I initially ordered this hoodie in the Medium and swapped for the Small. With the right fit this piece is now a hiking staple. Great piece for your layering system and perfect protection against sun exposure. It will definitely save you when making long treks across snowfields on a sunny day. If you don't already have a sun hoodie, this is a great item to add to your hiking gear lineup.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the hoodie! Breathable and comfortable. I usually wear a Small but I wear in XS in OR tops especially with looser fitting material like the echo line. Would def recommend!

I don't usually wear sun shirts but I decided to give it a go on a warm backpacking trip and the echo was perfect. Light, breezy, comfortable. I can't say I used the hood, but if I did, I would definitely stick my pony tail through the hood...because I can.

I took this item with me to hike in the Appalachian Mountains-- definitely a stylish, comfortable, thin, and overall ideal part of my hiking attire. Would definitely recommend!

This shirt is very light and extremely comfortable. You'd think a long-sleeve shirt in the sun would be a summer killer, but this one feels lighter than air. Nicely done, Outdoor Research.

Until I discovered Echo Hoodie, I would wear tank tops to keep cool and got sunburn. This hoodie is way more cooling that any tank top I ever wore. It's also wicking, so I sweat less and it protects me from sun, scratches, bites. The fit is great - I'm on the larger side and some OR tops feel tight. This hoodie fits perfectly, not too lose and not too tight. My favorite summer hiking top for sure.

This shirt if great I mostly use it for mountain biking, where I want to avoid the sun. The shirt is airy enough that breeze gets through, so I stay cool. I have worn it probably a dozen times already. It does have a snag in it already, but I tend to wear out close quickly so not sure if this is more about me or the shirt.

I love this top for it sun protection while feeling light and airy. Great for hot-weather hiking, biking, water activities, etc. No need for sunscreen! I have bought multiples because I wear it often.

This shirt is amazing! It is very very thin and breathable. I wore it on a hot trail run the other day and it kept me cool and while protecting me from poison oak and a sunburn. All OR things fit a little big so while I wear an S in most brands, I wear XS in OR and this shirt fit true to other OR items. My only complaint is that there are no thumb holes and maybe that the cuff on the sleeve is a little tight so it makes it hard to pull the sleeves up. Otherwise this is the perfect sun hoody for outdoor pursuits.

This hoodie is BY FAR my most favorite hiking shirt. It's light, breathable, fits perfectly, and let's be honest - the hole for my pony tail is a genius detail. I love everything about this shirt and highly recommend it to everyone who spends even the shortest amount of times outdoors. My hikes are longer, and this shirt keeps the sun and bugs off me, while keeping me cool. The fact that the sleeves turn into mittens has proven to be invaluable to me as well. Honestly, buy this shirt for yourself and all your friends... it's totally and completely worth it.

I wear this Eco Hoodie for up to a week at time while guiding in the Utah desert. It provides me sun protection (including hands) while being breathable and not making it noticeable that I haven't showered in two weeks!
