I have an issue with feeling restrained or confined, nope, never been arrested. The length felt true to size, but, several podiatrists have told me I have the scrawniest feet they've ever seen, and I hardly had any room in this shoe. There is a little bit of room in the toe box, just a little. It definetely has more than the Hoka Akasa, no room there, crowded! I do believe, though, that this was the intention, a secure, snug fit. This shoe was also very noisy and felt clunky. With little arch support and such a wide base, my knees and metatarsal pad wound up hurting. The solid black doesn't look bad though. Looks much better on our feet than it does online.

The shoe is functioning pretty much as it should. My principal issue has to do w/ your handling of my Credit issue. Bondi 6 failure was credited to me .... fine & good. The previous credit I had on the books that wasn't used because of Covid-19 hasn't been restored. That's what I'm looking for.

Ordered wide, and they are wide. Comfortable, if a bit cloddish as a result of the width.

I ordered my normal shoe size based on reviews despite my better judgement but, it was a half size too small. Otherwise it was comfortable but a bit clunky.

Initially, I thought these shoes were the perfect fit. The toe box seemed wide enough and the heel was small enough so that my heel did not slip. They also felt light and airy. I decided to put them on my feet and wear them around the house on carpet. Unfortunately, as I sat with them on my feet, my right foot began to have pain, and both of my feet felt as if they were being squeezed. I am boxing these up and sending them back.

I am hoping to like them when I finally get them!! The10 Gaviota runs small 1st time customer and had to return. I wear a 10 in all other shoes- keen, new balance, Aldens,J&M but we will see how a10.5 fits. The10 I tried felt great just a little small. The return sat with Hoka for 2 weeks with no response. I texted with a great CSR that had a pair shipped within an hour, thus the3 stars

Less quality than I was expecting to get from this brand since I had a pair of shoes before and they were amazing, feeling that the cushion wasn't enough supportive for the high price, wasn't very happy with this purchase. But I keep them since I didn't want to deal with a returning process.

I over pronate so I had high hopes for Gaviota. But they were tight across the top of my foot and no amount of loosening stopped the discomfort. I sent them back today. I also had a tough time getting advice via Text support whether I should try the Gaviota 3 or the Bondi 7 (I have Bondi 6's and they are incredibly comfortable.) It took hours for someone from Hoka to get back to my text and when they did, they hadn't seen the Gaviota 3 yet so they really couldn't advise me. Now I'm torn between trying the Gaviota 3 or the Bondi 7 but I'm leaning towards the Bondi. If only the Bondi came in better color options. Please?

First of all I love the way these look. They felt great walking around in. As soon as I started running my big toes went numb. This has never happened before with any other running shoes. Very strange.

I should have tried on before buying. My coworker wears the Bundi and loves them. Each style is different. Try on first. Will buy again but will try on at store.

I wanted good shoes for 12 hours shifts, expecting: good support, cushion and compatibility with a high arch . I wore those shoes for 4 hours, one day , but my feet hurt specially my heels. Tried another day, but still didn't work:( .

I tried hard, because I see the merit of these shoes, but I concluded they are not for me. I am a heavy endurance runner with delicate and wide feet. Surprisingly, these fit me well in EE size, i.e. were wide enough on the front while locking well the heel. I also believe they will last a long time. Finally on the pros, they provide great stability, with wide and well engineered foot step, although never scratched my ankles like some stability shoes tend to do. Nevertheless, despite relatively high isolation I found the contact with the ground too hard for me, as I can feel the pounding on my metatarsals and calves. I attribute that to the characteristics of the layers used in the sole, which sacrificed absorption for the sake of stability. Since I like the construction and their look I will keep them as walking shoes.

These are not the HOKA's of 10 years ago. I'm disappointed and besides the left shoe is narrower than the right shoe.

I am normally a normally a clifton guy, but decided to give the gaviota a try for the increased stability. This particular shoe does not seem to have the cushion that seems consistent with the clifton. I did not notice more support from the clifton. I would really like to see Hoka produce a cushioned shoe with much more arch support, a slightly bigger toe box, and a better back end of the shoe for heel and ankle tightness. Overall, not a bad shoe, but not my favorite pair of Hokas.

The support felt great but as I wore the shoe throughout the day they would rub the top of my toes and would become uncomfortable. I liked the idea of a thick sole because I am on my feet a lot at work but they felt heavy and a little clumpy

I really wanted to love these shoes. They have plenty of cushion and support and they felt comfortable with my plantar fasciitis. However they cause some of my toes to go numb when running. I tried adjusting the laces but still had the issue so they are being returned. The only other issue I have is that the laces were so long they touched the ground even when tied. Otherwise these are a great shoe just not for me.

These shoes are roomy and slipper like. I don't feel like I am fully supported - especially in the arch. They are a wide, but in addition to the shoe portion being wide it feels like the soles are extra wide and extend out like there are bumpers. I am tripping all over the place because they are awkwardly wide - beyond the foot. They feel like clown shoes.

I wrote a glowing review about these shoes a little over a week ago. Unfortunately I’ve developed blisters since then and can pinpoint the cause. My left foot is rubbing against the inside heel where the top and bottom of the shoe (two different materials) meet. There is a gap between the materials and it is causing blisters. I’m disappointed since I love Hoka but I’m grateful Zappos has a more-than-fair return policy. Thank you Zappos! I’ll be ordering a different brand of running shoe from Zappos.
