Over the past few months I have tried several brands of lightweight trail runners and have been disappointed. I need moderate cushioning for the very sensitive balls of my feet, arch support and a wide toe box and also prefer a trim profile shoe. I am elated with this shoe! It’s the perfect balance of cushioning, protection and stability. I have the grey/orange color and it looks fabulous.

Cute shoes but not for me. There's a weird bump in the middle of the shoe. Maybe it's for people with high arches. Also not good for people who pronate.

These are excellent walking shoes, very comfortable.My podiatrist recommend this shoe for me .

Bought these in May for power-walking mixed with low cardio on the bike trail. LOVE these shoes! I have a wide toe-box and narrow heel so I am hard to fit. My normal size is 8.5 W and these came in 8.5M but worked! Great support for my high arches too.

Appreciated the stiffer sole of this shoe as it gives more support. The other shoes I tried had too much "give" in the sole.

I love these shoes. I needed something for daily walking on lousy pavement. These things are sneakers on steroids without being heavy or clunky. I tried on about 10 pairs before I chose these.

These didn't quite make the cut when compared with Salomon and On Cloud, so back they went. They didn't quite have the same secure lateral support the others offered.

These shoes are awesome! I usually wear a 10 in athletic shoes but ordered a 9.5 and they fit perfect. They are wider in the toe box than a lot of shoes because of the somewhat rounded toe area. These shoes remind me of the Earth shoes of the 1970's. There is minimal padding in the collar which I love and no padding on the tongue which I love even more. I hate fat, puffy athletic shoes. I like the Bellow's tongue (partially sewn to the shoe - I looked it up) because it keeps the tongue in place. Two things for me - I don't need a lot of arch support and the insoles that came in them was too high in my right shoe but they are removable so I replaced them. Also, when I first put them on the soles made an odd noises when I walked on my tile floors. After about an hour though the noise went away. I have hardly taken these shoes off since I got them. They are very comfortable.

These are the most comfortable sneaks I've ever had, I think. I use them for general wear, walking and standing, working. I just traveled with them and didn't really need to break them in any beforehand. If I'm going to be standing for a long time, I swap out the insoles for some cushier ones. These do NOT press down onto the tops of my toes with each step, like many laced shoes do. I have long/narrow feet, and the fit is great - fitted in the heel and mid, with a nice roomy toe box, no rubbing or pressure at all in the front end, but good stability from the back and mid being less roomy. If you have sensitive toes, these are a dream. Some of the color combos are hideous to me, though. I bought the basic black, and I wish they had an inverted version - grey with black trim. I'd buy those up in a heartbeat.

These have an oddly flimsy feel and a somewhat clumsy look but I was surprised by how good they felt on the trail. Plenty of cushioning, yet I can still feel the trail well enough to respond to random roots and rocks. So far the traction has been good but I haven't run anything super technical. I don't think these would ever replace my Bushidos for serious trail runs, but they're great for logging mileage on easy dirt & rocks.

The shoes ran about a half size larger than expected (I got a size 10 but could have made do with a 9.5), but they are fine as is. They were definitely wide enough for my bunion. When one pulls on the shoestrings, the strings tighten very evenly and smoothly so it's quick and easy getting them laced up to the proper tightness. The support is excellent. I feel very grounded wearing them, even though the soles are more elevated than the Bare Access Merrells I got a few years ago. The soles are also bouncy, taking the pressure off my feet. I wear them hiking, in the gym, but I end up wearing them all day (I am actively retired). They are very, very comfortable, and good looking (got the grey/orange).

The shoe fit is narrow in the area of the arch, and the arch too high even after taking out the arch support.

These shoes fit fairly well but the left shoe squeaks every time you take a step. Weird I bought 2 pair and the 2nd pair does not squeak but I may still return them B/C the shoe is fairly stiff at the top behind my ankle and it tends rub. I need enough time wearing it only on carpet to determine how bad the problem is. I do like the fact that these shoes are very light but still have some padding for your heel.

These are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever worn. I’m a nurse on my feet all day & I am constantly surprised that my feet are so happy.

True to size, stylish, comfortable.

A very light, comfortable shoe. I chose these for my daily (gravel road) walking shoes.

They were just a tad to big for me (I usually wear an 8.5-9) but fit my 35 y.o. daughter perfectly and she loves them (she wears 9-9.5) - that is the reason for the 5 stars!

These sneakers are crazy comfortable right out of the box, just buy them !!

Great shoes! Fit seems true to size with good support. The shoes provide excellent stability allowing me to feel sure footed and supported no matter the surface. I have a flat feet, a bunion on my left foot as well as severe inflammation and nerve damage on both feet. My favorite leisure activities are hiking and walking. These shoes are the first shoes I have found that allow me to hike 10 miles over rough terrain with no pain! Exceptional shoes! Except limited colors/kinda ugly.

These did not have enough cushion in the foot bed for me. Also I thought they were a little bulky looking.

First, I love Merrells and almost exclusively wear Merrells. I have found plenty of Merrells with the wide toe box I require and many reviews mention a wide toe box. These shoes were immediately comfortable as are all Merrells. They look good - even got a few compliments. Walking, it looked like my feet were pronating but I thought maybe an optical illusion because of the design. Then my left hip, which has never been a problem started to hurt...a lot. I stopped wearing them, hip got better, tried wearing again for two days and the hip is starting to complain. I brought them to my pedorthist appt and he said I was definitely pronating in them (I am a supinator) and it turned my hip in as I walked. He pointed out how the inner heel compressed as I walked and there is a crease in the inner heel. I've had these just over a month. I'm very, very disappointed.
