Love the restyled Ferrosi pants, with angled front pocket openings and leg bottoms (no more cinch cord). So, these are styled more for casual wear, for instance, the OR logo is small now and at the hip, not halfway down the leg in large letters. The right leg pocket is now parallel to the belt line, not the leg seam line. What I MISS are the zippered back pockets, which gave me a great deal of security for travel and for camping--don't have to worry about the wallet flying out. So, I'm glad that I have four other pairs with the cinch cord (can beat that for hiking) and the zippered pockets. But I will say that, for casual wear, the new styling if very sharp.

I've been wearing loose-goosey, unflattering hiking pants for years, for all manner of activities (hiking, climbing, cycling, etc.). But it looks like I've finally found some pants that don't make me look like nerdlord supreme with the Ferrosi pants. Slim, but not tight, just stretchy enough, sizing was perfect (I got a 32 long, I'm 6'3" and 190). Thank you, OR, for making such a great pant at a competitive price point.
So far they repel water and wind quite well - haven't really pushed the durability boundaries yet so can't speak to that aspect of them.

I've owed several pairs of Ferrosi Pants and needed a new pair. The sizing on the pants hasn't changed but the cut/design has. I use these for spring ski touring and the new cut with the super narrow cuff will not fit over my ski boots. They are also missing the draw cord in the cuff. I liked the thigh pocket change but didn't like the removal of the zipper on the back pockets.
Sizing-I'm 73" tall, 190# and usually wear a 32-33 waist. I ended up having to purchase 34" in these so I had some room in the legs but now the waist is large, I ended up adding some elastic in the waist to keep them up without a belt.
These pants block just the right amount of wind, still breath and dry quickly. They also stretch just enough.

I love these pants in the field. They are extremely comfortable and lightweight. These pants have proved to be more durable than they may seem, they have consistently held up against abrasion and abuse out hiking and on rock walls.

The first time I tried these pants, I was impressed by the fit and feel! I love the 24/7 and the Voodoo pants, but I think I just found my new favorite outdoor pant. The first chance I got to put these pants to the test, I spent 5.5 hours of plowing through brush (anywhere from knee to chest high) and navigating swamps in humid 80 degree weather. My buddy actually wore shorts and small game style brush chaps... These pants took everything I threw at them, they protected my legs and still looked as good as new after a quick wash! I still don't know if I'd want to plow through a field of multiflora rose, but still, I was more than impressed. The only complaint that I would even bring up, is that these pants fit about 2" longer per size than the 24/7 and Voodoo pants. I usually wear a regular length, but I had to purchase a short length to accommodate my typical fit.

Once I tried these pants on I didn't want to take them off. I wore them traveling to the North Shore of Lake Superior, then on two hikes along the shore. Just left them on to go out for dinner.
Lightweight, extremely comfortable.
I'm going to order more in other colors.

Love these things. I've used them for fishing, hiking, and just casual wear. They stretch well and dry very fast. Being 6-3 it's tough to find pants that are long enough, and these ones fit perfectly!

Very lightweight and breathable. Fits nice the waist does stretch and become big so a belt will be helpful. Very water resistant and dries very fast.

Amazing Pants! I bought two pairs and have used them paddle boarding, hiking, running, cycling, bouldering, casually out and to work. The mobility of the pants is fantastic, even contorted in strange positions climbing the face of rocks they didn't give me any feeling of restriction. For paddling, I took them out early morning in the coastal waters off northern Washington in 50 degree weather before sunrise and paired them with some light long underwear. Even being wet from walking the board out, the pants still kept me warm by blocking out the wind.
If you're looking for pants that are durable, functional, mobile and look good, these are a great choice.

I have the original Ferrosi pants and loved them but they were too short for my 6"1' height. These are perfect! They are thin, breathe well and are very stretchy. I love and live in them. I bought two pairs and use them excessively. Great pants just wish the tiny zippered pocket on the leg was bigger.

THESE PANTS! Where have they been all my life? I bought them in all 3 colors and may re-order them all again because I just love the way they feel and look. SO comfortable.

I love these pants! I have two pairs and recently used them for travel in South Korea during some rainy and windy conditions and I am very impressed with their DWR feature! I didn't get wet or feel clammy at all and we were walking in some pretty heavy rain. My Friend's "other" brand pants started seeping water in half way through our walk and he asked me what pants I had and I told him and he said that he'd order some as soon as he could. Paired with the OR Foray jacket I couldn't have been more comfortable during that trip!

The Ferrosi pants have really set a new standard for me. Within a month of owning them(the previous model) they became the first thing I packed for weekend trips and often were worn both days. I climbed over 40 weekends last year, probably 80% of those climbs were in these pants and they only have one very very small sign of wear on the right side pocket where my phone sits. The fit is perfect, the stretch and range of motion they give is excellent and the durability is amazing.
New model improvements - Back pockets on right and left side now, slightly lighter feeling and more breathable
New model cons - my favorite right knee pocket is now too small to fit my phone in, making it tough to carry with my harness on. This is a critical feature for me as I want my phone on me and easily accessible while climbing.
Sizing- I'm 6'0" 182, my street size is 32x34, I bought these in a 32 long. They are slightly loose at the waist but do not fall down without a belt. The trim allows for good flexibility and movement. The long version is noticeably longer then the standard version and I don't think my socks ever show now, even on really high steps.
Bottom line these are a great pair of pants for rock climbing.

This product has been pretty awesome so far. I work for a large agency in the mid south and it gets pretty humid and sticky. Range days are a lot cooler with these pants. As far as durability, we will see. Sizing isn't too big of an issue, but if you have an athletic build, maybe size up for thigh room.

Used these on my first trad lead climb. Loved these pants, they provided great mobility for high stepping and felt strong rubbing against rock.

Headline says it all. Another great product from OR. Love the material and the style of these pants as well as how packable they are. Super comfortable and superior performance in hot weather.
Very versatile pants and could even pass for dress pants other than the cargo pocket. Would have personally preferred a similar cargo pocket like on the Wadi-Rum Pants. (Very streamlined and discreet). Think that style of pocket would work great on these, as these are such a nice looking pant.
With that said, I highly recommend these pants to anyone looking for lightweight, breathable, wind/rain resistant and sharp looking pants. Just ordered another pair myself. BTW, I wear a 30" inseam and the sizing is on the money.
