My feet are warm when I use this shoes.

For the last 4 years I have wore Merrells. They are the best boots I have put my feet into. I wear these whether I'm hiking, walking or just normal every day use. There wasn't a break in period, they didn't make my feet feel uncomfortable at all. Felt as if they had been mine for months. Only got new ones because I wanted some that were more waterproof. Get these, you won't be disappointed!!!

Honestly just a great shoe. I've used them in heavy rain, in the city, on hikes of varying technicality and they've just never failed me. Super stylish with a modern look that moves away from your grandpa's hiking boot yet remains classic.

Great boots, but would like to know whether they need waterproofing from time to time. Also, are the leather uppers Nubuck?

Great shoe that is stylish and holds up in tough climates. Would buy a second pair gladly when this one wears out.

This boot is perfect for an everyday run around town boot in good or bad weather. I love it so much that I just ordered my second pair in a different color. I have the Sailor and the Dark Earth colors. This boot fits me perfectly and I really like it because it's light weight, waterproof in rain or snow, it's got a good grip sole and it's just a really good looking boot. It's not thermal lined but it's still warm enough for winter use. If I am doing snow removal etc. in extreme cold I put on my thermal lined Merrell's which I've had for many, many years. Honestly of all the shoes or boots that I have had these Merrell's fit better than any of them. I couldn't be happier.

I just put these on out of the box and so far the fit and comfort are as they were in the store, which is to say very good. I don't have enough miles on them to make a final judgement yet. I now own 7(! ) different pairs of Merrells, which might me a super fan, but I take a hard look at each one before I decide to keep them. I've been searching for a mid-boot that does it all-looks good on a plane, in town, is light weight!, AND will get you onto most trails when you didn't (or couldn't) bring your "regular" hiking shoes. So far these seem to fit the bill, especially the weight! No, these don't have the thickest leather uppers, but the soles are substantial and Merrells tend to hold up well, so I'm looking forward to seeing how these perform. A couple things to be aware of: Yes, as others have noted the waterproof versions can feel hot, but you can reduce the warmth somewhat by wearing the laces loose. One more potential issue-while they appear ready to wade through small streams, the actual waterproof height is only about 1/2" higher than a low-rise hiking shoe, due to the fact that the tongue is separate from the upper down to about the first lace loop.

They arrived fast, the size was perfect, and they are beyond comfortable. Honestly no complaints

Wore these today for a 7 mile hike and did not disappoint. I'm used to using ankle height hiking shoes my other pair I typically use are moab ventilators which are still nice and more flexible. But for mid boots you cant go wrong these have incredible grip provide good protection and are definitely waterproof and were comfortable right out of the box cant wait to use these again.

I love them ! Wearing them is like having your favorite old pair of tennis shoes on . I walk for exercise most evenings . I wore them , rather than my normal walking shoes , to break them in for hiking trips this fall . Now I wear them ever time I walk because they are so comfortable . The only question I have is " can a boot this comfortable be durable ?" I guess only time will tell !

Fits well, looks sharp and feels great!

Really nice looking boot, purchased in Sailor ( Blue). I have a size 15 foot. This boot was just slightly short but not enough to return. Well constructed and extremely comfortable. For lighter duty hiking.....not excessively rocky, technical terrain...but smoother trails. Glad I bought it.

I received my Ontario Mids days before heading to the Adirondacks for a week. We did some trail climbs along with son river walks. First off, they are extremely light and comfortable. Secondly, the Vibram soles had great traction and durability. All around a great boot and comfortable every day shoe.

I've had these for about 5 months now and love them! I've worn them on multiple day hikes (probably close to 100 miles total now) and they are very comfortable and holding up well. I have also had several days of standing on concrete for 6+ hours and they are comfortable there too. I also like that they look a little more casual for around town. I do feel like my feet sweat just a little more due to the waterproofing, but it is not too bad. I also wish they had a brown color slightly darker than the dark earth, but overall these are great boots.

Got this for mountain hiking and other regular hikes. Comfortable and light-weight, and robust, meaning that I feel like my feet are secure. It does look a bit bulky, but I don't care much for that. It did come a bit larger than expected, about a third of an inch, but that turned out to be good because my feet and toes remained comfortable in various push/pull situations, and never really did feel like it was loose.

I initially saw these and reflected back on a pair of hiking boots I owned as a younger me with the RED laces! I have had great success with the fit, comfort and style of Merrell and was and am very satisfied! Going to put a few miles on these bad boys later this summer in Ireland.

Strong and very comfortable, weather resistant. Ideal for hiking or walking on rainy weather. I read the reviews and went 1/2 number up and fits perfectly, wide is great (usually struggle here).

Very comfortable, fit is perfect. Can wear all day with ease, look great too! 2nd pair of Merrels, just super impressed with quality, durability and value. Will definitely buy more when the need arises. Highest recommendation.
