On my fifth pair. wear like iron, great in mud and snow, very comfortable.

Recently took these boots out on an Appalachian Trail practice hike three days in December in Vermont and they performed spectacularly. Hiked 33 miles in mud, rain, and snow. Stepped in rivers and holes several times with ample submersion and still did not feel any moisture come through. I left these boots out in the shelters at night when temperatures dropped to about 10 or 15. They had no trouble resuming their normal flexibility despite being frozen in the morning. Planning to take these boots on my January start NOBO Appalachian Trail thru hike. Will update this review after that hike. Boots have endured several other overnight and day hikes as well. I've purchased a second pair to replace at some point along the trail next year. For relevant specs I am 6'3" 206 lb and these are a size 13.

This is the best winter hiking or walking boot out there. I have many boots at home and I can tell you this is #1. This boot is very well made and does not disappoint!!

This is my 5th pair of Phaserbound 2 Tall Waterproof boots or their equivalent. They were all every-day work boots for a forester in all sort of conditions. I was only disappointed in one pair that squeaked with every step. Tried to wear them out, I failed. I have a year in those swamp weary squeakers. Still wearing 'em and they are quiet under water.

Great boots, especially because of the all leather feature and the rugged grip soles.

Quality just in the knick of time.I wore my new Phaserbound 2 while going to unload debris at the dump.The attendant backed me up and when I went to dump open the gate to the trailer # inches of water couldn't stop me.Love these boots!

I live in Massachusetts and my son lives in Colorado so I left my 5 year old phaser 2 in Colorado and bought the new ones for home.

Fit just right, waterproof, and delivered as promised. Great boots and I will buy again when I wear these out.

Bought these boots in 2016. Have hiked 4 days with them on the AT, 120 miles at Philmont (Sierra del Sangre NM), and seven Colorado 14ers. The fit is the same as when I got them, the sole is still in incredible shape for the number of boulder fields they've covered, and the waterproofing is still great.

Love these boots. I'm a 64 year old bricklayer and this is my 4th pair of Merrell Phaserbound boots . I average 10,0000 steps per day and these are the best boots I have found for comfort and wear.

I have two pairs of these i like em so much. They are great hiking in the rockies and also in the desert southwest. Also use a a work boot around the house. Haven't found a terrain yet that these boots can't handle. Very comfortable and durable.

I wear my Merrells every day. From 8 hours on my feet in a medical facility, to working around the farm mowing the lawn in the summer or shoveling snow in the winter, these are the only boots I will wear.

Wore the boots on a trip to Iceland. The boots were very comfortable, warm and waterproof. Even with ice conditions, the boots were very stable.

I bought these boots in the early spring of 2021 and instantly put them to the test. I am an avid hiker and backpacker, and have a very active job that includes a lot of time spent walking on trails. The first pair I ordered had a small defect (the toe cap wasn't completely sealed, meaning the left boot wasn't waterproof) so I informed Merrell and (kudos to them!) they instantly replaced the boots, giving me a fresh start with a new pair. In the first several weeks with the new boots, I hiked over 200 miles, including rugged miles in NH's White Mountains and in the peaks of Grand Teton National Park. I am pleased to say that the boots held up perfectly well, and retained their waterproofing perfectly. I have now had the boots for over 6 months, and I have hiked well over 500 miles on them, from high peaks to long, wet slogs. These boots have been excellent. The leather and tread has endured, and the comfort has only gotten better with time. If Merrell keeps making them, I'll be buying another pair when these wear out! Overall a great boot, and a great company that stands behind its products.

I've been wearing these now for about 3 or 4 weeks. They compare very favorably with 2 different brands of Italian made hiking boots which have been my go-to. In fact I like the Phaserbound 2 Tall Waterproof so much, I've ordered more. (I wear hiking boots most days here in the Appalachians.)

Great boots. I had the original version and this one has a lot of improvements where the original fell short. Fell short is a relative term because the originals lasted for probably 1k miles so I have high expectations for these.

Love'em, great support. While they might not be official tree climbing boots, they still keep me comfortable and well footed out on a limb.

So I bought these boots literally over a year ago and granite and I'll wear them every day but I wear them a lot and they are literally I think the best pair of boots I've ever owned in my entire life I'm 60 years old and tough on boots but these are the best I've had.

Great pheasant hunting boot! I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable boot that can go miles.

I have this pair & have put many miles on them hiking & camping w/o issue. A little on the heavy side, but comfortable. I have been wearing Merrell for a few years & always have at least 2 pair, one for work & the other for play. This pair of Phaserbound I have was sent to me as a replacement after a couple nylon eyelets wore out after 2 years of use & many many miles. I've used Merrell hiking Taylor Canyon, CO, GSM, Yellowstone, Hoosier NF & many other state parks. They stand by their product & I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Taken these on 10-18 mile hikes in the Adirondack mountains. Excellent grip in a wide range of conditions, excellent resistance to mud, water and slop. Very comfortable for long days on the trail.

I wore out my Phaserbounds and needed new boots. I ordered these for my hikes in northern New Hampshire and western Maine and couldn't be happier. My feet feel great after a long day or traversing rocks and dense roots. I highly recommend these boots for outdoor adventures.
