Great cushioning and support for those who overpronate. One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

I am thrilled with these shoes. My first Mizunas. I've been looking for a shoe that corrects my probation, with a good heel drop, ankle support, and stability. A lot of the newest styles are lacking in all of these, sacrificing function and health to form and style. My knees are happy in these, which is a direct result of the pronation correction these provide. I also bought the Inspires, which have less pronation correction but will be good for when I want my feet to chill a bit. My gripe: the laces are too short. I do not have wide feet, but I do need to use the extra hole, and as a result the bow I can tie is tiny, and I have to pull the laces really tight. I might have to invest in longer laces, which I should not have to do. But otherwise, very thankful to find this well designed shoe. I marked them half size small, but really that's the case with all sneakers, not sure why.

Love this shoe: it wears like a hug. I don't run. I buy them because my feet love them.

Love the Mizuno shoes. I always do. This pair, seemed to run a tad smaller than my previous pairs. My normal shoe size is 8.5. I buy Mizunos in 9.5. This pair, I should have ordered a 10 apparently. I love the turquoise color!

These shoes are extremely supportive with a lot of cushion. They are also really cute, especially the blue and gray colors which are true to what is shown in the picture. The black color is nice, but a little plain and I haven't tried the purple. They run very true to size and are really comfortable.

I recently reviewed the size 8 (sorry, I just reread and see that it is ridiculously long, but I can't delete it). My foot size is 7.5, I normally wear an 8 (mizuno inspires), but needed to go with 8.5 for the horizons (perhaps because there's more cushion?). The 8.5 fits and I'm happy with them! I don't like taking them off.

Fantastic shoe, great arch support, superior cushioning, perfect room in toe box. Mizuno must have changed their last slightly, there's finally enough room at the tip of the shoe, and the comfort level is perfect. Thanks Mizuno!

This is a great shoe! I'm new to Mizuno but after trying many brands and reading many reviews and asking serious runners, I'm investing in this brand. I need a shoe that's really good for my feet and NOT just a fad. The cushioning is really good. Very attractive color & style, good stability and quality. This particular Mizuno seemed roomier in the toe box and I'm not quite sure you needed the extra 1/2 size up as with the others. As always ZAPPOS customer service is EXCELLENT!

The new Mizuno Horizon 3 is fabulous! From the very first time I put them on, they felt like my favorite robe, comfy and cozy! The Horizon 3 is very stable, true to size, and has plenty of cushion for my runs. I love everything about them! Way to go Mizuno!! #mizuno #mizunohorizon3

This shoe feels so great when I put it on. Tons of support for my feet and ankles. Runs on the small side though. I went up a full size.

Great update! Plenty of room in the toe with more mesh and less leather/stitching. Improved “style” as compared to Horizon 2. Very pleased!

When Mizuno contacted me to see if I wanted to try the new Wave Horizon 3 prior to its March release, of course, I said yes! I have been running in the Wave Inspires for a couple of years now and have been really happy with them. The Horizon, a stability shoe, is billed as a "high mileage shoe". I received the shoe in my favorite color, black, with purple highlights. It was love at first sight. Truth be told, the initial appearance of the shoe reminded me of my old beloved Asics Gel Nimbus, and after running in the Horizons, I think that this would be the perfect replacement for Nimbus lovers who have been disappointed with the changes in those shoes. The Horizon is much heavier than the Wave Inspires (9.8 ounces vs 8.3) but not so much that I noticed it on the run.In fact, I had my best run of the week in the Wave Horizons. The shoes are very cushiony and the soles are stiff like the ones on my Inspires. Do you Mizuno runners notice that your shoes make more of a snap when you hit the pavement than with other brands? I did also try my Wave Horizons on the treadmill, but because they are heavier, I think these shoes will be better outside. I'm really excited to continue running in the Wave Horizons.

This was my first time trying this brand and shoe and I must say I was impressed! I was worried my foot would be too wide but they are very comfortable and feel supportive. This is a great shoe for your everyday runs. I tend to wear some lighter shoes for workouts but this shoe is perfect for easy runs.

I've logged about 50 miles in this shoe so far. I primarily use it for road running, but it has been taken off-road a little bit and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it gripped! It has a slightly wider base, and that aids in the stability of the shoe a little bit. Great for long runs and especially slow miles. I was surprised by how smooth the heel to toe transition felt even on the first run.

I'll be honest- I don't typically like stability shoes. I could not stand Brooks Adrenaline. This shoe offers stability but is lighter and much more comfortable.

I run daily about 8 miles and I recently sprained my ankle, so this shoe was very cushioned, which helped me. I have worn Mizunos for the last 10 years or so and have always loved them. The Wave Horizon offers a smooth ride but I need more motion control for supination. I tend to like a more low-profile shoe that is not so "stacked." I would recommend Wave Horizon 3 for runners who want a very cushioned shoe and who do not need rear foot stability. As with any Mizuno shoe I've worn for running, it's always much better than any other brand.

I love the look of the shoe but when running they were rubbing on the insides of my heels which left me with painful blisters. Kind of disappointed being they were not cheap and I don't know if I will wear them often

In Brooks and Addidas I always wear an 8.5, (I wear an 8 in flats, sandals, and boots) but I have to size up to a 9 in these. With that said, these shoes were pretty comfortable. I have arthritis in my feet, so finding a shoe that works for me is hard. I took them on a 9 mile run today and had very minimal foot pain. Yes! They do have a lot of vents and my feet were a little cold the whole run (it was 25 degrees out). However, the vents should make it comfortable for warmer climates and summer days! Overall I am happy with the shoe.

Like other reviewers said, this definitely ran a bit small. I am a 9.5 in my Asics Kayanos and GT-2000s, which I wear the majority of the time, and went up to a 10 in these. That said, I am usually an 8/8.5 in regular shoes and boots, so it was a pretty big jump. They also feel a bit narrow. I like that, as I prefer a smaller toe box, but someone with a wider for would probably not find these comfortable. I ran an easy 7 miles in them the first time out, and they felt good. Lots of ice and snow where I'm at, and they seemed to have decent traction and support, too! I love the look of these shoes, and would recommend them. Just size up at least a half a size!
I'd also recommend:

I only buy Mizunos b/c they fit my narrow heel the best! Wave Riders no longer have the strip of leather on top by the toe so I decided to try the Wave Horizon. The HORIZON sneaker is definitely too small. All the reviews for the wave rider & wave horizon state they run small, but I always take a half size bigger than my shoe size in sneakers, So I stuck with ordering what I usually do for Mizuno’s, a size 8. But was disappointed that these are too small, my toes hit the front of the shoe. I am sending them back for the 8.5 & I’m hoping that my heels don’t slip out when I walk. My regular shoe size is 7.5. Hope this helps.
