Exactly what I was looking for! I had trouble in my size 9s finding a hiking boots that I won't slip in the heel. These are perfect. No heel slip and room in the toe box just a wee bit if I want to wear a thicker sock. I and a 9 and ordered a 9. Perfect. Great support around ankle. I'm not a professional hiker but when I travel I do some trails and these will be perfect for hiking and also throwing in skinny jeans and a sweater. I love that they will be easy to pack for travel and not crazy bulky in my suitcase. They are light weight and not near as wide as other hiking boots. Even if you don't hike these would be a GREAT winter shoe here in Nebraska!

Some reviewers said they thought this boot runs a bit narrow and maybe even slightly long. Lucky for me! My feet are a bit narrow (or I would say "low volume") and this boot fit perfectly for me. I often run into shoes that run slightly short, and this boot has plenty of room in the toe box for me. I'm so thankful that Merrill makes this boot for narrow feet like mine!

Disappointed that I'll have to return these. They look a little cheap for their price, but much nicer than most hiking boots with a smooth more versatile leather look instead of that rough mesh look that I'm not sure results in a sturdier or better hiking boot. They would have been extremely comfortable had they not been super narrow. I don't know many women who have feet that narrow, especially athletic women who hike. It's disappointing that it's so hard to find hiking boots these days that fit well - seems manufacturers are concerned about women's hiking boots looking either feminine or super sporty rather than serving their purpose: being a hiking boot.

I loved this hiking boot. It’s perfect for dressing up in the winter, spring, and fall. Your feet will have constant energy in these shoes. If you have a wide foot and order a 1/2 size up it might not accommodate due to the fact the shoes run a little long, you might end up with extra space in the toe. This shoe isn’t available in a wide but should be. The shoes come with two sets of laces, one blue and one brown. The lining of the shoe is the same as Merrell’s Moab.

I tried these out on a 45 minute treadmill walk. Very comfy, feet well supported, no ankle slipping. The right feels quite snug and squeezing my toes but am hoping for some stretch, these are keepers.

Loved this boot! Of the 5 pair that I ordered, it was the most comfortable by far. Excellent tread on the soles and moderate arch support. I ordered the otter color because they did not have the boulder color in my size. In the otter, it just looks too much like a Redwing work boot, so sadly I am returning.

They look great and are comfortable. Unlike other reviewers, I don't find them to be narrow, but they are warm. So there's part of me that wishes I had ordered the cheaper (and likely more breathable) non-waterproof version, but I hope to use them on a hike in a wet environment, so hopefully the waterproofing will come in handy later.

Love the look and feel of these but they are way too hot on my feet. Guess I'm one of those people who just can't do waterproof/goretex

With some footware, I need a 9.5, and with some I need a 10. This boot feels a little short, and consequently a little narrow. I will be ordering a 10 and then make a comparison, keeping the more comfortable one and returning the other. (I have troubled feet and find them difficult to fit.)

I love these boots, I have bad arthritis in my knees, and also get blisters on my ankle's very easily from shoes rubbing on them. I have been able to immediately use them to walk for over an hour with no foot pain, rubbing, or blisters. They are incredibly comfortable for me.

Warm and comfortable shoes. They stay dry yay! They do run thin, but my other pair stretched over time so these probably will to.

I bought these shoes a few months ago for hiking and they are perfect! Didn't even require any breaking in. I wore them everyday for a 5 day trip with no discomfort or blisters. I have WIDE feet and these fit great. They are also so cute, I bought them in Gold.

This is my first real hiking boot and I am in love. It definitely supports me more than the hiking shoes I have, and they barely needed any breaking in.

I purchased the Ontario Mid Waterproof in gold, which unfortunately appears to be no longer available online, but I love the color and style. The boot fits exactly as I'd like it to - snug in all the right places including the ankle, but no hot spots and enough room in the front so my toes won't get jammed while going downhill. Lightweight and grippy were my top two hiking boot criteria, and being exceptionally stylish is a fun bonus.
For size reference, I ordered a 9.5, and I'm usually a 9/39 in regular shoes and a 9.5 in cycling shoes and 10.5 in running shoes.

I purchased these boots before heading up to Glacier National Park to do lots of hiking (15-20 miles a day). I was looking for a boot with ankle support, one that could be sturdy, and also make my feet feel great after a long day of navigating trails.
Knowing that my feet can swell slightly with long hikes, I purchased a 1/2 size bigger (10.5) than I normally wear. It was perfect! Enough room in the toe box as I wore my wool hiking socks. After almost 50 miles of hiking, I can honestly say I am in LOVE with these boots! So glad I purchased them and can't wait to hit up more trails soon.

This boot is sooo comfortable for me, fit my foot to a tee. I just ordered another pair in expresso. I have never in my 67 yrs. had my feet feel so good. Don't hesitate just buy them.

So I have rather wide feet...and these fit perfectly. I was hesitant because I saw a few reviews saying they weren't good for wider feet. Obviously, every person is different but I want to say that these fit me great. They're so comfortable and soooo cute. Can't wait to wear them on my next hike.

I got these boots as a replacement for an older pair of Merrells that lasted me forever! These have been with me now for a few weeks and approximately thirty miles of hard terrain. These are super comfy and the ankle support is amazing, definitely worth the money!

Do you yourself a favor and buy these boots. Bought them for a 30 mile backpacking trip in Colorado. Not only is the boot super stylish, they are insanely comfortable and lightweight. I didn't have time to break them in before and they were perfect out on the trail. 10/10 recommend!

These boots are super comfortable and fit as expected. They're also even cuter in person and I get so many compliments on them while hiking! I wore them for a 10 mile hike after only wearing them once before and my feet didn't blister, nor did the arches of my feet have any pain (that I sometimes get from other hiking shoes). Love them!

I am very happy with my purchase, the quality of the product is well worth the money. I live in the PNW where it rains a lot and most hiking trails are muddy. I have used my boots twice so far. First time was a 5 miles moderate hike on a well maintained trail just for breaking in the shoes. The second hike was a moderate10 miles with a few stream crossing, muddy trail and it was raining a little but the boots keep my feet dry the whole time. I also have ankle injury last year and the high ankle feature of the boots give me the best support and I didn't feel any pain during or after both the hikes. Highly recommended!
