Over the past several years I've tried (too) many running shoes. The best I've had are New Balance. I was trying to replace an old pair of NB 850. The 680v6 is not a replacement for the 850, however, it's a good feeling shoe that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a next-best running shoe. The stability is quite good and cushioning is good (not too cushiony; i.e., I can feel my foot-plants which adds to stability--a plus for me). The shoes lace securely with good cushioning from tightened laces, I tend to overtighten mine. I mostly walk in mine, and this is proving to be a good shoe for those of us who walk for exercise.

I've been buying New Balance 7.5 4E shoes for the past few years and have never had a problem until this shoe. Both of the my big toes rub against the side of the shoe and I know that if I get a half-size bigger, the shoe will be too long.

I need a wide shoe and these fit well. As a burgeoning runner, I think the ride is pretty good but not as cushioned as I need. But that’s also because my technique isn’t very good. The style is nice as well- not too “dad vibe” as some NB can be.

Smaller than expected in both length and width. They have some give and are pretty comfortable, so I'll keep them and see how it goes. I've never had a pair of New Balance shoes that didn't work out.

Love the look, comfort, and value! Only thing lacking is arch support (I have flat feet) but will add inserts. Great sneaks.

Like these shoes for the price but I have very wide feet (4E) and usually always get New Balance shoes because they offer the wide fit, and these are 4E but are a lot tighter then past shoes I've ordered. If you're usually 4E you may want to go up a size either in width or half size in length.

I really like the way these look and feel. I went running with them twice and found them to be light, breathable, and very comfortable.Yet they feel solid. The fit and size were true, although some of the reviews claim these run small. I would agree to a slight extent but not enough for my feet to feel crowded in the least.

Good shoe - Great value. Sizing (both length and width) are true as advertised. Arch support and cushioning are just OK. Style is very good - I got the Black and White sneaker, which can go with pretty much anything. Pricing was excellent.

The soles are thick, cushy, comfy and supportive. The mesh material hugs your feet closely, so if that's something you like, these may work for you. The wide didn't seem very wide.

This is a nice shoe, however its extremely light and the material doesn't feel strong, I am returning it as it doesn't feel like it will be durable.

Fit and size are great. If you aren't used to a wider shoe it does take time to adjust (felt a bit loose). Support also feels great. Style and quality of materials is good, however the mesh feels fragile and the foam seems to attract dirt. I plan on taking them on some light hiking trails to better judge their durability.

The New Balance 680v6 feels like wearing the best pair of socks I've ever owned. The seamless inner lining of the shoe is smooth and silk, and padded tongue and collar adds to that plushness while still supporting my Achilles. The only drawback of this shoe would be the poor medial support. There's no arch support to speak of and the shoe is somehow widest at the midfoot, somehow, so any sort of lateral motion feels a little unstable, compared to previous New Balance sneakers. If you're the kind of person who only runs on a treadmill, or (like me) wears a pair running shoes just for walking around, these will totally be fine, but if you run out in the real world, where the pitch of the road or sidewalk can put you at a slant, I'd watch your ankles.

The shoe was too big in the toe box. When I laced them up, the material bunched up above the toes. There doesn't seem to be any lateral support, so they are not ideal for side lunges or jumping jacks. It would be a good shoe if just doing high knees or quick feet--anything vertical. The open weave material on the outside allows good air movement, so your feet won't overheat during a workout. But this weak material was a major contributor to lack of stability. I ended up getting an all leather shoe for the stability, and I deal with the foot sweat. If I were worried about breathability with stability, I would look into a good running shoe.

These are my first real running shoes so maybe they are suppose to fit a bit snugger than I am used to but they felt good when I ran in them. I will definitely buy these again but I think I will try the next bigger size.

I wear size 11, 4E in Nike and Asics. These were a little narrower, but the real problem was the height of the shoe above the footbed. The top of the shoe showed the outline of my toes, just as a sock would. Very tight!

After two pairs of an older NB Fresh Foam shoe that was discontinued, I tried a pair of 680v6 in the same size -- 11.5, and in the closest available width -- 4EE. I was very pleased with the fit when I first tried them, thinking the mesh fabric would stretch a bit and conform to my feet. After wearing them for a few days I was disappointed to find that the mesh does not stretch as I had hoped, and the overall fit was just a bit too snug. I returned these and am waiting for the next larger size. If the replacements fit as expected, I will be very happy with this design. The construction and materials are excellent, and should hold up until the soles are worn out from use.

The Good: Fit great, the width & size are on point. Toe box is very good. Love the color & style, happy to have something other than black or grey in a 4e shoe. They look good! The Bad: I find them firm & not plush or responsive, just stiff, kind of feel like boots. I'll keep them to walk around in, but not for running in. Like I said, I like them & will keep them, but just for everyday purposes around the house & city.

Purchased these for my partner in a 9 EE. He liked that the shoe felt light, but supportive and was stylish. Unfortunately the insole wasn't as wide as the shoe was, so there was a small gap that ran along the side of the shoe. Had the shoe not had this defect, we would have kept them. Maybe if he wasn't in a wide size this wouldn't have been an issue.

I don’t know what is happening with NB, I ordered 12 too small ordered 13 exactly the same as 12! The width certainly not 4E. They used to be consistent with their sizes now it’s not even close. Sad.
