Been able to test this guy out in a few challenging situations and have to say I am really impressed. I hate slathering sun screen and love the idea of the sun hoody but in my experience you suffer when there is no wind - they feel muggy. The Deflector has a some distinct advantages over the others. The reflective dots help slow the heating of the fabric essentially keeping you cooler to begin with under the same beating sun. Once you do begin to perspire, the Omni-Freeze is a subtle technology and gently and effectively counteracts the sweating process. Overall the fabric feels more breathable and "open" than my go-to sun shirt from another well-known maker, even using the neck-gaiter it didn't begin to stick to my skin and feel muggy. A great piece from perennial innovators!

Product is long which is a great fit for taller (6'1) thinner people. Product is lightweight and comfortable with slightly loose fitting. I am unsure how long the sun reflectiveness will last after a few washes because the fabric is extremely light. It breathes well and the neck gaiter is a cool bonus. I like to wear this playing outside with my friends.

I loved the first PFG sun protection hoodie I got from Columbia. It should be worn out by now but the quality is there. The only thing, that I find true with many of my Columbia gear, is the color does eventually fade from the sun. So I ordered this newer version, the Terminal Deflector Hoodie. The fabric is smoother, and it's a bit tighter at the cuffs. The thumb holes are new, but the sleeves have to be longer for that to work. The main thing is the picture doesn't show that it is not a solid color. It's covered with small white dots (I supposed the "deflectors"). It's fine on my daughter's hombre blue/pink top as it's less noticeable, but the gray is actually black with white dots. It's noticeably distracting, and a little dizzying when I look at my arms. I do like the built in neck/face gator, especially since I lost my last neck gator. It's easy to breath through so I don't fog up my sunglasses. I would like the hood to be slightly longer to cover the end of my cap. That helps keep it from blowing off in the wind. All in all I'd say stay away from the black color and don't count on using the thumb holes is you have normal length arms and this should last a long time and do it's job.

Don't know about this yet Got two one. Test just one I guess. Has an inside don't have to wear under shirt. Supposed to be cool use in extreme heat gonna 100 on Monday going biking. We'll find out if it works. Don't know.

Really great shirt for hot days. The built in buff is awesome for covid mask. Take care washing this. It pitted and pulled threads after one light wash. Very disappointed considering the price tag of this product. A real bummer

But returned it. The quality and material is excellent it was the hood that was the issue. Bought this for my husband to finish the PTC, if it ever opens post covid, but the hood was so large and long he couldn't use it. He is a skin cancer survivor and wears head coverings because he is beautifully bald. But it you aren't worried about the hood then it is an excellent sun protector. It's the quality you would expect and the price is more than fair

Very disappointed that the biggest this version comes in is 2xl. No other version of hooded shirt has all the components that's this does. Such as omni freeze, built in neck gaitor, omni shade amongst others all in one shirt. It's a great shirt , just wish it fit.

Sizing was off. Also the material is highly reflective. This is not captured on the image or properly described.

The fabric is great at first, but really holds the stink eventually. Also big reason why I gave 2 stars for this product cause the gaiter was very loose. I couldn't really even use it and the arms where to short, even though its a large and the torso length was perfect. so idk what was up with that but not cool, I would of returned it but I just gave it to my girlfriend, her arms are not as long. I like the hooded pfg sun shirts I have a bunch but be careful ordering these, be prepared to return.

Nowhere, including the website, says that this garment has zinc pyrithione, it's only listed on the Spanish language garment care/material label inside the shirt. On top of that, the fit is really odd...sleeves and shoulders are short and tight but the body is large.

this shirt feels like it's made of plastic. You can't tell this online but in person it's very clear it's unusual material. I've never seen anything like it before and don't care for it at all

The hoodie picture wasn't close to the actual product. It had a shine to it. And looked plastic. In addition, seemed like it would t stand up.
