommodate them w/o pinching. I was particularly concerned about the calf circumference and wanted my regular straight-leg jeans to fit inside. I have 17" calves and I can easily put the boots on over the jeans, w a little room to spare. Comfy right out of the box and wore them all day. They have a bit of a heel if you're used to sneakers or light hiking boots -- not an issue and gives them a bit more style than regular muck boots.

I’d been wanting Hunter boots for awhile and these were available for a great price! I knew based on reviews that they run a little large but it’s not a big deal at all-especially now that I purchased boot socks to go with them. They have been a godsend to wear on rainy days and are super cute with jeans and leggings.

I normally wear a 6 1/2” & bought a size 6 and they fit great. Got them on sale, Great purchase!

I was unsure if I needed the Hunter wide boot, but I measures my calf at 15" and I did want a boot that I could tuck my pants into so I went with these are they are prefect. Just enough room to tuck my pants in without them being to loose at the top. I am 5'4" tall and the height is prefect, just under my knee. I usually wear a 7 1/2 but size up to an 8 in boots for socks, but I read comments and sized down to a 7 and am happy that I did. I'm very happy with these boots.

Hunter Original Tall Wide Leg vs. Huntress Boot This is a great boot for those looking for the authentic “Hunter Boot” look and have wider legs. I am normally a 7.5 so I ordered down to a 7 as recommended and they fit great. The wider leg also had enough room to allow for jeans. However, the style and leg height were not a good fit for me. I was looking for a boot that I could wear in the garden too, so I went with the Huntress Field Boot. In comparison the Original Tall is made of stiffer material and the toe box is wider. I required an 8 in the Huntress Field Boot in order to get the same fit. The Original Tall is a great option if you are looking for a stylish knee high boot and don’t require the outdoor ruggedness. The Huntress Boot is a great option if you want a more flexible boot material and shorter boot height over.

Great boots. Fit fine. I was concerned about the calf width but they fit and feel fine.

Happy to write this review. It took at least four tries to find the right fit. I am usually a 7 1/2 - 8M. I ended up with a 7M, and can definitely wear a pair of heavy socks for the winter with plenty of room. My difficulty was also in the calf fit. I am 5'4" and 150 lbs, and ended up with the Tall Wide Leg, which gives me plenty of room to tuck in jeans. Shout out to Zappos for allowing me to try and find my right fit without charging any postage. Definitely a plus ... just as easy at shopping retail.

Everything was fine except the left boot was crunched. I’m assuming it will go back to its original form when worn.

I sized down 1 size because the wide leg in my regular size made the overall fit to big. Sizing down made the foot part tighter so it was a much better fit

I was hesitant to order these at first given the negative reviews about how wide these rain boots would actually since the pair didn't seem to fit a lot of wide-calf customers - but after struggling to find boot options throughout my life (I have wide calves AND wide feet...)I'm comfortably able to say these technically do fit wide calves - the question is essentially how wide your calves are. I measured mine at 16" at the widest part, am 5'2", and were able to fit them over my calves comfortably, although there's not much space so I'm guessing wearing jeans would be out of the question. These look a lot better than the huntress boots because they're a lot taller and aren't as wide in the ankles, but I wasn't able to fit in the foots with the hunter boot socks. So i'd say if you have a 15.5" calf then you're good to go to style these with jeans.

Overall I love these classic Hunter rain boots. Fits and looks great. However I noticed that my toes reach the tip of the boots, therefore it may be snug if I choose to wear the thick Hunter socks with them. If you know you are going to wear cable knit or any thick socks, it may be a good idea to order at least a half-size larger.

I think they will be fine. They seem a bit big, but I wasn’t wearing heavy socks. I needed wide calf, and these are great. I travel with a company that only uses “wet” landings and it costs $100 each time to rent boots, so seemed to make sense to buy my own as I have at least 3 trips with them in the future.

Based on other reviews and sized down 1/2 size and glad I did as my regular size would have been too big. Happy with my purchase.

If you’re a half size you want to size up .

Overall, I thought these boot fit well. Originally wanted the gloss boot but the price on these were hard to pass up on! I read a review that mentioned the ankle part of the boot was a bit big. The calf is wide so the ankle part is gonna unfortunately be wide as well. I can wear my skinny jeans and leggings with my boots.

This is my second pair of Hunter boots I’ve ever purchased and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! Highest quality, excellent comfort, and oh so easy to put on and take off.

To be fair these are the "Wide Leg" rain boots and I fall into the petite category size-wise but they were on sale and I actually needed them to be wide so I could tuck in my sweat rain paints. They are also big enough to fit my orthotics. So all in all, they are perfect. I've already worn them out in soggy country fields and through miles of rain soaked walks in the city. Not only are they comfortable and my feet stay dry, but I look very stylish. Love them.

I purchased the wide boot after having trouble with the regular boot being too tight around my ankles. I had trouble removing and putting on the regular width boots. But they fit fine while wearing. My foot wouldn't even go in the boot with welly socks. The wide boots are much better for me. I can put them on and take them off with no problem. They are a little big as they are wider but I can wear inserts for arch suppory, (I have plantar fasciitis) or the welly socks with no problem now.

They keep my feet dry and are easy to clean.
