Really disappointing that the shoes do not have the standard Birkenstock footbed. The shoes don't provide the same level of arch support, or support overall.

I read all the reviews that said to size up so I did and boy oh boy was I wrong. I think that if you have narrow feet you should stick to your regular size. However, the deep heel cup does cause chafing on your ankles like many reviews indicated. I know it worked for others but not for me. I got the pink suede and they were beautiful. Big bummer. Returned them.

I wanted to love these shoes. When I tied this shoe so that it would fit snuggly, the top of the shoe gapped a bit. Sadly, I'm returning them.

1947I have the yellow ones. Wanted to get another color but they seem to be all gone. We got a new airstream. So I got the silver ones. Last week when we were camping a gal said “Did you get those to match your Airstream?” I said”Totally” and gave her the info to get a pair!

If you like the Birkenstock clogs you are going to like these shoes. Very comfortable and dorkeley stylish

I ordered a 40 even though my Arizona’s are a 39. The 40 fits well. The support isn’t as intense as with the Arizona’s but these are cute and I’ll keep them. The suede is soft and comfy. I like how much room there is around the toes.

This shoe is very comfortable and do love Birkenstock. The only con I can say is that you need to use a shoe horn when putting it on because the heel does tend to "bend" but once it is on, the shoe is very comfortable. I was happy to get it on sale as the shoe is a bit expensive but I did need a closed shoe for the colder months. While the shoe is expensive, I do hope it lasts as long as all my other Birkenstock shoes do which makes them worth the price.

I have been a Birkenstock lover for years but this was my first pair of enclosed Birkenstocks. They are very fashionable and almost more comfortable then the Birkenstock sandals. I absolutely love them.

I normally wear 38R but ordered a 39N because they only had it in narrow and I figured it might be on the small side, which is what happened with the Birkenstock Wrigley sneaker 38R. The Gary however is nothing like the Wrigley: it's much softer and kind of floppy on the sides and heel (the Wrigley is rigid, sort of more structured and lined all over). Bottom line: I could have gotten a 38N and be OK. However I am keeping it and wearing it with thick socks. Excellent arch support.

Fits just like a birk should. Was great. I find these even more comfortable than sneakers. But looks like a granny shoe

These shoes are very cute! They go with tons of things. They are very comfortable right out of the box. I have very narrow skinny feet and if I wear these barefoot, they are a tad big but not horrible. If I wear a sock they are perfect! Love the dark metallic silver! You can wear it with almost any color. Love my Birks!

This is a beautiful shoe and I wanted to keep it. But the higher cut rubbed on the inside of my foot, making it too uncomfortable.

So odd, I have worn and own 100's of Birkenstock sandals, shoes and boot, ALWAYS order/wear 38. These are small, barely fit barefoot. So strange. Returned.

I wish the descriptions of Birkenstocks indicated if they had the toe bar or not. That is what I would consider "the original footbed." But it's not, and that is what I need. They are a little on the clunky side but sort of cute in a Birkenstock way. I probably would have kept them if they had the right footbed.

I really wanted to like these as I have been looking for a nice casual close-toed shoe. However, they seem to run wide even though they are marked narrow. I tried two sizes, my normal Birk 40 and a larger 41. Both were uncomfortable in the footbed and did not feel secure on my feet. So, back they go.

I normally wear a 10 narrow, so I ordered the 41N (10-10.5N). I really liked the style of this shoe for the comfortable foot bed and I could potentially wear with my orthotics; unfortunately I had to return them because although the toe box was wide, it was also too short. I have long, narrow feet that match my long and narrow toes. I didn’t exchange for the next size up because they would have been too large as the top of the sides were already rubbing against my ankles but was remedied by wearing thicker socks.

The reviews are right. This is a narrow, narrow shoe! I’ve tried on other Birkenstock’s that say narrow, but are really medium. I returned, but not because they were narrow. It was the sole that was uncomfortable for me. If I could have removed the insert, I would have kept.

I was looking for a walking shoe but these did not work. They seemed narrow and then in the back the shoe rode up and down in the heel.

I know this shoe was marked narrow, but the issue were more the instep. I have a high instep and it was hard to get on. I like the foldable back but it was not possible to get my foot in. So sending them back.

I love this shoe but I had to order 5 different shoes to get one that fit. I first ordered my size using the us size 7-7.5 they recommended I know Birks are European sizing but took the recommendation from online. I wear a size 36 or 37. The first pair I got were 38 and huge. I ordered the 36 and 37 to see which would work. Then I found a code for a discount so I placed the same order again to get the discount planning to return the rest. That’s where I lucked out. The first pair of 37s was really tight on my right foot, super narrow I could hardly get my foot in the shoe, the left shoe fit perfectly. I thought that was it and I was really sad but I decided to open the second pair I ordered just to see if it fit different, low and behold the second pair fit and are super comfy!!!! Sizing fluctuates within the same style.

I love these shoes. So comfy to walk in. I wish Birkenstock would make a similar shoe for summer. Maybe with a linen upper?
