I've had a pair of Merrell Hiking Boots for probably a decade. I love it. But they reached the end of their life. I was going to order the same pair, but came across this model. I got it. It looks a little dorky, but once outside in difficult weather, they were great! Completely waterproof, was in pouring rain. I have a narrow heel and there was no slippage. It fits like a glove. No break in time necessary. They with stood slippery areas and are full of mud. Not bad for it's virgin journey.

I bought this hiker to replace a worn out pair. The shoe is comfortable right out of the box! I was able to wear them on an extended hike the very next day. The sole did well to keep me gripped on a hike with a wet and rocky trail. I didn't try out their waterproof feature really yet but my feet were dry. My feet did not hurt after walking in them all day.

Gave the boot a good test hiking mountains in CO. This is a very high performance boot.

I bought these 1/2 size bigger than my usual size, which I think is what I should have been doing all along with hiking boots. They are slightly roomy that way, but allow for my feet to "expand" while I'm out hiking on long hikes and/or day hikes. They are super comfortable. Without even breaking them in, I wore on a 7 mile hike, and had no issues whatsoever. I like that they are stylish as well and not so ugly/clunky like most hiking boots. Also - they came with both blue and brown laces which I also appreciated :)

They took me up 3500 ft. on a 5.5 mile hike around the perimeter of Mt. Ouray and thru a small stream. I can't say enough good about them. They gripped the rigged narrow paths and rocks and kept my feet comfy and dry.

I walked part of the Camino trail, 114 km in five days last fall. This was the only shoe I wore and I am pleased to share that they were very comfortable. I had no blisters or sore feet afterwards. Now almost 1000 km later of walking in the shoes, I am going to buy a new pair of the same ones.

I purchased my normal size, 8.5, in the brown color which fit perfectly and look great. They were comfortable the first time testing them out. I did a short 3 mile hike. The only advice I would give is to just make sure you wear an ankle or calf length sock so not to get an ankle blister. My first hike I wore a lower wool sock and got a small ankle blister. The next hike was almost 6 miles with the calf length sock and I was very comfortable and could have kept going. I have a sprained ankle and felt there was very good ankle support. The soles had good grip as I climbed over rocks and leafy paths. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and will get much use from them. I've previously had Merrell Moab Ventilators (ankle length) for the past 5 years and used them to hike Yosemite and the mountains of Switzerland. This brand is very reliable and durable.

Merrells suit my feet; I particularly like the flexible fabric allowing for movement around the ankle. I just want to know: these are rated as waterproof, but should I also spray them with a waterproof spray? Thanks.

Very comfy and perfect fit. Good for walking and work

i've used these everyday on my hikes and find them to be super durable but also lightweight, unlike my other bulky pair. plus they are extremely cute. i always have issues with compacted gravel and my feet - but these make all types of hiking experiences pleasant. i was initially worried that mud would get all over them, and that i'd have to wear my bulky ones for muddier hikes but can step right in mud without it ruining the boots. looooooove!

Got these in the green color and love them. I was worried I wouldn't like the bright blue shoelaces, but they're actually a little more muted in person and the colors look great together. I ordered my usual shoe size, 8.5, and they fit perfectly. Shockingly lightweight (like, lighter than sneakers!) and so comfortable. Have only hiked in them twice so far but looking forward to getting plenty of use out of them.

I have nerve damage in my legs that causes weakness and bad sensation, and have a tough time finding shoes, but these ones are basically handicap accessible! I love these boots because they are more light-weight than most, and I've walked through shallow streams, on mud or dust, and all over the mountains of Tahoe and even wore them to Normandy. These are great for people with weak ankle stability. The firm heal, but supportive cushion, helps avoid wobbliness that tennis shoes can cause. In terms of appearance, I get a lot of compliments on these, and wear them to work sometimes. Please don't every stop making these! :) Mary

I bought these boots 6 months ago & after 60+ miles of hikes since purchasing these (plus running around town in them), I can say these are my absolute favorite pair of hikers I've ever owned. I love them so much I hope to buy another pair sooner than later. They are super cute, VERY comfortable, keep my feet dry when grass is dewy or trails are muddy, and I still get the warm & fuzzies about them every time I put them on. Best boots I've ever owned, hands down.

These are the beat hiking boots I have ever owned. They are light and comfy with great support. Very glad I purchased them.

I had to exchange for a half size up, so I don't have a full report. Very comfortable walking around in the house. Lightweight which was what I was looking for.

Love this boot so much that this is my second one. They fit so comfortably and wear well and are definitely waterproof. Perfect boot for me. An added bonus...they look good too. Just love this boot!

Just hiked 4 miles in the rain. My feet were dry and toasty on the inside. They were comfortable right out of the box and have not given me any blisters on the heels even going I've climbed 60 flights of stairs at a time with these on. They're too hot for summer shoes but for winter hiking they are spot on.

I ordered the lichen color and they are beautiful! Soft, light, comfortable and practical. I wish I ordered these a long time ago. I've been doing a lot of walks/hiking since being home and they are perfect and comfortable right out of the box. Super supportive- I will order another pair soon!

Love these boots! I would have given a 5 for the comfort but the right boot is a little tighter than the left(right foot is wider than my left), would have been nice to have it come in a wide, only offers medium width, sure it will stretch out with more wear! I chose the green pair, awesome color!

I have always had a difficult time finding shoes/boots that are comfortable for my 10.5 size foot. This boot is AWESOME!! I purchased a pair to train dogs in a sandy arena and not only can I run in it, it keeps all of the sand out!! I can run in them and wear them all day. They are a new favorite and I'll be getting another pair.

I needed a short boot that I could be comfortable in for hours in horse arenas where I train dogs for dog agility. A boot that would NOT let sand/footing get in to the boot, my socks, etc. Light weight, comfortable, supportive. I wear a 10.5 and found this boot in a women's size 10.5 to be perfect. Am getting another pair, different collar.

I have a wide foot and often have difficulty finding boots; however, the second I put these on I knew I'd found the ones! They are SO comfortable, wide and lightweight! They're easy to walk and have amazing vibram soles. Great for all weather hiking!

I typically have a difficult time finding shoes that don't cause me to get blisters. These boots are super comfortable and fit well. We hiked all over the AZ and NV and I did not get one blister! Love them!

Love this boots so much, they are perfect for hiking AND every day. I feel chic just wearing this every day, and they are good for my wide feet. I like the roomier fit for thicker socks. Can you bring the lighter colour back and not discontinue?
