Felt it didn’t have the arch support I needed.

I believe my arch has fallen so that there is no hope for me. My foot flattens and spreads when walking and the Hoka are not forgiving. I started nursing school and seen a lot of students found these to be truly comfortable but it was the opposite for me. Clinicals May last 6 hours after 4 hours I am really fidgety and uncomfortable and unable to focus. I am dissatisfied I got these expensive shoes and will have to to buy something else.

Bought the akasa because bondi's were out of stock... shoe not as good as the bondi. Fits a little less snug and not as cushioned as the Bondi

I use the shoe around the house and out and about, for going to the gym and for walking.

I returned Akasa, because it was too narrow for me. I wanted to order another style, but didn't know what was the shoe for me, and didn't want to be returning again, and didn't know how many times I can return. Hahaha...So just went to a location that sold Hokaoneone shoes. Ended buying Bondi 6, I'm happy with them.

Love Hoka brand but these stretched out in a couple of months. This model did not provide the support I usually experience with Hoka

I bought my first pair in ww and larger size than my normal size thought these were like walking in heaven so I decided to get another pair however they weren't available in ww I made the mistake in not only down sizing the shoe but not getting it in ww the second pair was painful for my instep so it was a disappointed that it fit one foot fine but the other foot didn't fit well. I may try and buy another pair but in ww.

I bought these along with a pair of Bondi6 and these are not as comfortable as the other. They feel really wide even with the lace cinched tightly. These are balanced and I prefer the plush feel for plantar fascitis.

I recently sent these shoes back for an exchange for a different style of Hoka's. These just seemed alittle big on my feet

I have wanted Hokas to work for me. Alas, I've tried again, and it's always the same issue: they feel and fit like I'm wearing a man's shoe. I'm not petite at all, but these shoes always ride up and rub under may lateral malleolus. The insides feel great, the thick sole is amazing, but I'd never be able to wear them for long due to the pressure. Many of my running female friends love their Hokas and don't have the issues I have.
I'd also recommend:

I'm looking for a pair of cross trainer for sports on driveway and short neighborhood runs that I just started doing, so I ordered a pairs of akasa and tivra. I also already have a pair of challenger ATR 4. Both Akasa and Tivra has good toe rooms. Of all 3 models, Akasa has better ankle support and thicker cushion, but noticeably heavy and HOT. My feet feel hot the moment I put them on, and I am a person with cold feet. Akasa is a single layer knit fabric with holes that your can see your socks. Tivra is very light and double mesh fabric that breaths well. I like double mesh fabirc because they breath well but still keep your socks clean. I hope Hoka can make Akasa with the same fabric as Tivra and I'll go with Akasa in a heart beat. Now I still haven;t decided because Akasa is just too heavy and hot

I really wanted to love these. I love my other Hokas and I love the the look of these but comfort wise they just aren't working. If I get them tight enough to stay on my feet my feet go numb. If I have the tied loose enough that my feet don't go numb my feet slide all over the place in them. I had hoped I'd like the narrower sole but I guess I've gotten so use to my Bondis and Cliftons that now my feet are also rolling over on the sides. Back to the Bondis and Cliftons for me, but these sure are more stylish.

I normally have bad toe issues, back problems and need extra padding for my heels. This shoe does great for all of those (as have other HOKA models I have worn). BUT, the tongue of the shoe is driving me crazy! The top of my feet hurt after wearing them to work, and the end of the tongue seems a tad too long and leaves a sore spot. I really wish these felt better, they are the most attractive HOKAs I have had.

I really want this shoe to work, but it's a no for me. I wear a size 9 in most shoes; I ordered a 9W, as I have a wide forefoot. These are a 1/2 size too big on me. I don't think a 8.5W would fit, as these are narrow in the toe box, definitely narrow for a Wide. These are comfortable during try on, and I was hoping to wear them to the gym (had the size been right). However, there is no arch support in this shoe. After wearing for under an hour, my right foot was aching. Sadly, I'm sending these back. I do love the look and the color.

I thought I would love these shoes. The toe box was roomy with no heel slippage. The color was pleasantly neutral with no weird splashes of neon. The bright colors are ok for the gym, but when I travel I'd like to bring a single pair of shoes that can go for a workout but don't look crazy walking around town. They're super comfortable for walking, but they're terrible in the gym. I do HIIT workouts where I do quite a bit of jumping and landing on the balls of my feet. The Akasa feel like they have no cushioning at all in the forefoot. My feet hurt at the end of the work out. Back they go.

Love the minimal design, trendy fabric, and colors. Also love that the the toe box accommodated my wide forefoot. Based on the look of the design and the specs, I was hoping it would feel like the wonderful Clifton 3, but alas it does not. The rocker feels more clunky when I walk, and I do not roll through the shoe in the smooth, easy way that I do in the Clifton 3. Given that Hoka gets so many requests to bring back the Clifton 3, I cannot understand why they have not. And given how much more savvy Hoka has become design-wise, in terms of optically mimimizing the bulk of the shoe and offering more restrained/sophisticated colors, they could make a Hoka 3-based shoe that is a big improvement visually.

At first these felt great and I thought I hit the jackpot with comfort and being lightweight especially with running and walking. So much so I bought a second pair! $$$$ Unfortunately they seemed to break down quickly and I couldn't wear them due to foot pain on both feet. I'm glad they are discontinued.

Truly disappointed... my first pair was fantastic... I told everyone how great the Akasa Hooka were.. this pair finally put them on - was waiting for the good weather... and they bruised my feet. The inside flap material for the laces is so thick it actually bruised top of my feet .
