I am leaving a review because another purchaser's review helped me find this shoe and I hope to do the same for someone else! I underpronate (foot rolls outward at take off) so I need a neutral shoe or even one that helps with underpronation, this one does. I also have super high arches and one foot that suffers from plantar fasciitis due to collapsing arch, so I need lots of arch support. I battled a bad case of IT Band knee pain and am trying desperately to find a shoe that will help me correct the way my foot hits the ground. If that even exists!! This shoe is strange in that it has most of its support on the outside side of the foot, almost pushing you toward the center of your stance. This is exactly what I needed, but may feel strange to other people. The heel is made up of a wave plate/spring like contraption. It feels stiff at first, but once you start running it almost propels you forward. The forefoot is plenty squishy, but still responsive. I have only done a few runs in this shoe (and only up to 5 miles long) BUT I had no IT Band pain after any of the runs. I'm sure there is no magic shoe, but this one seems to be helping me so far!! I will update my review if that changes. Two cons for me (although not deal breakers) are that the shoe is pretty heavy. I wish it were lighter. And the laces were way too small for me. I wear arch inserts and had to replace the laces with a generic pair of black ones I bought on Amazon just so I could utilize all of the lace holes on the shoe. I have to lace all the way to the extra hole to get my heel locked down. (I also wish there were more exciting colors available than just black, grey and blue.

These will be someone’s favorite shoes. That person needs support on the outside bottom of the foot (where I am pointing in the picture.) This shoe pushes my feet down towards the middle of my stance while still supporting my arch. This is not what I need but whoever does need support for the outside of the arch or outer bottom heel should buy these at once. They are both comfortable and cute. Wear a size 8.5 got both an 8.5 and a 9; 8.5 is closer to correct than the 9.

I just wanted to leave a note about sizing. I typically wear an 8 in everyday shoes. I usually but an 8.5 in most running shoes. This is the first shoe I had to order a 9 in! But the 9 fits great. Just a heads up.

I have a bad unrelenting Plantar fasciitis in one foot. I wear a half insert for it in both and wear thick Mens socks. That being said ordered a half size up to factor these things in. Perfect fit. Each step feels like you are walking on a matress with the spongyness of all parts of the sole! I can walk now! Too soon to say if I am healing. They are ugly and look like Mens shoes so I am embarrassed to wear with casual office clothes but am forced to. BUY THEM! They are way too expensive I feel.

I have the exact pair, just in a different color. They reached the end of their life mileage-wise so I had to get another pair. Figured I couldn’t go wrong getting them again, just in another color. For some reason, they were too small! Very strange since the pair I had before were perfect. So, returned the new color and got my original color again. Hoping they’ll be good. I’m a longtime Mizuno wearer and it seems like every model/make continues to get smaller, especially in the toe box. Hoping Wave Creation doesn’t follow the path of Wave Prophecy. Gave these a middle of the road review based on the pair I had to return. If reviewing my current pair, there would be 5 stars across the board.

If you underpronate (your feet tend to roll out), these are fantastic! They’re heavy though, which is typical for underpronation shoes. Lots of cushioning and a nice “springy” feel. Just heavy.

These shoes have been my go to for the last 4+ years, i road run 5k a day , and longer on the weekends. I wore these for training and for the whole dopey series at Disney. I have 3 pairs rotation,, the last two generations have broken down easily and quickly at the heels < 100 miles. Contacted without any assistance,, no returns if worn policy, even if you only ran 10 miles and the heel is broken! 4 pair in less than a year!!

I previously had Mizuno Wave Horizon 3 and was in need of a new pair only the new wave horizons aren't the same. I found the wave creation 20 and it is almost a perfect match. The heel support is a softer bounce other than that, exactly the Horizon 3 in my opinion. So happy to have found these. I do not run, only walking.

Have been a runner 40+ years and Asics Gel-Kayano wearer for many of those years. As the Asics became smaller and more narrow and less cushioning I seriously began looking for another brand. This is it. I had never heard of Mizuno but because of Zappos great policy on running shoes I had nothing to lose. Just ran on these for the first time and am hooked. I have a wide-ish foot and they didn't offer Wide but I didn't need it. I also have a high arch. These shoes felt like I was running on sponge. So glad I found these!

I have been wearing Mizuno for years and although the shoe is comfortable. I much prefer the previous wave design. Please bring back the full sole air space like the Prophecy 8

My running shoes have exclusively been Mizuno shoes for years. When Mizuno apparently was not making the Wave Prophecy model over the last few years, I bought up every pair I could find of the "8" version, and decided to try several other models to see which one would be a good replacement for the Mizuno Prophecy. The answer sadly is--NONE OF THEM. Among other issues, such as limited outside toe area support on the sides, the flexibility in the toe region is as close to 'nil' as could be possible---inviting orthopedic and other injury. Whatever happened to the excellent engineering at Mizuno?? I hope they consider bringing back the excellent shoe design of the Prophecy model. Until then, no thanks, Mizuno.

Amazing shoes. I used Mizuno in the past and I never been disappointed. The technology is perfect for long time runners picky like me. I have so many issues in my knees back and hips and was staving to run this smooth again. I used to run 18 miles a week but now I just do 6 to 8 but the shoes OMG they make the difference. Super smooth and light. I got wet and they kept my feet dry but I still don't know how. This is a shoe for running and I don't recognize it for walking around or gym activities because they are very loud. I usually get 1/2 size bigger.

I don't usually write reviews, but I am hoping maybe my review will help someone who was frustrated trying to find a good running/workout shoe like me. When I first started running I wore Nike's. I ran my first marathon in Nike's. Nike, to me, started to become more about fashion than good running shoes. I switched to Brooks and wore them for years. The particular style of Brooks I was wearing changed. I tried a couple of other models, but they just didn't work. My next shoe brand was Hoka. I wore the Clifton. Well, the Clifton changed. Go figure. So, I ordered 6 or 7 different shoes from Zappos. I got a couple of Asics, a Brooks, On Cloud, and Topo which I had never heard of before but had great reviews, and the Mizuno's. I've never worn Mizuno's, but I thought I would give them a try. I'm so glad I did. I can't run anymore, but I use them for all my workouts. I do step, kickboxing, tabata, hiit, and basic weight training. They are a little heavier than what is out now like the Hoka's and minimalist shoes, but that doesn't bother me. I'd like to buy another pair in case Mizuno changes the style of this shoe. I wear a 8.5 in running shoes, and these ran true to size for me. You really can't go by other people's reviews. On Cloud had amazing reviews, but I thought the shoes I tried were horribly uncomfortable. Since Zappos has their return policy, get a few different brands and try them. The only drawback to the Mizuno's is the price, but they really are worth it.

Terrific shoes! Anatomically shaped like a foot! Great cushioning and support! Plenty of style! Love the fit! These are 8.5 M, which is what I usually get in running shoes. Previous models were well-made but ran a little narrow. That has been corrected. These are my first, but not last ,pair of MIzunos!

I knew these shoes ran 1/2 size small, soI ordered appropriately. They are comfortable and accommodate my orthotics nicely. My only objection is that the right heel squeaks with every step I take!!

Typically I wear size 8 in running shoes. This is my first experience with Mizuno. Based on reviews, I decided to order up a half-size (to 8.5) for more room in the toe box. They fit perfectly. The cushioning and shock absorption is top-notch. Very attractive model with neutral colors and reflective details ("sky gray/silver"). The price of these shoes gave me pause but is justified based on my experience with them so far.

I have been dedicated to Mizuno's since I got serious about running about 8 years ago. I deviated once with another brand, and quickly came back to my Mizuno's. The Wave Prophecy was my go to. Since they are no longer sold in the US, I bought a pair of these. A good shoe, but not the same. Let's bring the Prophecy back!

Great shoes. I think they give great energy return. I wear them all of the time for 8 years. The only disappointment is they need to be replaced due to tear in the fabric near the toe and I always size up. I wish they would reinforce the fabric near the big toe. I have never had this issue with any other brand but I do love the shoes. I wish they would improve in this one way.
