The design isn't ideal. Rubbed a blister on my heel. The toe area doesn't have good water drainage. I have to buy something else to replace these. Doubtful I would buy Merrell water shoes again.

This shoes is a disappointment from Merrel a company known for their outdoor and camping shoes. I was hoping to use these for kayaking which would be fine if you didn't actually land anywhere that might sandy, had pebbles or was marshy because the shoes would fill up with those things. In mucky areas you end up playing "statue" as the shoes hold your feet down, I felt like leaving them the in mud. They are however capable of going up a rocky stream, it's just the getting to the rocky stream that is the problem.

I bought these for fishing on wet boats and rocks. Pros: Great looking, comfortable. Feet felt great after standing 8 hours on a pitching boat. (Except as noted below) Cons: SIZING. I took the advice from reviews and ordered one size down. Still too big. Felt okay dry, but as soon as they got wet, the moc gripped the surface but my foot kept going, turning the shoe sideways and splitting the web between two of the holes. Lucky I didn't roll my ankle, but it makes me worry about durability and safety. I really want these to work, so I'm considering re-ordering TWO sizes down to see if that is snug enough to prevent sliding without cramping my toes.

I bought these to use for fishing on slippery boats, jetties and shorelines. They LOOK spectacular. They are very comfortable. 8 hours standing up on a pitching boat deck and my feet were not sore or fatigued. SIZING is an issue. I followed the advice of others abs ordered one size down. I usually wear 12, ordered these in 11, and they are still too big. It's OK around the house, and quite comfortable. The real problem occurs when they get wet. After a few splashes on the boat, I planted my foot to avoid a toothy fish. The Moc gripped well and stayed put while my slippery foot kept going in the oversized shell. I caught myself without rolling an ankle, but the force of the slip split the web between two of the holes. That makes me concerned for safety and longevity in the role for which I purchased them. I may try buying another pair in size 10, two whole sizes down from normal. I'm hoping that will be snug enough to prevent slips without cramping my toes. I will update this review if that happens, as I really want these things to work. They look so much cooler than my regular wet fishing shoe!

I typically wear a size 10 1/2 shoe. I saw that these were on the larger side, so I purchased a size 10. The Hydro Mocs I received are comparable to about an 11 1/2 in actual shoe sizing. They are GIGANTIC. I have no idea what they are doing to come up with sizing that is so divorced from reality, but be warned, your regular shoe size is very unlikely to fit properly. I was planning to use these for kayaking or other activities in and around water. With the sizing so completely off, I can't wear them, it would be dangerous for me to wear these in any situation in which my feet would be wet because they would slide around inside the shoes way too much. Unfortunately I was out of town for several weeks when these arrived and missed the exchange deadline; the shoes are completely useless to me.

Fits a little loose and the material construction is a little soft. I'm not sure what the intended purpose of this product is. To be a good water shoe it should feel a little more durable while staying light.

These are my seventh pair of Merrell shoes, and the first I have been disappointed with. After less than ten minutes, terrible painful blisters formed on my heels. I will probably have to cut the backs off and use them like c r o c s.

I've owned and enjoyed many pairs of Merrell shoes over the years. I had great expectations for these shoes. I wanted something to wear while gardening that I could use while barefoot, moving in and out of the dirt. With the slightest bit of moisture, even just my slightly sweaty feet, they became dangerously slippery for me. Forget about watering my plants/garden, as even a couple steps proved treacherous. The Merrell website suggested they run small, so I ordered accordingly. When I somehow managed to keep my feet dry enough to wear them, they gave me blisters. I still love the brand, and just ordered a pair of trail runners. These were a total dud in my experience.

Bought this based on the suggestion of some YT influencer. It injured the heel of my feet. Very uncomfortable. Been three weeks since I returned them and the wound is still there because the cuts were so deep. My socks were soaked in blood as I was running late for my meeting and ran in these. When I tried to return these, they mentioned they can't be returned as you've worn them. Worst experience. I wish I could rate these even lower. There's a design flaw in these Hydro mocs, the back lift of the shoe is gonna hurt you so bad, I can't explain. I want to add the photos with my injury and bleeding heel but it may be graphic which I feel will lead to them hiding my review.

Terrible.. I wear a size 15. I walked around my home for and hour with them on. They put pinpoint pressure on the outside ankle bone. I woke up this morning feeling like they are brused. Horrible won't not recommend even for prisonors. Look like elf shoes in person too. Returning shortly

They look much different online than in person. In person they look like they are water shoes.

I looked at these shoes for months and finally pulled the trigger. I'm a big fan of my other Merrell products so I had high expectations for these. Mostly I was looking forward to wearing them on an upcoming trip to Hawaii for some light hiking and beach walking. Unfortunately, after I received them, I went for a 10 minute walk and was bleeding on both of my heels from the cup rubbing at the top. I did some research and found a few other reviews of that happening online. Wanting to still love them, I cut the heel cups down so they they did not angle as much inward to rub my heel. First problem solved. Excited to try them again I took them for another walk around the neighborhood after my heels healed all the way. Unfortunately, within 10 minutes they had created a rub spot on the side of one of my feet. Heel was fine. So it seems no matter what these are going to cause sore spots on my feet. Super bummed about it because I wanted so badly for them to be the amazing shoe that the other reviews had me looking forward to.

Took me a few months to notice. I always thought it would have been something else because I never knew shoe allergy is a thing. But apparently everytime I wear them for an extended period of time the top of my feet where it makes most contact with would itch for days after. My feet have these white dry looking spots that are very itchy. Only have them everytime now after wearing the Olive hydro Moc for most of the day. I love these shoes and think they look great but so disappointed that I will be forced to switch to something else.

Was super excited to get these! Not so excited anymore. Blisters all over the back of my ankles. Terrible design that digs into your skin in the back that is WAY too high. Would never recommend.

Shoes are not designed for water. Although the shoes fit, when I walked for a short distance on the beach in water the rubbery texture with the open rubbed blisters on my feet.

There is a reason Crocs don't have a heal cup. I don't think I had much skin left after a 1 mile walk across flat terrain
