The jacket is good however it runs bigger and the sleeve is super long.

I was so excited when North Face brought back the 1990 jacket. I have been wearing my original since the 90's and needed a replacement. Unfortunately this new one isn't as warm as my original, which I still have. The black portion of the jacket isn't Gore Tex because the material looks and feels different from the colored portion (vs. the black part of my original jacket which IS Gore Tex). I could feel the wind through my shoulders. While this might be OK for wearing around town, not 100% wind-proof is a bigger deal for avid skiers used to minus zero degrees and wind chill at the top of a mountain. Guess I'll keep looking for that perfect Gore Tex ski shell.

As mentioned in the summary, the are two types of 1990 Mountain Jackets. I received the product after waiting months for stock to be replenished. After searching for the 1990 and seeing a duplicate storefront page for the Aztek Blue Mountain Jacket, it felt it "came back" in stock. I hurriedly ordered, failing to notice the NF0A3XCO was not the NF0A3JPA, and that mine was a lite "New Arrival". The prime difference between the two is weight and the theoretical warmth the bulkier one would provide over the lighter one I ordered. The two need different naming conventions. After all that, I learnt I am too small for the medium. Prior to ordering, I verified the Fit Finder and had confirmation it would be a good fit. I did not expect the sleeves to come out 3-4 inches inches past my palm ending before the tips of my digits. To keep the sleeves from falling past my wrists, I had to resort to tying the cuffs tightly beyond the point of comfort. That caused unnecessary chaffing around the wrists, and bulkiness bending at the elbow. It's a shame, but them's the shakes. I will be returning it. Not even sure the smaller one is worthwhile considering the Sizing Chart is 0.5inch shorter on the sleeves...
