The shoe is comfortable must is cheaply made for what you pay. The pair I have the eyelets are breaking and the material inside at the heel is wearing out and casing hot spots on my heels.

These were not for me. At first they felt great but then something about them - perhaps the fact that they weren’t very flexible or perhaps that the toe box was very wide but too shallow - made my toes go numb within 10 minutes of walking around the house in them. Returning!

I wear a 7 sneaker to accommodate my orthotics for over pronation. These sneakers were cute and cushy with a roomy toe box. The sneaker looked like it was built with sufficient support for over pronation but they did not work for me as they were too tight across the arch (with my orthotics).

Love Arahi so decided to try Gaviota. Not a fan. The overlay of material rubs the inside of my foot & if worn for long distances will cause blisters. First & last pair of this style. Definitely sticking with Arahi.

This shoe is narrow. Initially they felt very comfortable but after three training sessions of onroad running it is clear that they are too narrow (I do not have wide feet). After a 2-3 miles my right little toe numbs together with the right side of my foot/ball of the foot. I wish I was advised better in the store where I bought them, apparently I needed the "wide" model.

I had tried these on in a running shoe store a while back. I have plantar fasciticis (sp?) and flat feet. I need to have some arch support but I also love some cushion. The running store was fixing to close, so I decided to leave without the shoes, because I was not totally sure. Where I live, they sell no Hokas in the stores. After trying several shoes, and returning even more, I decided to order these. When I got them and tried they on, they felt a little stiff. But very comfy. I put them up til the next day to try again to see if my foot would swell. I tried them on again, and it was so tight. I wear a size 9 1/2 and this is what I bought. It was squeezing the sides of my feet. I didn't want to get a 9D because I was scared it would be too small. And I didn't think a 9.5D would work, because it would be too long. The length wasn't an issue. The support was great, the cushion was great. It was just cutting off my circulation in my feet. They were too narrow. I was so hoping they were going to work. Had to send them back. Not sure what I will get now :(

Although I didn’t love the look of these - they seemed a bit clunky as opposed to sleek - I was hopeful that the low differential and extra stability in the heel would work for me, since I have a bad knee and am trying to rehab it. But they were *too* clunky and felt like I was wearing snowshoes! After hearing how great Hoka One One shoes were, I was so disappointed when these didn’t work. They went back.

I bought these in a eight regular. That is the size that i always wear. But when I tried these on and wore them they cut off the circulation in both feet. They tongue pressed to tight on the top of my foot. Returned them

This shoe has a small pointy toe box and unfortunately lacked cushioning for my plantar fasciitis despite using my usual insoles. Happier with my Hoka Stinson ATR which are more supportive and have a lot of toe space.

I tried this shoe for two weeks and unfortunately have to return them. My feet have been in pain which has never happened to me before. This pair must be defected. My metatarsal area on both feel were burning after each use. I tried different inner soles but that didn't help much. I had high hopes for these shoes based on the reviews. Just didn't work for me.

I have had HOKA One One before - loved them - they don't make that one anymore. Tried Gaviota 2 - not nearly as good. Stiff, clunky when walking around my house and overall not comfy. Have to be returned. Sorry HOKA.

This seemed to be suggested as the best option for overpronators from Hoka mods. The problem? An overpronator needs maximum stability and 'responsive' soles. Finding that the bottom was made almost completely from foam, though springy, does not provide accurate support without wearing down incredibly fast leaving you in pain where as a firm rubber sole would perhaps negate that issue. Does seem to run tight along foot near toes but fits well everywhere else. Can not stand by this being a suggestion for the OP'ers. only used frequently for a month before having to go and buy a different pair from another company. it just wore down so quick and I can't deal with dislocation of tendons every afternoon because a shoe wouldn't hold up and shifted my foot out of position. No thanks.

After two days of wear, knees and lower back hurt. Chiropractor put me back together. I do not recommend ANY Hoka models if you supinate (under pronate). I had to add some height to the heel overall. Re gait, after I slightly raised the outer heel on each shoe with moleskin, supination was ok . Toe box is great. However this is my last pair of hokas. I will use them for non-fitness activities, but am back to my Asics Gel-Cumulus and Mizuno WaveRider for fitness activities.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable. I have absurdly high arches and struggle to find shoes that are supportive and comfortable. These, paired with orthotics, are perfect. After long days on my feet, I'm not in any pain. The HUGE downside though is that these just do not last like a $150 pair of shoes should. I've bought two pairs now, and both have worn down far too quickly. The first pair I only made last through 6 months of moderate work wear, and by the end all of the black parts of the sole had peeled off, there were holes in the toes, and both heels had large holes inside that gave me blisters (one was so badly worn that the plastic structure of the shoe poked through). I bought a second pair in hopes that they'd be better, but after only 3 months there are the same holes in the heels. This poor quality is inexcusable considering the price.

I really wanted to like these shoes. Wide toe box, well-cushioned. I tried a 9 and 8.5. Both were too wide in that my foot slipped off my insert because it was too narrow for the shoe. The biggest challenge is that they slipped off my heel, no matter how far up I tied them and how tight. The wide width is the normal width with HOKA.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended stability shoes after foot surgery and suggested that I consider Hokas. I got Gaviotas. The good part is that they're comfortable. But the center forefoot treads of the soles in my 3 week old shoes are already showing significant wear. And they were not cheap. I walk for exercise but am not a runner. Very disappointed.

I am so disappointed in these shoes. After years of wearing Nike and new balance (long distance runner here), I finally decided to try out HOKA based on the positive reviews I had read. Since I pronate, the Gaviotas were the recommended shoe for my feet. Never have I once worn a wide shoe as my feet are not considered wide...or narrow, however these shoes are so narrow for my feet that everytime I run even a minimum of three miles, I end up with blisters on the inner sides of my feet (have tried multiple types of running socks and it never seems to fix my issue - it's definitely the shoe). To add to my disappointment, I've had these shoes for five months and the inside close to the back of my heel has already torn open and the plastic is peeking out - cheaply made....I've never had a running shoe already break down on me so quickly, especially for how expensive these cost. Overall, I can tell the stability in the shoe is very good but the quality and narrow design are disappointing. With the painful blisters I've gotten from wearing theses, ill be ordering a new pair of running shoes - and not from HOKA.

These shoes turned my arches too far up, so I am left with a lot of knee pain after my runs.

Wish I could still buy these today. Since I bought my first Hokas here on Zappos, I have purchased 5 more Hokas. Love them all.

This has been my all time favorite of the 5 pair of Hoka’s I have purchased. It was my first too. Loved the wide availability, stability is great. I felt like they were so huge but with feet problems, comfort is a must. My recent gaviota, the toe box is just not as wide.
