The good news: The footbed is extraordinarily comfortable. I like the toe to heel stiffness. The flat semi stretchy shoe laces are nice. Great traction lug design.
The bad news: The collar of the shoe is stiff and unforgiving, the tongue is too short and slips out when the 13th and 14th lace holes are used, the tongue is not adequately padded, the shoe strings are too long, and the meta-rocker is too far forward making it hard to take advantage of.
This shoe has the height but feels more vertically stiff than other Hokas I have had.
Please, Hoka, drop the annoying shades of blue that are in all of the women's shoe soles. Just give us the men's colors.

These shoes are extremely heavy and wide. i wear a 9 medium and these are like mens shoes (probably) or a wide shoe. After a few hikes i definitely did not like them. The weight alone with mud on them gives you weighted workout almost.

This is the third style I am trying from Hoka. Loved the other two, this is the first all terrain and plush ones I have tried. I am not sure why my feet are cramping but I think it might be an arch issue. I have flatten my arch over the years and maybe this one has a high arch.
If I tie securely though not too tight they don't cramp for long. The first time I took a longer walk I tied them tight as I normally do and my feet hurt the entire time. I thought maybe since they were new. Still happens some but I don't tie tightly anymore so I can be in them longer.
This is not the style for me.

These shoes are Not plush . I was expecting more like the Bondi which are not plush like they used to be either.

The "plush" is not quite as plush as I anticipated. However, I am still getting used to the feel and so far they are performing well. What I do really like is the roomy toe box, which I feel is quite similar to the Altra and a definite plus, at least for me. Originally ordered a size 8 and it was too large, so I ordered the 7.5 and it fits much better. I would say the shoe runs a bit large.

These are beautiful shoes and basically the trail version of the Hoka Bondi. But the fit of the Stinsons was different. While the tread was very sticky and gripping, my heels kept slipping around. I tightened the laces to "fix" the problem, but then my feet started to feel numb. LOL Forefoot was perfect for me (roomy!), good over all feel, so I'm pretty bummed about the heel issue.

This shoe has a mesh extension connecting the tongue to the side of the inside, which made for a tight feel on top of my troubled toe.
I had to return them

Left shoe was great but right shoe was a totally different fit. Back to Bondi I guess.

I bought the trail running shoes, likely I purchased the wrong kind but the the height heel to toe height difference caused me so much calf pain when going up hill. But the biggest issue is that they are so hot! Even when during cool weather hiking my feet were on fire. But they r soft!

Like many people i bet, i started buying Hokas because, they put more between my feet and the road; they were cushioned yet supportive. Recently they seem to be like marshmallows which will break down more quickly....at least my feet will from running in them. And on the contrary, the new trail shoes are stiff and hard. Where is the great cushioned support of the Bondi 5 and the Hubble??

When I first tried on these shoes they felt super. I wore them on dog walks for 2 days, my feet were very happy but my legs suffered. Sadly I am returning the Hoka One One.

So I really wanted to love these shoes. Unfortunately I don’t. I don’t hate them and will give them a try with orthotics, but for now they are sitting in my closet. First issue is they are really stiff and have a wide footprint. I wore them twice on a trail and found myself catching an edge on the side of the shoe. Second, I could never get them laced up enough to keep my heel from slipping. Finally, the footbed support felt like it was turning my ankles in. If I hadn’t hiked in them I would return them. Lesson learned.

I love the fit of this shoe except the tongue is too short and causes bruising on the front of my ankle.

This shoe just does not compare to the Stinson 4. The tongue is too short. The cut is too high around the ankle. The cushion does not feel as nice as the 4. I run road and trail. My first love was the Challenge ATR 3. I used the Stinson 4 to replace that shoe once I had exhausted every opportunity to purchase the style. The Challenge ATR 4 did not feel right either.
I am very disappointed in the Stinson 5. I'm not sure where to find the Hoka love now!

These ran big and looked huge on my feet! I would have to size down at least a half size. I ultimately chose a different pair or Hoka's .

The Stinson trail is my 'go to shoe.' Love the cushion. It seems to be wearing faster though due to a pretty loose upper with a wide heel and what feel like too much medial supportwhich throws my neutral gait out of whack. Still the best cushion and traction so I'll keep buying and cross my fingers for a better fit next year.

I was hoping this shoe would work because so many people have recommended HOKA to me. This one just didn't pan out. It made my foot feel crooked in the shoe and like I was walking with my feet tilting inward. I am not giving up on trying HOKA... maybe another style will work for my feet.

Think these would have been great if i could have gotten them in a wide width. However, all that was offered was a medium. Other than that, shoes were quite comfortable & supportive!

Use product for trail & road for Marathons. Have used Hokas for years. Needs lots more cushioning in the heel & more slope from heel to toe like the Stinson 3s & earlier models. Needs wider toe box & less restrictive design like the earlier Stinsons. This is almost like running in a Brooks shoe. You should go back to what made people use Hoka in first place. LOTS OF CUSHIONING AND WIDE TOE BOX.
