This is an upgrade from my last purchase of the W. Creation 18 which I wore primarily as a training flat with occasional running. Hopefully the lightweight mesh will hold up better than the WC18, which wore through after about 2 years (I know, it's a little long-in-the-tooth for a training flat). Overall very pleased with this purchase.

Great shoe for pavement running or casual use, but the shoe does not have any lateral stabilization. I'm 215 lbs and used the shoe for running at a crossfit class and it performed great! The cushioning and recoil is perfect for a heavier guy like me. However, at one point we had to balance on one foot and that's when you realize the shoe's soles give quite a bit on the sides of the foot and makes it very "wobbly". It looks great too. Love it for just day to day use. It does run true to size so if you have wide feet like me you may want to look into a half size bigger.

Arch is about medium which is slightly shallow for me. Shoes look great and end up being pretty on par with my Gel Kayano’s as far as my personal preferences. They are slightly narrow for my wider feet and I have gotten some hotspots on the inside of the balls of my feet on runs over 7 miles. They sit a little high but have never been unstable. The sole is also pretty solid. They look like they would have some give, but you cant feel anything.

The change in the rear sole of the Prophecy 5 and on, where its springy or a type of plastic suspension that's no longer solid like the Prophecy 4 gave way and broke on the left shoe. I have still have 2 models of the Prophecy 4s that has the solid heal and the same design in the rest of the sole that are still in good condition that outlasted the Prophecy 5 I purchased from Zappos. This has discontinued my interests in the Mizuno brand being that the 5 model is a bit more expensive, but did not last nearly half as long as my two model 4 pairs.
