The Gaviota 2 was my first Hoka. I have added seven others since and just added my second Gaviota 2. If I ever wear these out it will be on to the Gaviota 3!

The firm heal is great. However, it appears to collect stones in the tred because the of the squarish design of the indentations. My Hoka trail runners don't have this problem. A minor design change would help.

I have a lot of issues with my feet and my doctor recommend Hoka athletic shoes. I run a lot and my feet always hurt after. The wide toe box really helped! They do require a break in period for the show and your feet. Before a race I recently did I ran three times for shorter distances, building up to three miles. After the race my feet felt great!

The shoelaces were different lengths. On the one sneaker after I tied it it was touching the ground. I unlaced both sneakers and measured them sided by side and one lace was about 3 inches longer then the other one.

I needed a little more support so I'm trying out the Gaviota for more support. Thus far not disappointed. I walk on the treadmill a lot. Since receiving this pair I've walked about 25 miles since the 13 of January.

This shoe is helping me walk again after big toe fusion surgery. I have had trouble finding shoes that have enough cushion and stiff sole where my toe wasn't hitting the ground every time I walked and this worked. I ordered 6.5 extra wide and it's pretty roomy in the toe area, however I could use the toe box a little wider and deeper to make it even better. I'm adjusting to the change with the heel toe drop difference in what I'm used to.

These shoes are fantastic for walking and running. good cushion, great stability, not too bulky.
Be that as it may, black was the only color available when I bought them. They look like the shoes that waiters at mid priced chain restaurants have to buy at the uniform store.
Remember when there was a male elementary school teacher in the early 90s and he wore sneakers with jeans sans belt and one of those rugby shirts? These are the shoes he would strongly consider today. Practical.
Don't wear these bad boys with white socks.

The heel feels a little low but overall very comfortable. I like how the tongue doesn't slide to the side at all. I wear these all day every day. Normally an 8.5 wide but the regular width feels fine.

I am on my feet a lot for an office job. I also walk on breaks. These shoes are great for that. The only thing, my feet are medium. These shoes are almost too narrow, but only across the ball of my feet.

I used to only run in the Clifton, but after they changed the style with the 4 I decided to see what else was out there. I tried the Gaviota 2 and loved it. This will be my go-to running shoe (I hope they don't change it in the future!).

I have only had them for a few weeks and I've done more elliptical than running during this time, but so far I do find them comfortable and supportive.

Shoestrings are still too long and over time they twist up. You could make them shorter and stronger with better materials.

These shoes are absolutely amazing for road running, especially if you need a stability shoe...no pain in the knees or feet...at least for the first 50 miles......that's right around the time the cushioning is less...and by the time I hit about 120 miles, the tread is pretty worn...so if you like buying shoes every 3 months, there is nothing finer.

I train by running and jumping with a 7 lb jump rope and need the cushioning for the pressure on the balls of my feet when coming down. I have previously used your shoes with great success but the last pair felt a little snug in width and I purchased with wide version in hopes of avoiding pressure on the plantar fascia. I should have purchased the regular width.

I have flat feet and gave the Gaviscon 2 a try for the first time about 2 months ago. After the first month, I was impressed enough to order a second pair. The mid foot support has provided more support than any other brand designed for optimal arch support that I have tried. I walk 5 to 5-1/2 miles at least 5 days/week and the lack of noticeable wear on the soles to date is promising. I have the same comment I have with all specialized shoes; please make some great colors, even some neon ones! That would give it a 5!
