I wanted to love these, but they did not work for me. I have gone through 2 pairs of Saucony Guide ISOs and wanted to try something different. Either these shoes run quite narrow (I have never needed a wide in any shoe) or the support system just does not work for my feet. My left foot was fine, but on the right I felt the support rail under the inside of my arch and it was very uncomfortable. It felt like a stick in my shoe. That said, the 30 day return policy is excellent. I was able to give these a few good runs before returning them and got my refund within a couple of days, no questions asked.

The most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn- would never wear any other shoes after owning Hoka shoes.

We bought these for our adult son for his birthday and he tried them out on a 3.5 miler and said they're like pillows on my feet. I don't think you can ask for more than that to run in..

As a Clydesdale runner, this shoe has changed the game for me. I can now put in 20 mile weekend runs, where previously pain and discomfort would stop me at 10. This is my fifth pair of Arahi's and they have always treated me great. The only thing I wish is that they lasted longer, but at my size that is tough to blame on the shoe.

I do like this shoe. Two days before receiving these shoes, I was going to run an errand of about 1/2 mile and do a couple of neighborhood loops on the way back. I got about 50 yards, and my knees said that it wasn't going to happen. When the shoes came in, I put them on and stood up. I took a step, expecting a sharp pain in my knee. There was no pain. Some of the magic seems to have worn off, but the knee pain has gone from about 8 out of 10 to about 3. I can live with that. But, I have 3 problems with these shoes: 1) These shoes have zero lateral support. Using them for anything other than straight ahead running is not a real good idea (Nothing else so far has worked with my knees, so I still use these shoes for my workouts), 2) These shoes slip if the pavement is wet. 3) These shoes are already showing wear. This may have something to do with the fact that although my run log only shows about 50 miles, I have been wearing them everywhere. Having said all of that, I am annoyed with Hoka One One. Hoka doesn't make anything but running shoes. This doesn't help if I want to play court sports or team sports or to have suitable shoes for a relatively intense workout. I have been trying to get a pair of Hoka Challenger ATR 5 tral shoes that fits, but on my the first attempt, a pair the same size as the Arahi 3 in the same (wide) width was way too narrow. My other general complaint is that there is very little selection in model and color for wide shoes. In fairness most of the other manufacturers aren't much better.

I've been running in the Bondi 5 and 6, but needed more stability and wanted something a little quicker. So, I decided to try the Arahi 3 and I'm glad I did. The only thing I missed (and needed) was a little more cushion for my old knees. In each of my Hoka shoes, I've been swapping out the insole for the Sof Sole Men's ATHLETE Performance Full-Length Gel Shoe Insert. It is a great addition to the Arahi 3 and has made it a great shoe for me. Just wish they had more colors in the wide version!

I totally agree with the last reviewer about the colors. This shoe is desperate for a black and grey color combo. Just something darker and more sporty looking than these Easter egg pastels. Arahi 2 was basically just 4 different bad shades of blue. That was really weird Hoka.

This shoe is almost perfect. First let me say: Hoka, you've come along way this year especially with less seams and layers on the uppers and, NOT so loud colors. But, there is still room for improvement. I really like the Arahi 3 but, it needs more tread on the sole for (2) reasons. First, more traction and second it would add more life (longevity) to the shoe. Next, please make it in the Black / Wrought Iron colorway like it's cousin - the Gaviot 2. That colorway on this shoe would be fire! It's already smooth (not many seams) and the black upper would only make it look sleeker. I would rock this shoe everywhere I go, not just on my runs. And if you are daring enough, make it with a complete black sole (including the mid sole) and a wolf grey upper or, even oreo color upper. Promise this color combo would sell out first.

Overall love the shoe. Very comfortable with adequate cushioning and moderate support. Typically wear a 9.5 and these felt a little larger.

I need stability because of problems with pronation. I usually take a nine and a half in a Brooks Beast but I need a size ten with Hoka One Ones. The sneaker is comfortable and the 2E width is good. I would like more cushioning. I definitely need to wear socks with these. I like the lightness but for some reason, the uppers feel unfinished but the toe box is roomy. These are a nice shoe but I really prefer my Gaviota 2 also a Hoka product.

I originally purchased the Arahi 3 for running, but quickly found it not working for me. So, I used them exclusively for walking. They are comfortable and help with my over-pronation, but after about 10 months, the material in the heels are breaking down and tearing. So, I'm disappointed in the durability of the shoe. I just haven't put enough walking miles on these shoes for the material in the heel to be falling apart this soon.

I wear a size 14 and the Gaviota shoe changed my life. I had foot problems for years had to stop running then walking issues. The Gaviota changed the position of my foot and added cushion it helped my pronation problem. I walk/run 50 to 85 miles a week. (Mostly walk only run about 20 per week). The Arahi 3 does not work for me. After using for 1 week my feet hurt. Switched back to old Gaviota 2's. Hopefully they will get more in stock. Went through 4 pairs since March.

I bought these for there supposedly high cushion. They were soft and supportive. What I didn’t like I would describe as what seemed to be an opinion of what my stride should be. I didn’t like the almost round bottom.

Local running store recommended a shoe with a bit more support than the Bondi 5, and I was hoping to transition to a shoe that was a bit less bulky. I have wide feet and the Bondi 5 EE has just enough width for me to get by; a bit of discomfort as a I broke them in but eventually, no issues at all. Just wearing the Arahi 3 EE around the house for a couple hours, my right toe went numb. I had to return them. I have particularly wide feet (at least, my right foot). But I thought it would be helpful to differentiate between a known Hoka shoe size, and this model. Hope it helps.

At first these shoes were amazing. They felt light, but plush and helped me continue to do some runs even with plantar fasciitis, but after about 150 miles the shoe turned on me. I run about 40-50 now and every time I run in the shoes, I get huge blisters on the inside of my foot just behind the balls of my feet on the arch. It usually starts around 4-5 miles into my runs and let me tell you, the pain is unbearable. It seems like a design flaw since the mid foot into forefoot area gets super narrow and the shoe's platform actually curves upward- I'm guessing for arch support. I don't know if the shoes have lost their structure after 150 miles, but if that's the case then they're very overpriced for that little of usage. I wanted to like these shoes, but I don't think I'll be trying another pair of hokas for a while.

The size feels good, it is the width (D medium) that feels too narrow. I am concerned that it will not give as I wear the shoe.

I ordered both the Arahi 2 and the Arahi 3 and tested both. I ended up returning the Arahi 3 and sticking with the Arahi 2. After running 5 miles in the Arahi 3, one afternoon in both flat and hilly conditions, here's what I found: -the upper is more breathable, but it's also too loose; I was able to run in the Arahi 2s (14 miles over 3 runs in both flat and hilly conditions) in a size 11 and the fit was great. However, there's a half-size difference between the Arahi 3s and the Arahi 2s; the Arahi 3s are a half size TOO BIG, which made my run in the size 11 Arahi 3s uncomfortable (irritation/blisters) due to the too much sliding around. I ended up sticking with the Arahi 2s which had a great fit for me in size 11, and they're also discounted, presumably because they're outdated. I also noted that the over-pronation correction in the Arahi 3s is less pronounced, which is to say that in the Arahi 2s it is more pronounced. This might be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective and how much correction you want. The bottom line is the following: I would recommend purchasing both and seeing which one you like. If you have to purchase one though, I would recommend the Arahi 2 in your usual running shoe size, otherwise if you have to purchase the Arahi 3, purchase it a half size smaller than what you usually purchase a running shoe in.

Ordered these to replace my Ahari 2s. Front foot stability was much less stable than last year's model. Recognized the diff immediately.

I bought these shoes at the recommendation of a co-worker who spoke highly of them, but I'm disappointed. I've owned them less than a month and they just aren't good shoes. The sole of the shoe has compressed already and begun to deteriorate. They don't offer much in the way of stability anymore and for a "quality shoe price tag" I expected to get the same rough 3 month life span out of them. I always make sure to positively review products I like but I really felt compelled to share that I was disappointed in this shoe. They still have some work to do and in a few years I'll try them out again.

I need a high stability shoe and this one does a decent job but I've owned and used better. Shoe appears well made and was recommended by a friend so I figured I'd give it a try.. The biggest plus is that it is a comfortable shoe. Stability/support is pretty good but not great. Biggest downfall was when right after I started using these shoes the shoelace end came off and the lace started unravelling. When I contacted Hoka about this issue they basically said there was nothing they could do and that I should just go purchase new laces somewhere. Yes, I know, laces are inexpensive but it makes me wonder about their warranty support for anything else...probably not so good. When I pay this much for shoes I would expect better customer service and for this reason I will look elsewhere for my next pair.

After a 5 months of wearing off and on the shoes are wearing out in a weird, uncomfortable way. The shoe now has a plastic piece that is jabbing in the back of the heel making them completely unwearable. Unacceptable that these expensive shoes would wear that way.

The bottom of my right foot started hurting as soon as I put these shoes on and I walked around on the carpet at home for a short while. I thought I would get used to it, but by the time I took them off, the bottom of my right foot was aching. I have never had this happen before with a shoe, and I currently wear an earlier version of Arahi and love them. I don't know if this was a manufacturer mistake, or the design of the Arahi 3 just doesn't work with my right foot.

I have purchased two pairs of the Hoka M ARAHI 3 WIDE and the ARAHI 3 REG both sets of shoes fit very tight on just the left foot and also had major slippage in the heel. Just on the left. I really wanted to like these.
