I love these shoes. Well I did love them until they started ripping 3 months into wearing them.

I had two pair of the 2019 version of the Antora. Ordered my usual size which was too large and had to exchange it for a 1/2 smaller size. The first pair was so comfortable I decided to buy a second pair. After 4-5 months of wearing the first pair I noticed the side of the shoe (at the small toe location) started to fray and a small hole was forming. Also, the heel had stretched and made the shoe less supportive which made me feel unstable when I walked. (I do have a very narrow heel so this may be a problem specific to someone with a narrower heel.) Put this pair in the Women's Shelter donation bag and started wearing the 2nd pair. The heel on these stretched within 2-3 months which was unfortunate since they still looked new. Since I need stable shoes both pair have been donated. Hopefully the newer version is higher quality.

So, I am really loving these shoes from a fit perspective, and they are wonderful for working in a busy medical practice where I am on my feet almost all day. However, I get this really annoying squeak/creak sound absolutely every time I walk. It is seriously driving me NUTS at work. I find myself mentioning it all day to patients and I'm just wondering if anybody else has noticed that or if I just have a wonky pair. I actually completely love them otherwise, so I really don't want to have to send them back but OMG it's driving me batty!!

There is a large bump (support area) at the area where the ball of the foot meets the arch. It's not quite placed properly to be arch support, so you wind up with lots of support/pressure on the ball of your foot. If you like this, you're good. For me, it was too much and made my foot start to go numb. Otherwise, great looking shoe. Sorry I had to return.

The shoe is well made and very attractive and I was hoping to keep them. I have worn Merrell shoes for years and ordered my usual size (8) but this shoe is too long and slips on my heels. The shoe is extremely supportivetoo supportive, and hurts my feet. The raised bumps within the insoles are very uncomfortable and do not work with my feet.

I wanted a shoe for trails and still look good for shopping. Loved the fabric and the soles. Had to return for several reasons 1) lack of support (high arches) - I tried with my custom insoles but then the top of the shoe rubbed the top of my foot and made it sore - with thick socks. 2) even changing the lacing could never keep the shoes tied (even double knots wouldn't stay) 3) could never get it tight on the right ankle - foot kept sliding up (above shoe) when I walked.
I am searching for something similar that will work

This is the first pair of Merrells that I haven't liked. They look great and I love the colors, but that's the end of the positives. I find these shoes to be very stiff. They're even hard to bend when you try to flex the shoe with your hands. I've worn them a few times in the past week and feel like I'm getting plantar fasciitis, which I've never had before. I'm very disappointed in the shoes and do not recommend them.

I have ran in only Merrell's for the past four years. They fit my feet perfectly and I have always been happy with them. This pair unfortunately fell short of that. They feel more like a hiking shoe than a trail running shoe. My feet are sore after running in them. I also don't like the material used in the upper there really isn't much softness to it. I will try something else next time.

I always order a women's 6.5 or 7. Ordered these in a 6.5 and they were way too small and extremely narrow. Disappointed because the style was understated compared to some of the trail running shoes.

I really wanted to like these. The fit is great. Toes are not cramped. There is good arch support. I did not keep them because they feel very stiff.

I have gotten several pair of Antora shoes in the past 2.5 years. They are comfortable right from the start however within a year or a little longer I have had three pairs of the Antora shoes rip on the front sides near the toe plastic guard - Because I rotate the shoes out between daily walks I was surprised they only lasted this long. I got my sister a pair last year and the same thing happened to her within 9 mo. I am willing to pay the price for quality however this has fallen short. Merrell does have a defective policy up to one year providing you have kept the payment receipt of which I did not. Next solution -proof of manufacturing date which is on the shoe size tag however that date is usually over a year old by the time you receive your new shoes. So basically good shoe - but expect to only have it for about a year without the tears.
Disappointed,

Disappointed in these shoes as Merrell is one of my favorite brands. When they arrived and I tried them on they seemed to fit fine, however on my daily walks, I soon discovered they caused me to pronate.i have not had that problem before and not with the shoe brands I've previously worn. I wore them twice for four mile walks then put them back in the box. I guess I can wear them for brief periods but I'm going to have to buy another pair of shoes for my walks.

This is the first pair of Merrells that I have ever returned, and they are my favorite footwear brand. I typically love the fit of Merrell, but this one is different. I found the front of the shoe too narrow and the heel too wide. My heel kept slipping out of the shoe even when tied quite tight, which caused the front of my foot to be squished.

Fit was great, but didn’t have enough arch support for me, but I would have added an insole, but then both shoes starring squeaking when I walked. I was disappointed that I had to return them.

I bought these shoes in April 2020 and six months later the crease points have frayed and holes appearing along the point where fabric meets the sole. Very comfortable fit but not a reasonable amount of time to see this level of wear and tear.

I have loved Merrell hiking shoes for years. I was looking fr a lightweight hiking shoe for cold weather. Not wet weather. and I have already returned a pair because I do NOT like a bellowed tongue. Antora has no bellowed tongue and did not include anything in the description that said anything about ventilation. i wore them twice and within minutes my shoes were filled with sand, dirt and debris. Everything seeps right into the shoe through the fabric. I stopped twice during a 1-hour hike to empty my shoes! i already have a lovely Merrell pair from a few years ago--that are perfect for hot days. the air and everything goes right through them. I love them and do not need to replace them.
I am so unhappy. I still need a shoe for hiking on a chilly day-one without a bellows tongue that does not allow sand or dirt to seep in. Merrell offers no email address for me to write....just adds to the disappointment.

Just my foot. The shoe was so comfy, but as soon as I put them on, my feet pronated. The little arch support was just in the wrong place for my foot. Too bad! Otherwise, they felt like Lazy Boy Loungers!
