I like the way this hat is simple and doesn't detract from what I'm wearing. But I didn't like that the sweat stains were hard to remove.

We have not gotten to the real heat of our Texas summer, but the couple times I have worn the cap, it has kept my head much cooler.

This hat is wonderfully lightweight and the thin synthetic material wicks perspiration efficiently. The two panel seams on either side of the bill are double stitched or some type of stiffening material has been added about half the length of the seam. The front to stands up a bit causing the material in the body of the hat to collapse behind it, creating an odd profile, neither a structured hat nor a "dad" hat.

Cap arrived in a bag that crushed it. It does cool when worn but not stylish!

I wear hats frequently for running and live in Florida. Unfortunately, this hat did not provide any sort of cooling feature and not very good at catching or wicking sweat. It is very soft and comfortable but I was disappointed for using it during running.

Awesome cap and they fit my rather large head perfectly BUT . . . , when they arrive with a soil mark already on them, I'm disappointed (it's hard enough to keep a white cap clean). I have the same cap in most of the other colors including another white one and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable, easily packable cap - it's just this is the first time Columbia apparel hasn't delivered something I absolutely love.

This hat came in a wonderful bring blue turquoise color. Very pretty. The thinness of the hat proved well for packing and for hot summer days but I definitely could not tell a difference with that Omni freeze technology.

The light fabric and terrific headband are exactly what I was looking for in a hot-weather ball cap, this will definitely keep your head as cool as possible while wearing a cap in the sun. But I found the cut of the cap a bit strange...at least for my head. You can adjust the circumference with the back velcro strap, but the hat seems too deep (or tall) for my head. In other words, there is a bunch of fabric left at the top when I put it on...if I pull it down to snug over my head, the sides come down over my ears. I've never had that issue with a ball cap before. Other than that, this is a perfect hot weather ball cap.

Runs small. The marketing hype and price never match the quality of the product. Have a similar Columbia baseball cap from a couple of years ago that needed replacing. This one was similar in material but not fit.

Product was shipped in a bag (not a box) all flattened out.

Very disappointed, the cap is huge, even on my large (7-2/3) head! It also did not keep my head "cool".

Why, oh why, did Columbia take away the women's sun protective ball cap that actually fit my small 21 inch head?? I can only hope that these reviews will persuade them to bring it back! As others have said, it is possible to make the velcro closure tight enough & have the end stick out, but the body of the hat itself feels so large compared to my older Columbia women's ball caps. I loved the dark blue (nocturnal) color, but gave it to my husband as it was just so big.

The one size is too big for me. I received it quite a wrinkled cap.

This hat is possibly great for men and those with larger heads. I'm a 5'2" woman, and I could not adjust the back so it was snug enough, and even still, the crown part was too large that it fit too low down on my brow.

would be fine but the stiff side of the velcro on the clasp pokes into my skin

This was nothing like the picture. I usually love all Columbia hats, however, this one was floppy and not like the crisp one in the picture. The bill was not very good and I will be returning it.

I bought two of these hats because I live outdoors in the summer months, hiking, fishing etc...and these do not keep anything cool. I bought them because I really like the other omni freeze things I have. Disappointed for sure and out money. As a regular hat it's fine.

Seemed like it made my head hotter, heavier, the older style Columbia hats I've been using for years seemed cooler. Bulkier looking around the rim, didn't like the way it looked. Sorry Columbia, love your stuff but this didn't work for me. Have been wearing your hats working in a hot kitchen for years and expected more reading the reviews.

I am reviewing the omni freeze ice hat which I have worn only 15 to 20 times and I don't know if they still make this model. One side of the velcro strap which is made from soft rubber has completely disintegrated

I bought two of these caps; one in gray and one in pink hibiscus. They are attractive hats. However, the strap is not done correctly. The hard, scratchy part of the hook & loop tape is facing inward, toward the scalp and neck. On my other hats (new era and no-name's) the scratchy part faces outward, where it will not snag the hair or scrape the scalp. I have ordered hook & loop tape to attach a piece to the exposed backing. With this type of basic design flaw, I just can't recommend these hats.

If I had the chance to give no stars I would give this hat that due to the deceptive marketing of this product. This is the hottest, sweat inducing cap I have ever worn. And I have numerous "dry" caps. DO NOT BUY THIS HAT.

Did not like this ball cap. It runs very large. Seems "flimsy".

The past two hats I have received in the mail in soft packaging have been wrinkled and look shabby.

Just received 9 Coolhead ball caps that I ordered. They were shipped in a sack instead of a cardboard box and they were totally flat when they arrived. The hat bills were smashed flat with no curvature. Ball caps should be shipped in a box as not to destroy their shape. I love these hats and have ordered dozens of them over the years. Please do not ruin the hat by shipping in a bag.
