Very lightweight material. Awesome in the sun.

I love my hat!!! I love to walk the beaches, parks and my neighnorhood. I live in Florida with intense heat, sun rays, high humidy so my new hat helps protect me.

I was looking for a cap that I could use during backpacking to block out the sun and rain. The bill is a little longer for that purpose. This cap is not bulky/stiff which feels comfortable while wearing and I can pack it easily in my backpack and not worry about weird wrinkles when I put it back on because of the lightweight material. It also has this stylish look as well. My favorite cap!

Super lightweight and breathable. I bought it a few years ago, and after extended use (daily for a couple years) it developed a sweat stain on the top of the hat that would not come out...my only complaint, but I probably should have washed it more often. Because of this I tried buying another, but they were no longer being made. I'm very excited they are back! You will not regret buying this hat!

I purchased one of your hats several years ago in a retail store, and have not been able to find more. I tried your site with crossed fingers in hope that what I was ordering was the same quality and material of my previous purchase. I paired the Coolhead Ballcap with a Freezer Zero Neck Gaiter for a Caribbean fishing trip and the results were excellent. Together they kept the sun off and kept me cool and dry. The generous headband and it's hook and loop adjustment allowed the bill/visor to sit low and provide plenty of shade on my face. All that was needed was a small amount of strategically placed SPF 30 sun screen to prevent sun burn. This gear made for a great trip!

This is now my go to hat for playing tennis. I live in Arizona, and play tennis year around. I purchased a white hat for the summer, and it did a great job keeping my head comfortable. I usually wear a lg/xl fitted nfl cap, but this one really conforms to my large skull. It is made of a light, breathable fabric. Just purchased a second one because the first one is so great. The bill of the cap is a little smaller than my others, but it's not a deal breaker.

I now have 3 Hats, they all wear well and are great on the beach, golfing or for any outside activity. The hat's maintain shape and color after machine washing..

I picked up a similar hat at a fishing store and really liked how much cooler it stayed than the typical all cotton hat in the sun. Decided to give the Columbia PFG hats a try since I love the shirts and have found this hat is considerably more comfortable to wear for long periods of time in the sun than any of my other hats. Haven't had a chance to test the stain resistance yet but am otherwise quite satisfied.

You may think this is "just a cap" but I find it very comfortable and feminine -- and I RARELY wear a "baseball cap!"

Lightweight & great sun protection for a balding head! I've had a touch of skin cancer on my forehead and don't want any more. This hat does it's job, and it's lightweight fabric is cooling as you wear it. I wear it at the beach (when doing tai chi), while hunting, and anytime I'm in the sun.

It's 108 degrees in Thailand today and this hat keeps my head cool and sweat off my face. I've compared this hat with other brands and I can truely tell a difference.

Very comfortable hat that will keep you cool and keep the sun off your face. Thin material helps you forget it's even on.

I love this hat. Thae fabric is stretchy but not too much. Feels great on my head. Wish the hook and loop closure was a little softer since some of it is exposed against my head when wearing. OVerall great hat.

This hat is very cool, and wicks moisture away from your head. You hardly realize you have it on, and does a great job of shading the sun.

Took this hat out for some summer river bassin in South GA. My head stayed cool and dry all day.

I visited the Columbia factory outlet in Vegas and checked out sun block and moisture wicking hat models. The black Coolhead Ball Cap was my favorite: comfortable, great fit on my medium bean and an uncluttered design reminiscent of a tactical squad cap. There were several similar ball cap designs but this one stood out because "Columbia" was not emblazon across the front. A tiny offset graphic logo was used instead. The micro fiber fabric is ultra soft and stretches for a slim and fitted look. It's so lightweight it's easy to forget you're wearing a hat. For my 7.25 hat size the Velcro adjustment strip needed to be adjusted slightly larger than the smallest position, so plenty of adjustment for larger heads. I put the Coolhead to the test during several days of wandering around the Vegas Strip in triple digit summer heat. I figured the claim of using moisture from your head to cool the cap was corporate chuck 'n jive. Amazingly, the cooling feature worked extremely well and despite it being black. My head was cool but the rest of my body was really hot! I should check into Columbia's Omni-Freeze ZERO shirts... And, yes, no sunburn on my bean, plenty of glare cutting bill coverage and hands down the lightest and coolest hat I've owned, whipping heat grabbing cotton caps silly. The Coolhead is a wonderful hat for summer travel, hiking and yard work.

This hat truly does keep you cool! Highly recommend for anyone who spends time outdoors. When I get hot, I simply put it in the cooler for a few minutes then put it back on. It keeps me cool for hours!

I love this hat. It is very light weight, and the fabric is breathable. But the best part is that it fits/molds to your head right away, and doesn't leave the crowned look of traditional caps.

These hats are just what I have been looking for for a decade, They fit so well. They are light on my head, not bulky. The sizing is such a great thing, for I have a small head and fine thin hair. Difficult to fit with normal hats, Thank you.
