Comfy right out of the box. I almost ordered a half size up because I have wide feet and am glad I did not.

I bought these for my daughter. She is CNA with high arches. Her feet were in pain by the end of her shifts. She was wearing a pair of UA sneakers. She's worn these for 2 shifts and says that although her feet still hurt, it's very minimal compared to before. The price is high and they could offer other colors variations, but we will purchase again.

I bought these on a recommendation for people who have recently had bunion surgery. The rocking toe is a big help with walking far and not stressing the big toe joint. These are comfortable and I like the look of them (I chose denim blue). My only one little negative is that the bottom of these shoes is extremely wide, so they just look kind of clunky. But at this point in my life, function has to take priority. Overall very satisfied with this shoe.

These are terrible. There are no arch support or cushioning at all. My feet were hurting just doing a test wear around the house. They are very hard and uncomfortable.

These shoes are fantastic for walking and running. good cushion, great stability, not too bulky.
Be that as it may, black was the only color available when I bought them. They look like the shoes that waiters at mid priced chain restaurants have to buy at the uniform store.
Remember when there was a male elementary school teacher in the early 90s and he wore sneakers with jeans sans belt and one of those rugby shirts? These are the shoes he would strongly consider today. Practical.
Don't wear these bad boys with white socks.

I liked most things about the Gaviota 2. But had to send them back because, like many brands, the heel cup is too shallow (and a bit big for a narrow heel causing slippage) when an arch support is added. My heel slipped out when the support was added so they would not work for the exercise the shoes were intended for. Quality and style were good
I'd also recommend:
Many Addias styles have deep heels but too many styles are based on men's sizes.

They are so comfortable and have helped with my planter fasciitis. This is my 2nd pair and I’m hoping they last a while. Last pair had a squeak but Zappos replaced them. Great shoe great company to work with.

I ordered these recently as I was having issues with shin splints in my other running shoes despite thorough warm-ups and going easy on myself. I have wide, flat feet, which I believe is the source of my problem and after some research I decided to get these shoes in wide. I was a little bit disappointed at the color selection available in wide, especially considering the price and the fact that I am currently unemployed, but I decided to get the purple and they aren't bad; they do however look a bit like clown shoes as the sole extends pretty far out which I imagine is even more exaggerated in the "wide" option and I was tripping and scuffing my feet a lot before I got used to how big they are. On the plus side though, my shin splint issues have seen a marked improvement since I started wearing these shoes, so I definitely appreciate that. They also fit super well and are very comfortable even though they're not fully broken in yet. Still, I'm not sure yet if I would recommend them as I have only worn them a handful of times and some of the color is already beginning to scuff off of the bottom of the shoe--not a promising sight when it comes to longevity, but we'll see.

I ordered the Gaviota 2 because it said it was good for overpronation, and the "neutral" Clifton 6. I had an old pair of Clifton 4 that I loved and have worn out. I need arch support for overpronation but I also need a lot of cushioning for joint issues. The fit and the arch support were both great, and the sole is very wide and stable although the shoe does not fit wide. The footbed was rather firm compared to the Clifton 6. I decided the softer footbed of the Clifton 6 with an orthotic insert for extra ankle support was best for me.

The good news is that they are true to size. I wear a 9.5 and these feel exactly the same, size wise, as my other tennis shoes. These shoes were recommended to me by my chiropractor. I have a not fully formed hip, so the ball joint of my leg really floats around in that hip joint and causes me issues. I also have extremely high arches. I was wary of trying out new shoes because I have been wearing a different brand (same style shoe) for the past 10 years. When I put these on, the first thing I noticed is that they do not have enough arch support for me. I removed the arch supports from my old tennis shoes and put them in these shoes and the shoes felt much better. The one thing I REALLY like about these shoes is the much wider support surface on the soles. They literally are wider than my older shoes and you can feel that when you are walking. It offers very nice support. Even though we are quarantined right now, I walk 2-3 miles every day. The support feels great. My main concern when I first put these on was that the shoes were loose around the "neck" of the shoe, at the top where you tighten them. I moved the shoe string to the second hole at the top and with that change, I am able to tighten them up more so they don't feel "slippy". The other thing that concerns me (but may not be an issue in the long run) is that honestly, they feel cheap on the top. The top part of the shoe is a soft/light material. Even where I moved the shoe string from one hole to the other is literally just a hole in the cloth. In my old tennis shoe, there was an insert in the material, so I felt like the strings were supported well. With these shoes, I'm wondering if that hole will eventually rip. Overall, I am wondering how the top part will hold up in the long run because it does feel cheap. I am keeping the shoes because I love the wider sole.

The size of the shoe is good. I normally wear a 6.5 and the length is great. My only issue is the shoe is snug. Almost too much were it's squeezing my foot and causing numbness but I'm hoping they will stretch out as I wear them more. As for the cushion I think they are cushy and will help with what I think is shin splints and if I can wear them all day without getting foot or lower back pain.

Great for comfort for PF. A little narrow at the base of my toes, but I am trying alternative socks.

Very happy. On my feet all day. Love the heel of the shoe is narrow and the toe bed has plenty of wiggle room.

Not a runner! I have chronic inflammation in the ball of my foot and wear prescription orthotics. Bought these for everyday wear after trying stability shoes from other brands. New Balance 1540 felt okay at first but support completely failed within six months. Hoping these Gaviotas will last longer!
From my point of view, stability or motion control shoes need more development in general, but I have special needs - I over-pronate, but I also need footwear with a stiff enough sole to spread the load away from the ball of my foot. The Gaviotas' cushioning performs that function now, but I wonder if it will last. The Meta-Rocker really seems to work - not so sure about the J-Frame.
If ordering online, be aware that the color scheme on these shoes is important, because the sole is unusually broad compared to the upper. A white sole seems to work best, because it emphasizes the narrow upper rather than the broad base. I bought the all-black ones, and it looks like I'm walking around in frisbees...

while these shoes are made in wide, Zappos had none. So I took a chance and tried the regular width - way too narrow.

This shoe felt good on my feet, but it had too much sole. That gives you very good support, but for me it made it hard to walk. Kinda like walking with boards on your feet. True to size and the toe box was roomy.

These shoes are good! Not as much cushion as the older version of this shoe! They are still nice to run in.

I had these in dark blue and wanted a new pair to replace the old. My bad in ordering white. Just a bit too ugly for my taste.

The color was very sea-foam, which is not for me. I thought it had more aqua to it. More importantly, it's VERY clunky. I am fairly coordinated, but I was tripping and stutter stepping around my house, while testing them out.

I did the “find your size” feature and ordered according to the recommendation, but the shoes were too small, much too narrow (even though it told me to order the B width), and they had a very narrow toe box. I’m so disappointed.

I adore this shoe. I have problems with my arches, a bunion, and wide feet. This shoe is exactly what I need for stability, width and cushion. My joints and body are very happy, *however* I am very displeased with the workmanship and quality of this shoe. I have owned these shoes for less than a year and already the plastic in the ankle cup is poking through the fabric, and other signs of heavy wear are apparent. I have never had a shoe just start to fall apart so quickly. Given the high cost of the shoe, this should not be happening. If you have a tough time finding a comfortable shoe, and are okay with having to rebuy this shoe often, then it might be a good choice for you, otherwise you may want to keep looking.
